"Trail Chaser...?" Alwine rubbed her... air where her eyes would be... sleepily. "Oh, the lights are back on!"
She looked over at Bartholomew and Belladonna, both still asleep, and adjusted her (massive amounts of) skirt so that it covered them more like a blanket.
"I wonder what the dinner will be... not that it matters to me, but maybe if the presentation is enough I could take a photo!"
Alwine pulled out an old paraloid from somewhere and looked it over. It didn't get damaged in the hustle and bustle, thank goodness.
"Hey, Rain and Merope! Smile for the camera! It isn't a nice one or anything, but it's good for a trip!"
The flash went off and a photo slid out from the bottom, some green ooze lingering on it. The headless haunt started to shake it, waiting for it to develop.

"Trail Chaser?" Hedera-Rose gasped-not a sterotypical overdramaic gasp, mind you, but just a terrified gasp-and, not sure if she was allowed to guess again, added "uh, A10?" in a wary tone.
Confidence was never her strong area and never would be. (Also, she should have probably been asleep like Barth-they were both sloth demons, after all-but Hedera was far too nervous to even attempt sleep!)
"Hi," she ventured cautiously to Jack, having slid closer to the boil sometime when the gnomes had announced some 'Trail Chaser' being on the train. Physical closeness, even just being next to anyone, was fairly comforting.

Sheeki startled awake as the lights came on. He blinked his eyes as he tried to adjust to the sudden amount of light. "Trail chaser?" Sheeki mumbled out as he rubbed his eyes. "Sounds like some cheesy western movie."

Sleep had been dreamless for the witch (a fact she would be grateful for after all of this was done and over with) and the sound of Jack's voice seemed to rouse her, for she sat up in her demon seat, blinking slowly and looking around.
"We sink anymore?" She asked groggily, yawning widely and suddenly realizing the lights were back on and gnomes were talking! Now that the lights had been returned, Belladonna let out a heavy sigh of relief and felt the need to stand from Bartholomew's lap. About to turn and thank him for taking such lovely care of her, Belladonna instead caught the tail end of Rain's speech about trouble, sticking together and something referred to as a 'trail chaser'.
And with that she hopped back into the boil's lap, her face against his chest as she fought tears. "I don't want anymore trouble! Oh this is dreadful!!" Part of her wished her dearest Binx was here to cuddle with, but the others around her would have to do. A flailing hand reached out to grab whatever she could of Jack, her eyes wide. "You'll stay nearby!? I don't want the lights to go out again or... this whatever to get us! AUGH!"
This train ride was decidedly not what she had wanted. At all!

Alwine mentally decided that she would have to get Bartholomew a new shirt after this was all over... and Belladonna a handkerchief or five.
"We're all sticking together, though I apologize to whoever has me as a 'partner'. I glow, at least, in case the lights go out again.."
Alwine shifted nervously in her seat. "A-Anyone want their picture taken? The one of Rain and Merope turned out alright..."

Mandy had found it hard to get to sleep again once the lights had gone out, what with the whole nocturnal thing, but had manage to lightly doze when the lights coming back on startled her awake. Listening to the gnomes talk she pursed her lips, trail chaser? Greeeeat. So much for Prof. Red guarantee that the train was safe. Though at least there was one teacher on here at least. Not much could if they where attacked quickly though. Still paring up was a marginally good idea at least, though who in this cabin would pair up with her was up in the air.
Thinking along that line she decided to speak up, interrupting the conversation around her, "We should make a list of pairs so we don't forget who should be with who. That way it's easier to keep track of anybody going missing - especially the quiet ones.", she'd noticed how silent some members where. Or asleep, hard to tell.Â

((Augh. Sorry for missing a crapload. I had a field trip that took all of yesterday and it was very tiring, plusI had school today so I got 10 minutes at most to peek around early this morning.))
Though Colette had originally thought he was just a lump, sitting by that lounging demon had made her tired and she had quickly fallen asleep while waiting for Battleship, her swords tightly cuddled in her lap. Remarkably, she slept through everything. The only thing that had woken her up was the flash and click of a camera. It took her a moment to blink and rub her eyes, but once she heard about photos being taken and caught sight of the camera, the Reaper tensed. "You.. you didn't take a picture of me sleeping did you?" She absolutely hated having her photograph taken, and the ghoul was easily paranoid on a train with a bunch of students she didn't know.

"That's a good idea... um..."
Alwine looked at the two next to her, Belladonna clinging to the Sloth Demon like her life depended on it.
"I'm so sorry for suggesting this, but... I mean, I know that you're comfortable with him, but... maybe we should try to have as many people paired off with a ghost or someone who can glow? For example, Merope could be with Rain... Bartholomew or Belladonna could be with me... ahh, perhaps we should get a neck count of how many people can glow?"
((EDIT FOR COLETTE))
"A-ah! I'm so sorry if I woke you, um... no, I don't take pictures of anyone without their permission."
Well, now that she thought about it, she hadn't asked Rain for her permission.
"Um, most of the time, I mean.... n-no, I didn't take your photo, um..."

Hearing a new voice hit his fuzzy ears, Jack turned his attention from the battleship board to his new partner on the floor, a flowery feeling Demon who he had missed the original round of introductions. Eyebrows raising slowly, he gave her a curt nod, before rubbing one of his dry eyes from being pretty much awake all night long. "Merry met. A little wary, are we? " He asked nicely, wondering what brought another close to his person.
Upon Belladonna's reintroduction to the group, he felt a tug on his tail once again, and turning behind him, he caught the worried face of the now very awake reaper. Giving her a soft smile, he shook his head. "We agreed to stick together when we started this journey, right?" He murmured to her, softening up his looks as much as he could. "And I can glow, mostly. Zwei has excellent night-time vision." He finished lightly, looking down the row at the cat who had not moved very far from the chairs he had parted from, blue-grey eyes watching everyone without a care. He was enjoying this, whether they liked it or not.

((I re-read it and I think it's Belladonna. If I messed up, just smack me and I'll edit. ^^; My brain's a little foggy from my cold...))
"I saw you glowing earlier," piped up Alwine. "But you're not a ghost, are you? That's a really nice trait!"
"Okay! So we have Belladonna with him and... I guess I'll stick with Bartholomew, then, so that His Matress-Majesty doesn't have to move... ah, sorry for the bad joke there, really..."
Alwine was counting on her fingers, trying to make pairs in her head, but it was a little difficult to do that when you had no head to make pairs in.

Oh! The power! Nevena sighed audibly with relief as it flickered back to life, but immediately narrowed her golden eyes at the gaggle of gnomes that were babbling some nonsense their way. What were they talking about? Trail Chaser?
What in Jack's name was a Trail Chaser?
With a snort, she folded her arms towards her chest and narrowed her eyes at some wailing witch that was all but rolling about in the lazy demon boy's lap. Seriously? Really? She had no dignity at all. If she wanted to claim him, then claim him, for Jack's sake, but stop with the dramatic, useless-woman act!
Nevena felt a headache coming on. The snakes immediately popped up at the mention of a picture, eagerly rattling their jaws in an attempt to catch Alwine's attention. Nevena hissed at them to shush. They ignored her.

Alwine couldn't keep track of the semi-formed pairs, especially with all that rattling going on...
Wait, rattling?
Alwine turned around and peered over the back of her seat to the unamused Gorgon sitting in the back.
"Oh, they're so pretty!"
I suppose it would only be normal for a woman who was afraid to horses to have no problem whatsoever with snakes.
"Really, the colors are very lovely, and they're very well-behaved too... then again, I don't have a lot of experience with snakes... may I take a photo?"

(( It is Belladonna. Colette hasn't talked to him at all. o 3o ~ ))
Colette felt bad for jumping to conclusions and apologized, her voice somewhat quiet in shame, "Oh.. I'm sorry." She figured she probably looked like a loon and decided it was best to move on.
She stretched and looked around; there were a lot more students than before and she took in that something was going on, she just didn't know what. Some just looked like they just popped out of their pumpkin not too long ago. A bit dramatic, she thought, but then again she had no clue what was going on so far. It would only test her patience if more panic and whining broke out.
She drummed her fingers on her swords, a little massage for them and a comfort for her, because Colette started to feel nervous about all these strangers. "Sorry I was asleep.. but what's going on? Why are we pairing up?" The question wasn't directed at anyone specifically, she was desperate to know what was going on. This was her first train ride and the ghoul felt a need to know what was happening.
