The last class of the day, and more importantly, the week, had just come to an end for the third year and he was finally free for some relaxation time. Since he class was on the fourth floor, Kavi headed up one floor to meet up with his friend Tambry so that they could hang out. They usually just talked about stuff and things whenever they spent time together, but it was nice to have someone other than his brother to talk to. Though some times when they hung out, they went for runs together or Tambry showed him her dances or something like that. It was nice having a friend that wasn't just online or from his football team back home. To actually hang out with someone and spend time with them, it was pretty nice. Arriving in the corridor near the Ravenclaw common room, he checked his watch to see what time it was. He knew she usually headed out around this time to go to the Great Hall for lunch and he figured he could join her for the walk, rather than just meet her there. Kavi still had his backpack with him, but that wasn't a big issue since it was magically charmed to be weightless. It would, however, be really annoying to go all the way to the basement to drop it off, then all the way back up here, so toting it around for now was the smarter decision. With a little huff, Kavi leaned against the wall to wait for his friend.

Kavi was beginning to worry that he looked creepy or suspicious waiting outside of the Ravenclaw common room, especially since it was taking Tambry a while to come out. But finally the door opened and out emerged his friend he'd been waiting for. The teen smiled a little when she looked surprised to see him there. She asked if he'd come to meet her or was waiting on someone else. "Well, uh, we usually meet for dinner on Friday and my last class just let out on the fourth floor... so I thought... I would come up here to meet you to walk together... if that's okay?" Oh gods above, what if she had other plans before dinner? He didn't want to intrude on her plans if she wasn't heading straight to the Great Hall. Kavi hadn't thought about that. Since they usually meet downstairs, what if she had to stop somewhere before dinner and now he was stopping her from doing that. Or what if she had planned to eat dinner with someone else today? Dang it, Kavi thought to himself, getting all into his own mind. Of course there was something to contend with as well and it was this weird fluttery feeling in his stomach. It really only happened around Tambry and only recently, but it was still weird. Maybe he ought to ask his brother about it, but he was sure that if he wasn't sick, his brother would tease him about having to ask.

When Tambry confirmed that it was okay for them to walk down to the Great Hall together, he nodded and smiled a little. After all, he didn't want to be an inconvenience to his friend. Kavi often felt like he didn't really belong around too many people and he didn't have a big circle of friends like his brother. So he didn't want to do anything to drive away one of the only friends he had. As they started walking down to the Great Hall, Tambry mentioned that a Hogsmeade weekend was coming up and asked if he wanted to go down with her. Kavi did enjoy the weekend trips to the village thus far, mostly because he could get some snacks from the sweets shop. He hadn't much explored the village though because it was usually crowded with people and he didn't much care for the crowds by himself. Vikram had been with him once, but had disappeared the moment he saw Csuri walk past. "Yeah, that sounds like a blast," he responded, offering her a small smile. "I need to get more chocolate bars and buttered toffee anyway. Is... is there a favored sweet you'd like to get too?" That sounded like normal conversation, right? Give a fact about yourself and then ask that of your conversation partner...

Kavi nodded, making a mental note of Tambry's favorite food, fairy floss, aka cotton candy. He could definitely spoil her with that; anything he could do to make her smile, he would. He felt happy when she smiled and it made that weird fluttery feeling in his stomach when she did. It was still a mystery to him why that was happening suddenly, but he should definitely talk to his brother about it. Vikram would know what was going on... though he would probably tease Kavi for his question. Tambry actually went ahead and answered the question without even knowing that Kavi was wondering about it. She clarified that she wanted their Hogsmeade visit to be a date, rather than just hanging out. She added that she fancied him as well. Could this feeling mean that he fancied her as well? He... would still talk to his brother to make sure. But Tambry needed an answer to her question so Kavi nervously scratched the back of his head. "Oh, a date? Uh..." He chuckled nervously, feeling a little heat color his cheeks. "That... that would be fun. I... Yeah, that sounds great." He wasn't expecting to get asked on a date but it was definitely something that he wanted, though he was still very unsure of how to act on a date. Best way to learn was hands on experience though, right?
