Frederic just grunted a hi not turning to look at him. Frederic could feel the tears start to run down his cheeks and he let out an involentary sniffle.

he turns and looks at Keenan "It isnt just that... It is starting to feel like my last relationship all over again.. It hurts me to think that I am not good enough to be out in public with someone I love" he sighs. "I dont like feeling like a freak.."

Keenan sighed, running a hand through his hair, "look. I love you Frederic, I do...but why can't this be a, a...hidden love! That way, we can keep going the way we have been, we can be together without anyone knowing we're together...you know?"

Frederic pulls Keenan onto the bed and snuggles close to him "I am sorry.." he sniffles "I dont know why but all I could think about was what happened before.. It scared me"

"why? What happened before?" Keenan asked, although he couldn't hide the disappointment he felt, he had hoped that Frederic would throw a sh** fit or something...to force him to have some courage and come out...~dammnit, why are boyfriends so difficult?~ he thought silently

"my last boyfriend.. was an older man.. a married man, with many women at his beck and call.." he sighs "he used me alot. got me a place near his home. he said he was single. he wasnt ready for others to know because he was in power.. I saw him.. he had said he loved me the night before.. I finally thought i had love.. I was walking in the park and he was there with his wife.. he was kissing her.. I confronted him.. he beat me.. I had bruised ribs and everything.. the next day he came to me and told me that I was to never do that. I was his toy.. I was to never speak to him outside of my apartment.." he sighs "I freaked out.. ran home.. thats when my father found out.. sent for my aunt's husband.. got me to come here.." He sighs rubbing his head laying against Keenan.
(i was thinking that the two of them fight alittle more about being seen in public then right after a big fight (that they couldnt make up to each other) and then in pops his ex, maybe a mayor or something, and brings light to frederic being gay and hits him around some (so that keenan can be a man and stick up for his lover))
