Kedrick Suwa
the walk home was very awkward and quiet, Kedrick kept glancing over at Arielle, then back at the ground. 'If we're ever going to get anywhere in a relationship...things can't stay like this.... I mean, we talk normally when nothing embarrassing has happened, but whenever something slightly awkward happens...it's like this all over again......' Kedrick studiedly his shoes intensely as they walked along. "w....we're home..." He improvised lamely. motioning up to the mansion, feeling ridiculous. He pushed open the door for her, stepping inside.
((sorry, it's been forever, my art shop has eaten my life.....)

Arielle Shore
Arielle walked in and smiled shyly, thanking Kedrick for opening the door. She closed it behind them and walked to the kitchen, trying to see what she could snack on. The thought of the dance returned to her memory and she was tempted on telling him about it, but didn't know where to start. With a small sigh, she walked upstairs, mumbling about needing to do her homework and wished that she had some more courage at the moment.
((It's alright. Oh, and just a pre-warning, I'm not going to be here from Wednesday-Sunday because I'll be out of town for Thanksgiving.))

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick smiled as he watched her ascend the stairs. "have fun," he commented with a smirk. He walked into the living room, sitting down on the leather arm-chair. It felt strange to Kedrick yet, the rich, smooth leather was far more comfortable than he was used to in the past. He closed his eyes, relaxing. Kedrick had almost drifted off when his cell-phone buzzed on the table beside him. He blinked himself awake and sized the vibrating phone. Kedrick flipped it open, holding it to his ear. Before he could say a word Dimitri's voice cadenced over the phone "helooooo!" He said in a sing-song voice. Kedrick winced and held the phone away from his ear. "Hey Dimitri," He replied numbly, trying to ignore the way his ears where ringing. "I've got important news." Dimitri said, and didn't wait for Kedrick to ask what. "I've found the love of my life! the flower of my heart." he said dramatically "oh really...." Kedrick said. "I though that was Susan...last week was it?" he asked, leaning back in his chair. "nononononono." Dimitri scolded. "not Susan, Arielle you dope! She's the most gorgeous girl I've ever met, and besides she's got..." Kedirck held the phone away from his ear, deciding he didn't need to hear the next part of the conversation. after a moment, he picked it up again. "yeah, Dimitri, that's great...but... I think she's spoken for..." Kedrick improvised lamely, cutting off Dimitri's inappropriate rant. "WHAT!?!" Dimitri cried "WHO!?! I'll kill him, I'll throw him in a blender! any other guy who dares to even think about..." he pause. "who is it?" he demanded. Kedrick paused. "I'll get back to you on that...." He said and hung up his cell-phone. Kedrick leaned back in his chair, glad their conversation was over.

Arielle Shore
Doing her homework was pretty much uneventful for Arielle. She always got rid of her least favorite subjects, which were Math and Science, before doing the things she actually enjoyed. As she continued, her phone started to ring and she picked it up, wondering who it could be.
"Hello chica!" Cam the voice of her friend, Maria.
"Hey Maria. What's up?" Arielle asked, a small grin growing on her face. She turned her phone on speaker so that she could continue her homework with her free hands. Sadly, she didn't know how loud it would be.
"I had this wonderful idea. How bout we go shopping for the dance. And have you found a date yet. Tell me you're bringing Kedrick? Oh you should definitely bring him. And he can bring a friend of his too because I definitely need a date. Oh please tell me you're coming Arielle! It wouldn't be the same without you."
Arielle only found herself giggling during her friends random rant. She just went on and on, bouncing from one thing to another. She felt her cheeks redden at the thought of asking Kedrick. In response, she said shyly, "I wouldn't mind going shopping. And, I was thinking of asking Kedrick, but it'd be weird. And you're in luck. He has a friend. Maybe, if I ask the both of them, they might come."
"That's a fantastic idea!" Maria exclaimed through the phone, "Hey, I have to go right now. Have to help out in the shop. We'll talk more about this later. Bye bye, Arielle."
Arielle said goodbye and hung up the phone, glad that the conversation was over. She continued her homework before she stopped, wondering if she should ask Kedrick now. With a sigh, she walked down and saw him sitting in his chair. She rubbed her arm and smiled shyly at Kedrick. "Hey Kedrick, do you mind if I ask you a question?"

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick closed his eyes, his face still slightly red from embarrassment.'Dimitri likes Arielle... I like Arielle...and I don't have the guts to tell him...or her...Dimitri seemed more serious about Arielle than he was about the first twenty three girls.... He couldn't possible actually like her...could he?'
Kedricks thought where interrupted when he herd Arielle coming down the stairs, asking if she could ask him a question "hm?" Kedrick looked up at Arielle, still trying to recover from his previous conversation with Dimitri. "Yeah, sure, shoot." he said, sitting up from his slouching position.

Arielle walked a little closer but stopped. She stopped rubbing her arms but now began to play with her fingers. The moment had now arrived where she needed to ask Kedrick if he would like to go to her school's Harvest Dance. She only wished it wasn't so hard to ask. She sighed and took a breath before she looked at Kedrick. "You see, in a week, my school will be having our annual Harvest Fest. It's mainly a boy ask girl dance, but we're allowed to bring outside guests. My best friend, Maria, and I were deciding on going and we had no dates. I wondered if you and Dimitri would be interested to go." She looked at him and smiled shyly before looking at the floor, "I was just going to ask you as my date but Maria didn't want to be alone. I mean, hopefully it's alright with you."

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick couldn't stop the ridiculous grin that started to spread over his face . He wanted to jump up, smooch her, and say "alright? Of course it's alright!" But he forced himself to be calm about it. "really?" He asked, still smiling "yeah, sure! I'd love you! I, I mean! I'd love to...." he said, recovering from his fumble, his face flushing red. He was glad that the room was a little dim, hopefully Arielle wouldn't notice. "I should call Dimitri and tell him," he said sheepishly, standing up, He walked into the kitchen. Kedrick flipped open the phone, dialing his friends number. "Hello?" Dimitri said, responding the the first ring. "yeah, hey Dimitri, it's Kedrick. I've got a message for you..." Kedrick shouldn't have paused because Dimitri cut in. "Did Arielle confess her undying love for me?" he asked. "no." Kedrick replied simply. "I understand." Dimitri said "she just needs a little more time, trust me! give it a week." he said. Kedrick rolled his eyes. "no, that's not it, Arielle and her friend wanted us to come to the Harvest dance at their school." "ohhhhh!" Dimitri said "this will work out great! I'll take Arielle, you take her friend, that way we both end up with a hot chick! well I should go see if i need to rent a tux! bye!" he called, hanging up before Kedrick could explain. "oh great..." Kedrick mumbled.

Arielle Shore
Arielle could only smile in relief and felt an overwhelming feeling of happiness. She felt herself blush a little as he said 'I'd love you', but then fixed what he was trying to say. She then started to wonder if he actually had those feelings. Arielle nodded in agreement and watched as he left. She then went back to her thoughts, hoping deep down that he actually meant that way about her.

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick stepped back into the living room with a sigh, He'd have to explain the details to Dimitri later. The little Detail that he was taking Arielle, not Dimitri. "He said yes," Kedrick said to Arielle, leaving how exuberantly he had said so. He smiled sheepishly at her, wondering if she had heard his earlier slip up. He did mean it, he really did, Kedrick was just far to embarrassed to say so. 'How could telling someone you like them be so difficult....Maybe I should tell her at the dance, that would be ideal....' He thought. Kedrick glanced over at Arielle, "Are you hungry? He asked, it was almost dinner time.

Arielle almost jumped in surprise, forgetting that Kedrick had left the room. Why did she have a feeling that she had been left in her thoughts for so long? When the information that Dimitri was coming was said, Arielle smiled and hugged Kedrick. "Oh this is great. I'm so glad he's coming. He might get along with Maria quite well actually." She moved back and smiled at him, "And yes, I would love dinner. Is it already that late?" She stopped asking dumb questions and walked into the kitchen, looking to see what she could make.

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick blinked in surprise when Arielle hugged him, he felt his skin prickle. Slowly he put his hands on her back in a sort-of half hug, but by that time Arielle was already pulling away. He stood there for a moment before following her into the kitchen, trying to see what he could do to help Arielle with dinner. Arielle was a wonderful cook, her grandparents had taught her well, Kedrick felt like He might make a mess if he tried to help, like he had a few nights previous with the pot pot. He felt embarrassed when he reflected on letting the pot boil over. "I'm excited about the dance, it's sounds like fun...are you?" he asked, looking for conversation. Normally that was no problem, the two of them almost always found something to talk about, but now, when ever Kedrick felt awkward about something he tended to freeze up and not be able to think straight.

Arielle Shore
There's got to be something in here that we can make, Arielle thought to herself as she continued looking. They had enough food but she had no idea what to make. She remembered something about how to make nothing into something. She used that when it came to homework and also when it came to things that were creative. With a nod, she pulled some vegetables and fish. She cleaned off the vegetables and heard Kedrick's question. With a nod, she answered back, "Yeah, I'm really excited. Thanks for accepting to come. I was actually a little nervous of asking you at first. I was scared you say no."

Kedrick tipped back his head, laughing, he didn't know why it seemed so funny. "why would I say no?" he asked, reigning in his laughter to a quite snicker. "come on Arielle!" he said, picking up a piece of celery and washing it off before starting to chop it up." did you really think I wouldn't want to go with you?" he asked, though it was phrased as a question, he meant it as a complement. Kedrick finished chopping the celery and added it to the bowl of already-chopped vegitables.

Arielle made a face as Kedrick started laughing. Her cheeks grew warm and she only smiled. "Yeah, yeah. I know. Such a silly thought for me to think that you'd say no. You're just too nice." Now it was her turn to start laughing but she actually meant what she said. She pulled out the pans and started to fry the fish as well as cook the vegetables. She turned to him and flashed him another smile, "But I never asked a guy to a dance. So I was a little nervous. But I'm so glad you said yes. You have no idea what that means to me."

Kedrick Suwa
"Probably not..." Kedrick admitted with a sheepish smile, running his fingers though his already messy hair. He leaned over her shoulder, sniffing the frying fish. He was very close, it was almost embarrassing. Kedrick stepped back, murmuring a quite complement about the smell before leaning back against the counter. "so.. I was home-school as a kid, so I've actually never been to a school dance....what's one supposed to wear?" He asked, picking up an expensive looking crystal salt-shaker and looking at her though the glass.
