Misty had caught the the little meaning as well and looked up at him. Rather than being offended by it....she just gave him a little grin and stepped out of the alley. "Guess you're right. Could be one of the gowns with the back out of it."

C.J. nodded with a smirk. "Very true, hon." he said as he looked around. This was one really big part of town. Fortunately, they slipped past undetected as they went looking for some food.

Misty tried to keep herself hidden between the buildings and CJ as they walked to hide what she was wearing just a bit. Even with all the costumes running around, it wasn't normal to see a hospital gown walking around. That caught some bit of attention. And if Fisk was looking for her...

C.J. stopped in front of what looked like a clothing store. "Hey, sugar. Wanna stop in and get changed? I'll cover for it, but that way we can blend in a little better." he said. Of course, HE had not much to worry about. Street-clothes vigilante.

Misty looked over at him, then gave him a smile and a kiss on the cheek. "Yeah. I'd probably get less looks if I was in my actual costume." she replied, then quickly stepped inside the store before anyone else stopped to do a double take at her.

C.J. smiled and kissed her back. "Doan' worry, hon. Little easier t' move around." he said and wandered in, hands in his pockets. As long as his luck held out, he'd be able to pull everything off.
Hey, Benoit. I got a question.
"Shoot, hoss."
How the hell do you, Dundee and Arell manage to fund everything? I mean, y'all do day jobs?
"Arell used to be a bank robber. Trust me, we still have PLENTY of cash. Between that, bands and bounty hunting, we're good. Not well off as Bruce, but well off enough not to be in debt to anyone."
That explains why y'all manage to have money every time.
"Of course, writer. Wouldn't want us to go around broke, right?"

Misty calmly walked up to the register with an embarrassed little smile on her face. After inquiring about clothing, and explaining how she was on the loosing end of a previous deal, the woman behind the counter just sighed and shook her head.
"Down that aisle and to the right. We should have some clothing in your size." she replied.
Misty smiled and glanced back at CJ as she made her way towards the back.

C.J. walked around the aisles after seeing Misty off with a smile. He usually didn't do much for shopping, but he figured he would be fine. However, he remembered, he had a phone call to make! He stepped outside and dialed the number back after hearing the voicemail smirking as he waited. Twilit Eternity ((Pssst. Twilit . . . . pick up ze phone.))

Realizing it may be a while, he heard the voicemail.
"Hey, Roxi, it's C.J. . . . saw thatcha called and I'm in town for a few days, hit me up and I'll come over and play some for you." he said through the phone and hung up. Can't be that bad over there, can it? he thought and walked back inside and found Misty. Wrapping an arm around her he smiled. "Any luck, sugar?" he asked.

Misty smiled as she felt his arm around her and looked up at him. A blue shirt hanging over one arm, a pair of sandals hanging from her hand, and....a line of jeans and shorts all around her.
"For most of the outfit anyway. The way the cut pants around here...it might be more appropriate to just turn this gown into a skirt." she replied with a small grin.

C.J. smiled. "No worries, hon. I think I got some things back home that can help with that." he said. Well, by "home" he meant Dundee's trailer. Since he was the one with the circus, he actually had a real "place to stay" in comparison to the others. Arell still being wanted by the New Orleans police and C.J.'s parents still thinking he was in college really complicated things.

Misty gave him a little smile. "Well...in that case I'll just try what you have." she replied, then looked back at the jeans. "I doubt trying to squeeze myself into these is going to be good for the kids. And I'm.....not much of a fan for the Daisy cuts." she replied.

C.J. smiled back. "That's alright, hon. 'Course, most of us're a little big, but we can bring whatcha like here, too. No trouble t'all." he said. Taking off his cowboy hat, revealing that bird's nest of a messy ducktail haircut.
Say, Benoit, you DID hear of a comb, right?
"Well sure, but my hands are a little busy. Besides, I just imagined Misty in Daisy cuts. WOW! If only you saw what I thought up."

Well....she's not a fan of them because she's not used to walking around in such things in public. If he wanted a pair for later though...he is paying for them.
Misty smiled a bit at his hair, then ran a hand through her own hair. She hadn't brushed hers in...who knows how long either. Hers was easier to manage though with the layered cut and curls she had.
"Well then. A top, good pair of sandals, and a few other things should be fine. You're paying for it, so I won't get a whole lot. Is there anything you want?"
