"Mmmh... didn't think so."
Rhoslyn still couldn't see him. Well, there was only one thing to do: go and set magical alarms on all of the exits, then stand and the front door and wait impatiently for Roen to exit. Wouldn't help if he teleported out, but still. He'd set out for the front door and proceed to wave his wand about (procured neatly from the sleeve of his tailcoats) muttering things under his breath - not magic words, but disgruntled muttering.
It was worth noting he meant almost literally what he said - blood and flesh. Whether or not it was taken didn't matter, and given the fanciness of the situation, it was far too messy to try to get the exact payment then and there if he had to carve it out for himself. Of course, unless Roen had managed to roll a good number on his Sense Motive check, or whatever, that probably wasn't communicated.
Wander wander, spell spell.

Esouna tilted her head, smiling in good-natured amusement. She didn't always get to relax and be happy like this. "I guess you'll make their weapons disappear?" the fairy assumed, before draining some more of her soda. She ignored the man who felt the need to make a spectacle of calling someone out--typical, vying for the attentions of everyone. The best way to deal with these overgrown toddlers with weapons was to ignore them, like all toddlers.

Vansin clapped generously after a hand went to Viviana. The game had started off...haphazardly at the start, but now it was now seemingly under a bit more control.
Vansin continued to sit and watch, woefully alone. The chair next to him remained completely empty, and the seat of it glistened enticingly. Perhaps illusion magic?
No, Vansin couldn't cast illusions. Well, not many, at least.
That's not a martini, He would whisper mentally, referring to the glass that sat next to the woman. So enthralled in her hand was she, she hadn't noticed that it was wine.

Archie gave a small little laught. From that last statment, it seemed like Esouna thought that he was a magision. Shifting a little, he pulled his feet of the table and just kind of laid back in his chair. "I guess you can say that their weapons will disppear depending on how big they are." Of course he was taking about trying to either steal their weapons, or just disarming them and getting their weaopns away from them.

KB continued to play, offering his assorted competitors cool indifference. It seemed at one point that he was winning, that aces seemed magnetized to him. Between them and suits, he was dominating the small playing field. While he played with an emotionless demeanor, the treatment of his gloved hands to the cards was rough. Every time he put the cards down it seemed to be an act of finality.
It became clear as the game went on - players coming and going while the diehards stuck to it - that the vampire's key weakness was that he never folded. No matter his hand he would play it to conclusion, though his betting changed accordingly.
Having won the first hand of the game with three aces, he could afford to be cocky.

How big they were? That made sense; he'd only made palm-sized objects disappear so far, so the fairy assumed that was what he meant. The nodded quietly. She finished her drink and leaned back, bracing her arms against the table. Her stomach bulged from the quantity of the drink, but Esouna showed no signs of discomfort. "I guess you'll go far, then. Some people rely on their weapons a lot." She noted that, if she still had her short sword, this man could make it disappear by virtue if it being small enough for her to wield. Alas, that weapon was long gone.

Well, that ended rather pleasantly (for Ed at least because no one liked Roen) if not anti-climatically. The cyborg shrugged his shoulders as if it did not matter anymore; his need for something alcoholic easily taking priority over everything else on his short to-do list. A list which included, 'Acquiring haters', 'debuting big booty bitches with Wigi' and 'not getting killed.'
Edward took his seat at the bar once more, close enough to Sokoya and Anson to over hear their conversation, but definitely not close enough to give a s**t. "A rum and coke," the punk ordered the bartender politely, trying to his drank on before attempting anything else. Unless he ******** had to, and the way things were going for Roen. He might just ******** have to. The nerdy cyberpunk took the drink, sipping the short glass's contents as events unfolded all around him.

((Too late to start a fight))
Nope, she still couldn't fight him like that, it was too much. She passed him a napkin, looking the other way as she dropped it on the counter. Then she waited for a drink. Her face was red and her spine stiffened.
"I'm not a paragon of class, but even I know this isn't appropriate," She said. "I know you want attention, but you're really starting to piss me off...."
The whole time she spoke she looked to the other side of the bar, but this weird shameful question popped into her head as she took a sip of light cooler drink in a tall glass.
"Are you fighting like that, or do you just want to get noticed here?"

Looking down at Esouna as he kind of spread out a little bit, he noticed the bulging belly. A kind of random urge to poke the belly came about, but Archie didn't act on it. Giving off a small nod he gave off a small yawn. "Yeah I've met people like that beofre. Anyways I'm getting a little tired, I think I'm going to call it a night and go hunt down my hotel room. I'll be seeing you around Esouna." With that, he would wait for Esouna to say her last little words and he would head off for the hotel area.

The young man was patient enough to calmly stand by while she tested the waters and postured herself to show that she wasn't interested to everyone around her. Everyone except those who were stupid or inexperienced; and the boy standing beside her was only one of the above.
His left hand hung at his side, counting links in the silver chain of the rosary wrapped around his wrist as he slid them one by one between his fingers almost by reflex; and his right hand went for one of the tiny square napkins on the bar to wipe up the punch that had spilled when he put down the cup.
A responsible young man, apparently... or simply responsible enough to look like a saint in a room full of sinners.
"Oh you know. I heard there was a party, and I was really let down. Unless all the drugs are in the back room."
"Ah," was all that could really be said in reply, barring a sharp wit and a quick retort, "I suppose you're just not in the mood for all of..."
There was a short pause as the young man held up his hand briefly to point at several of the spectacles taking place in various parts of the room- from the large man's angry rampage to the short-lived duel between two self-important competitors.
"Aren't you a little young to be relaxing at the bar?"
"Don't you mean 'aren't you a little young to throw your life away'?" replied the boy with a half-hearted smile and a sharp exhale that almost qualified as a laugh. "Kids these days grow up so fast. One day they're living a normal life and the next... bam. Fighting crime in a technicolor costume."
A moment after, the boy grinned; turning his blue eyes to the side at the stressed lady (not to be confused with a lady in distress) whom he seemed to be keeping company for now.
"Aren't you a little young to be talking about how young I am?"

And right beside Edward, believe it or not, came Roen. Sitting down next to the cyberpunk and laying his right hand on the counter, the Devil would idly flex the digits and grimace before ordering some Southern Comfort on ice. Digging his elbow into the counter top and laying his chin on his palm, Roen would sigh, lowering his eyelids half-mast and looking for all the world like the epitome of indifference. "I should have had my own ball on Ever's boat," he said as a means of striking up conversation. "She and I could have had dinner, some wine and dessert. Rolling waves, clear skies, just the two of us. Oh, thank you."
Dipping his chin to the tender who brought him and Edward drinks, Roen would sigh, looking into the depths of his beverage. "I think I broke my hand on Vansin's head. A few knuckles, at least." Flexing his fingers again, the Devil would grunt and drop his left hand to pick up his glass and bring it to his lips to take a modest sip. Once down, the rear of the glass would find a coaster once more.

Viviana had been enthralled in her hand. What with the Vampire seemingly pulling Ace's out of his sleeves, she had to pay close attention to the cards.
What? Viviana raised a brow, she hadn't even had a chance to look at the Martini, but when she did tear her eyes away she saw that the cocktail she had ordered had indeed been replaced with a glass of wine. Her lips turned downwards into a frown. She had been looking forward to some good gin and olives.
But then, that frown vanished as the last two cards were turned over by the dealer.
Viviana brandished her hand with a devilish grin.
"Kings full of eights." She said, throwing her cards down and pulling the chips towards her.
You know I already 'ad a wine!

"Goodbye then, Archie," she responded, and allowed the man to leave. Well, that was interesting--a man with the power to make small things disappear. She'd have to watch out for him in the tournament, if that extended to objects of her size. Critical existence failure didn't appeal, honestly.
Esouna lay down again, allowing her stomach some time to settle before she flew around the ball area some more. Now, when was that bracket coming out? It had been a while.

The Crossed Fox Dancing, dancing and more dancing... Yasuo was taken by the beat - and by the movements of the woman he had been dancing with. She had it going on, hips swiveling and curves flowing with the rhythm of the techno songs the boomed overhead. He had returned to his own dance moves as well, after that short little fiasco that odd flying woman dawned upon the pair in the center. Sure, other things were going on, but Yasuo didn't care. In fact, the only thing that mattered was what was in front of him right now - good, somewhat clean fun with a beautiful woman. He'd ask her, "What's your name love?"Curiosity overtook his mindset as he now faced the Fae. She looked oddly familiar in terms of little details - like she was related to someone he knew or something. Speaking of which, a familiar face was caught in the corner of the ninja's eye. Rhoslyn, his team mate from HoH, seemed to be in attendance of the ball. Maybe after the dance, and getting the girls name, he'd go speak to his old team member for a bit of catching up. The Fae smiled as he began to develop his own rhythm. She just loved it when people got into the music.
"The name's Stella. But you would've found that out once I win this tournament, anyway! Tee hee~!" she giggled, covering her mouth with her hand as she laughed. It was hard to believe something this cute and adorable was going to use deadly force to get what she wanted.
However, Stella's expression quickly changed as her beloved techno died out, and was replaced by an over-dramatic fanfare for Roen and Ever from the orchestra. But the fae hadn't looked angry, really. Rather, she looked cold, sternly staring at the two in entrance who had stolen her spotlight yet again. Twice in a matter of minutes? Consequences would be had.
When she'd finally torn her glare away from the Devil and his company, Stella noticed that the ballroom was starting to become a bit... treacherous. Fights were breaking out left and right, and it became less of a ball and more of a brawl.
The Crossed Fox "Oh man..."In came the hulking behemoth that was Ebris. Yasuo had remembered mention of the HoH '09 winner several times through his experience back in Latent. "Dragon Miner" some called him, while others mentioned he was nothing short of a monster of a human being - if he could even be called that at this point. Ebris always was a different one, or so Yasuo assumed... The shinobi attempted to ignore what had been going on as well, but things were really starting to heat up. This random guy gets a headbutt from the mountain of flesh that had just barged in, and then he retorts with trying to bash his hands across Ebris' head like it'd do something. This was going to get way out of hand, really really quickly by the sounds of it. He couldn't even get the girls name at this point - he felt he needed to get out of the way of what was obviously headed to the center of the arena. And as such, he used his chivalrous teachings and dragged the Fae along with him. Taking Yasuo's lead, she followed closely behind, off of the dance floor and out of the way. She let out a small sigh, disheartened that her night of fun and glamor had nearly gone to ruin.
Rhoslyn Vernal "Excuse me, ladies and gentleman, I need your attention for a minute." Stella obediently looked up as the relative silence brought attention to the one at the microphone. As if all else stood still, the rest of the ballroom was muted, and the fae's eyes narrowed.
"...Unseelie," Stella hissed between her teeth, although careful not to alert Yasuo to her muttering. "Blast it." This night was turning into a disaster.
Stella contemplated leaving, and looked around at what was left of the crowd.
Roen Jaeger "Seer damn tossers," the Devil grumbled, his tail thrashing every so often behind him in agitation, "I can't cater to you all. Where the hell is my date?" Throwing the napkin and ice down onto the table, Roen would lift his right hand into his left and massage, lips pursed. "What's this now? I think it's time I had my fun..." Stella said to herself, grinning mischievously.
The blonde Seelie fae turned to Yasuo and gave him her most charming smile. "Thanks for the dance, hot stuff~" Stella murmured, as she leaned in to give him a quick kiss on the cheek, should he let her do so. The fae gave him a wink in parting, and disappeared into the crowd.
Her destination? The orchestra, who was currently taking a break due to the commandeering of both the speakers and the microphone. As quickly out of the orchestra pit as she was in, she left the orchestra missing one crucial, heavy instrument.
"If he likes music so much, let him get a load of this."
Wind gently surged underneath the fae, giving her the strength to hover gently off the ground. With the instrument she had taken wrapped around her, Stella moved skillfully through the crowd without even a step-- she let the wind do the moving for her.
Roen seemed to be busy ordering drinks, and talking to a metal-jointed man. Regardless, he seemed temporarily distracted. Perfect.
The Devil would feel something behind him, just as the fae gave a tug to his spaded tail. "Roen, was it?"
Just as he would be about to turn around towards her to figure out who was messing with his tail and conversing without so little as introduction, the Devil would be loudly cut off.
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONK!!
Stella had blown a gigantic gulp of air into the large tuba she'd abducted from the orchestra, right into the Devil's ears. It was the epitome of his fanfare-- loud and obnoxious.
