Luke headed back to his room wit a heavy sigh and an even heavier heart.
Fester squeezed through the tear that Demetri had left, and looked around. He was in a forest so he went to explore a little. As he wove his transparent way around the gardens he found something interesting. And something oh so fun. Oh how will Demetri will be pleased with him! The dragon took off back into the forest, soon slithering up to the child he sensed as Demetri. 'Master! Oh Master! You be proud, yes! I find vixen for you! Little fire fox! All vulnerable and weak, Master! Follow Fester yes?Follow yes?'

"I will have my revenge." Demetri sensed his familiar's approach before he heard him, and he slowed to a walk, his little legs moving as fast as they could to keep up with the pace the wizard was used to. He could tell Fester was excited from the broken way he spoke, and the wizard stopped to raise an eyebrow at the dragon. "That certainly does sound interesting," he agreed, scowling at the wimpy tone of his child's voice. "Good job, Fester. Let's go see how hard this fox bites, now." With one last glance over his shoulder, Demetri watched as the door to the castle closed. I'm sure that Fox-girl will take pity on a poor little boy. It shouldn't take much to get back inside there. There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow frowned, leaning forward on his elbows and staring at the book sitting on his desk. So far, the instructions for the scrying were more complicated than he remembered. He hadn't had need for a scrying pool in years, and so he would need to make one. Why is it that everything I need to do nowadays requires a complicated potion that I have no hope of figuring out? he wondered to himself. Along with his younger appearance, his patience had grown smaller, and his way of thinking was beginning to revert from that of an old man to young one again. Anya has yet to wake up, and even then, she still needs to be released from Demetri's power. The wizard leaned back in his chair, looking over his shoulder at the sleeping faerie. "This is going to take a while..."

Fester led the smaller Demetri around the castle and into the gardens. The dragon weaved through the trees and and soon pulled aside the weeping willow's branches to reveal the temple where Lunora was currently in silent prayer. 'In here Master! Little kit in here! Kit is weak! She cries, Master! She cries like child!' the dragon said with a heavily implied mocking laughter as Fester eased the door open silently to let Demetri inside the dark tomb.
Lunora just sat on her prayer mat, her eyes closed as she prayed silently, slipping a strand of her mother's prayer beads between her fingers, its little fox charm bells chiming softly as they swung. She silently counted the chimes as she slid the beads through her fingers and making the bells chime softly.

"I will have my revenge." Demetri smirked and ran his fingers briefly over the dragon's scales, nodding his approval at his old friend. You've done well, Fester--thank you. Stick around for a while; I'm not sure how well my powers will work in this body, he said, tugging the little tuft of hair that fell into his eyes and frowning. With a deep sigh, Demetri screwed up his face. His tear ducts, having not cried for years, took a moment, but he was able to force a watery sheen to glaze his eyes. As a single, salty drop began leaking from the side of his eye, he wrinkled his nose and sniffed heavily. Satisfied, the boy-Demetri pushed into the room, sniffling loudly and wringing his hands in front of his tunic. "M-miss?" he stuttered in his child's voice. He waved one finger, and the door slammed shut. Jumping, he whirled around, whimpering softly. "H-h-hello-o?" he whispered, backing towards the fox demon slowly. He felt carpet under his shoe, and he pushed himself backwards, pretending to trip. Blinking up at Lunora, he began to bite his lip. Well, doesn't she look upset, he thought to himself, genuinely surprised that this was the same feisty creature he'd faced.

The fox stopped stringing the charmed beads in her hands to look to the boy. Yet her eyes held no trace of the fiery passion she had held in the other dimension. Her eyes were a bit glazed over and lined with red from her own crying. Yet her fox ears were set on him extremely intently. "What are you doing here. Little children do not belong here."

"I will have my revenge." Demetri forced his skin to pale and he scrambled up onto his hands and knees, crawling backwards and letting a few more tears drip down his cheeks. "I-I-I'm s-sorry, th-there was a-a-" his fingers twitched on the carpet and there was a distant howl heard from the distance. Demetri jumped, launching himself at the girl and hiding behind her, whimpering as the howl moved away. "Wolf," he whispered, peering up at Lunora. What will you do now? he wondered, blinking big innocent eyes at her as they filled with more tears.

Lunora listened to the howl as it drifted away. "There is nothing to fear. That is just my brother calling for me." she said blandly as she moved a little to see the boy who was trying to hide. "Now run along, boy."

"I will have my revenge." Demetri sniffled and let a few more tears run down his face. "I-I don't kn-know where t-t-to go!" he cried, bursting out into frantic sobs that sounded like hiccups. If one looked closely, you'd notice there were scattered holes and stains on his clothing, as if he'd been on the run for a while--too long to just be running from a howling wolf. His hair was matted and tangled, and there were scratches on his face. How much will it take for you to take me home? Demetri thought irritably, but he reflected only fear and sorrow in his large, glassy eyes.

Lunora sighed deeply as he sobbed. "Please be quiet." she said, shakily getting to her feet. She walked over to a section of candles under the scroll and gently placed the beads back on the cushion where they belonged. She then walked back to the mat and looked to him. "Well... I can't leave you out in the wilderness, and you cannot stay here." she gave some thought and sighed deeply. "Fine... Come with me."

"I will have my revenge." With concerted effort, the small child hiccuped his sobs to a stop, covering his mouth for a bit before standing and looking up, up, up at Lunora. "R-really? I-I mean, yes ma'am," he said in a soft, squeaky voice, attempting to rub the tears from his eyes but only managed to smudge dirt on his cheeks. He continued to peer up at Lunora, waiting for her to move. For a moment, his childish blue eyes glinted their previous black, but as soon as they began to water a little again, the illusion was gone. This isn't a very powerful spell, Demetri thought to himself. He was already tired from the exertion it took to keep such good acting going.

Lunora silently led him out of the tomb and to the castle. "One thing. Don't you dare go in there again." she muttered coldly, before falling silent again. She led him through the winding paths of the gardens then into the castle. She gave him a moment to rest before pressing into the castle, leading him through complicated hallways until they came to a paper sliding door. She then opened the door for him.

"I will have my revenge." Demetri nodded jerkily, glancing over his little shoulder briefly before jumping to catch up with the fox demon. He tried to keep up with her, but his little legs just couldn't. When she stopped to take a breath, he sat on his knees, gulping air like it was in a glass. Once he'd caught his breath, he looked up at the castle they were coming towards, widening his eyes. So that's what the mysterious Master looks like, Demetri thought cockily as the shadowy shape stepped back from its attic window after peering down on the two. Demetri almost smirked, but he remembered what form he was, just in time to launch himself onto his little feet and trail after Lunora. "Where is this?" Demetri whispered quietly just before Lunora opened the door.

"My room. If it looks important, don't touch it." she said, lightly pushing the boy inside before closing it behind her. She went into the back room and fished out a shirt and tossed it to him. "Put that on." she said, not waiting for any reply or complaint.

"I will have my revenge." Demetri caught the shirt with ease, glad her back was turned so she wouldn't be suspicious. Shaking his head, the little boy narrowed his eyes, but as soon as she seemed to be able to see him, he just started to scramble out of his dirty, ripped shirt and pulling on the too-large one he'd been tossed. He pulled on the sides, looking at it. It looks like I'm wearing a dress for Gods' sakes! he thought, a string of swear words trailing after his thoughts. He'd expected to be taken straight to Jethrow, where he could find where Anya was. Then, a quick execution of his brother and he would be gone. It seems that I can't get this demon out of my way,

Lunora soon brought out another mattress and a few pillows. She laid it down near hers and put a thick blanket on it. She then took the shirt and buttoned up the bottom so it wouldn't drag. "Get some rest. I'll be back." with that she left her room, going to Jethrow's.
