"So recently my friend and her boyfriend started collecting Pokemon cards(they started with Black and White and have slowly been starting other sets). They've... gotten a little obsessed. I've been collecting since 2003(not that I've gotten far with it, bits here and there when I have some extra money, though I've almost completed HGSS: Undaunted) and I think they've almost got as much - if not more than me - in about a month. Though, thanks to them I've also almost completed Black and White because they let me take whatever from their doubles(only got 20 cards to go~). Which makes me feel guilty, I don't particularly like recieving things and prefer to get them on my own. Though, I guess it kinda evens out because I gave them all my doubles when they decided they were going to start collecting - but I think they've given me twice as much as I gave them. I tried to even it out a little by buying some Eeveelution cards online for them - because my friend is obsessed with Eevee - but it still doesn't feel like enough. She went out and got me a Roserade card(I love Roserade, btw.)" T-T "I feel like a crappy friend in comparison. Why must my friends be so... awesome?"
(Also, totally bought Tales of Vesperia online today. Can't wait for it to arrive~ Maybe I can make it up to my friend by playing with her.)

"So... looks like I'm not getting the books I've been planning to buy for a while.... My friend, her boyfriend and I decided to split three ways on a Pokemon Booster Box. Now I'm gonna have to save up again so I can afford Deus Ex at the end of August.(since the money needs to be on my card and my friend will be paying me back in cash, and I'm too lazy to go to the bank and put it back on my card... unless someone in my family suddenly needs cash and pays me back on my card.)" XD "I should be banned from browsing Pokemon Cards online. I forsee stuff like this happening much more often now. Specially with my friend to fuel the urge for new cards. At least before I had the whole anxiety stopping me from going out and buying things."

Deranged Hero "Sometimes I forget to feed and bath, but not long enough for it to matter. I complete most games in 1-2 days." XP (And glad to hear that Fenris' laugh is not just me.)
"Man, I want to get Vesperia, real bad. I used to rent and play it with my siblings, (and never got to finish because Karol was an a*****e and stood there for 10 seconds... doing nothing, instead of healing us. F.U. Karol!) And Yeah, Yuri isn't whiny or anything, so he's pretty cool, and I played him throughout the entire game(except when I played Raven every now and then). And as a surprise, I didn't hate any of the female characters(Unlike in Eternal Sonata, I'm looking at you Polka, Salsa... and the chick who has that really long, really annoying death scene.) Though, it's been forever since I've played but once you get into it it picks up a little and has... more of a goal, I guess? I remember my siblings and I exchanging theories over what was going to happen." Oh, I would finish 'em fast too, if I sometimes didn't get distracted by other shiny things. It's a character flaw...but damn if it isn't fun. Bit of a perfectionist too myself ninja I wouldn't say that's it's because he's not whiny that I like him so much. He's not really, but there are particular moments (Like in the very beginning where they escape from the capital and he wants to run back to give back the money the townsfolk gave him - right into the soldier's waiting arms. I was like, dude, you can worry about that LATER. LET'S GO BEFORE WE GET BEAT UP AGAIN) when he crossed that line a bit. I think it's more because his character seems a lot more developed than other heroes. Luke. Looking at you >.> I know. I wouldn't say I "hate" the female characters just for being female, but I will say I'm not normally impressed with a lot of the roles/caricatures female characters are often put into. Especially Estelle's healer/naive/princess type - I don't hate her. I find her sort of cute actually. If I don't like anyone, it's Karol, and because of his high pitched voice. Gah. Ears...Karol can heal? I suppose there's a goal, going after the blastia thief. It just seemed a little random at first. But this is my first time back into the Tales series in a long time so I guess I'm just not used to it. Ugh, wanted to get a lot of the achievements on the first playthrough, but I totally forgot to use a lens on the second form of Zagi, first fight -facepalm- That one will have to wait till next play I suppose.

Ahah, I see, I see. Well, characters are supposed to be flawed so they can come off as human as possible. And humans sometimes don't think things through.
I don't hate female characters for being female, I just don't... tolerate their personalities as much, I suppose(so shoot me). I did find Estelle annoying at times, but not as much as other characters or that much(Again, Polka pisses me off to no end. Right at the end of the game she tries to -spoiler- for no real goddamned reason. And her english voice is horrid.) And I'm not particularly on good terms with Karol anymore since he messed up the final battle for me, but his voice isn't as bad as others I have heard(Polka, again, and Beat from the same game.)
Vesperia is the first Tales game I've ever played, so I don't really have anything to compare it too except various other JRPGs(it doesn't have long, tedious cut scenes like a Eternal Sonata, as much as I love the game, they're just so... argh.). Well, it's an excuse to play the game through again, which is what I'll be doing when it arrives."

I used to be like that with Yugioh cards, but I also tended to have a much greater control on my spending urges, but not always.
On a different note, I just turned 1000 days old today.

Ahah, congrats on 1,000. On this account I'm only 700-something days, though... It'd be much more on my original account(March 2005)."

That male macho bullshit some men pull pisses me off, so I guess we're even xD Perhaps I've just not seen all the bad ones. Try playing Star Ocean: The last Hope not on mute though. Welch's voice is going to give me an aneurism, along with Sarah. The English voices are HORRID. And they don't even give you the option to have the Japanese voices. I think maybe Arumat, Crowe, and Reimi are okay? Maybe. But very few elsewhere. This is...an example.I've only played Abyss before. I think that game is overall better, but I think I relate to Vesperia's cast better.

Oh, I've played it and I can't help but wonder why they think some of these voices are any good. Rather than trying to match the tone Japanese have they should try to get it to fit the characters without it destroying the players ears."

Suppose we humans can only hope to try and do better. Yeah. I tried playing the game - but it was either put up with Sarah's screeches or Edge's amazing ability at monotoning everything. In the end I haven't finished it. Which is sad, they did so well with SO3's voices, at least in my opinion, it's hard to see how they went so wrong here.

Part of that reason is also the odd plot twists in 4. I'm starting to dislike games that take you back to WWII instances, that aren't set in that time. I rarely see them done well. Grinding? I can understand that. I wish RPG's changed it up a little bit. I'm often not in the mood to relentless pursue levels just to get anywhere in a game.

Hahha, indeed. Some people are all like "games shouldn't be so easy! blah, blah, blah" but not everyone wants to, or has the time to grind. I haven't finished FF13 for the same reason, I did grind for HOURS so I could move forward(I had all the characters maxed out in the portion they were in), only to find that as soon as I got a little further I had to do it all again. Then I got right near the end and was doing fairly well - then BAM! - all the enemies were toughed up, I couldn't beat ANYTHING but also couldn't go back to train. I was pissed and have not touched it since." :/

OH FUU. So I played DAII: Legacy with a romanced Fenris, right? I won't reveal any spoilers here but...I happen to be involved in a few DA online communities and while I was parsing around info about other people's reactions to Legacy I find that where every other character has romance dialogue (not clear on that, haven't romanced anyone other than Fenris...yes, guilty as charged) but that Fenris' is glitched to all hell. Yeah. THAT WAS MY EXPRESSION. But anyway, did some more digging. Find out, possibly, the dialogue pops early Act II, right after he leaves you along that romance path. I found a video of it too and have to say that the dialogue fits. So. Screw playing Origins again - though I will finish that too because damn it all it has Zevran - I'm starting my mage playthrough tonight so I can play Legacy around Act II with romanced Fenris. AM I HOPELESS? YES. Also taking Anders on with me. I hear he has some interesting dialogue as well, although taking him along with Fenris may make Varric have to restrain my Hawke from killing them both. Edit: Oh, and Legacy? It was totally worth the $10. Even though I had to buy a $20 card from CVS in order to purchase it - I also got Arrival and Lair of the Shadow Broker for ME, despite not liking Liara heard it was a good one, so it kind of evened out. So, Legacy was worth it even if the Fenris dialogue is truly bugged. If so? Angry face. Edit Edit: Oh mai o: Where have you been all my life mage Hawke?
