Omega: Follow the Bottle
Was everybody on the Omega team always such a killjoy? Sure, there were always rules being an X-Man but no other team seemed to be micromanaged to the point of being told when you can breath. Petra was already dreading being called up to the big leagues if this was how it was going to roll off the battle field. This was supposed to be vacation, not lock down.
"I go with vodka," She muttered as Eli took the bottle from the tray and walked up the hill. If the team leader wanted to tar and feather her for not partying on the beach, then she'd deal with it later. And quite possibly deal with it by telling Ms. Frost where she can take her promotion. If they weren't hurting anybody, who cares?
Following the route to the location of the semi-private party, Petra put he tray down and sat by the rocks. She put her hand over the vodka bottle top and said to Eli, "Slow down, Eli. Vodka not going to run away but hangover will punch you in face, yes?"
She was a seasoned veteran with this stuff. The last time she had a hangover off vodka was when she was fourteen after the first winter learning to drink the stuff. If they were going to be under the thumb, she would at least do her best to make sure they didn't get into too much trouble out here. But enjoyed themselves enough to relax.
Taking the bottle from him, she took a swig and savored it as it rolled down her throat. Swirling the contents of the bottle around, she actually looked at the surroundings. It was gorgeous. Having enough vodka to feel loose but not drunk, she leaned back on the rocks and swirled the contents of the bottle around.
Breaking the silence she asked, "How did you find... eh, this place? Beautiful."

Another glass of wine? Don't mind if I do.Forellen was situated comfortably on a beach chair enjoying the cool night air combined with the warmth of the bonfire. The music was mostly for dancing and at the moment Forellen wasn’t in the mood for dancing...later perhaps but for now she was more interested in lazing in front of the bonfire and relaxing. Forellen simply watched the other people here and the bonfire and with a lazy interest she would toss a scrap of food into it and watch it pop and snap sending up a small shower of sparks as the fire consumed it. Call her lazy but she was on vacation and to her that meant that she didn’t have to expend any more energy then she felt the need to exert. With one last sip Forellen polished off the last of the wine in her glass and sat up before stretching. Maybe another glass wouldn’t hurt. Forellen wasn’t worried about getting to tipsy like a few of her fellow vacationers were at the moment. Some of them weren’t professional drinkers so the alcohol in the hard liquor that was used to spike the punch was hitting them harder than the alcohol in the wine was going to hit her. Add to the small fact that Forellens alcohol tolerance was tempered by almost fourteen years of having a glass of wine with her dinner. Even in such small amounts over time one’s tolerance builds up. So she gladly refilled her glass and recorked the bottle and took a sip from her glass before looking around at the crowd. So now she had a fresh glass of wine and Forellen wasn’t sure what she wanted to do with herself right now. She was up and moving so she supposed she could go find someone to dance with. Hopefully said person wasn’t too far into their drinks that they could be tripping over her or falling over. Forellen figured the night was still young so she had a good chance that they weren’t totally hammered just yet. The key was getting some dance time in before they hit that stage. So she could see a lot of them scattered about conversing with each other in groups which would mean she would have to pluck someone from the group. People tended to frown at poaching members of their group but eh they’d get over it eventually. Now all she had to do was decide who she wanted to dance with and pry that person from the group he was in.

Alpha: Not fitting in with the group...Who was she kidding? Molly shifted in the beach chair she had planted herself in and leaned her head back so she was staring at the cloudless sky. She really didn’t belong in this group of people no matter how she tried to fool herself. It was painfully obvious by the way she was sitting and more or less doing nothing while everyone else around her was having grand ole time. Pulling her mind from that rather dreary train of thought Molly focused on the sky. It was amazing how clear the sky was when there was not pollution to cloud the sky and the city lights were far away. Less pollution meant more stars and Molly adjusted the chair she was sitting on so she didn’t get a stiff neck staring up at the sky. It was something to do besides sitting around noticing just how little one fit in with the rest of the group. Molly briefly gave some thought to trying to socialize and didn’t feel like going through the pain and awkwardness of trying to actually insert oneself into a conversation that she wasn’t invited to in the first place. So what was she still doing out here when she either A wasn’t part of the crowd or B didn’t want to be here? Molly honestly didn’t have an answer for that...she was pleasantly sedated at the moment which kept her from having a massive melt down due to being within range of the beach. As long as she didn’t push herself she would be fine. Or was she just using that as an excuse? Using her anxiety as a reason to not socialize or try and be part of the group. Her stomach gave a slight lurch as her mind was drawn back to the rather depressing thought of how much she didn’t really fit in. Sure she could try more but she was, to be quite honest with herself, afraid of trying and getting rejected. She could blame her problems on any number of circumstances in her life but the truth was she just didn’t know how to get around them. A psychologist or a therapist she was not. So that internal reflection killed roughly five minutes which still left Molly sitting watching the uncaring stars and trying to figure out just what she wanted to do now that she was trying to be done with her current line of thought. Something to drink would be nice she supposed. Getting up Molly stretched and jammed her hands into her pockets as she walked over to the table with the refreshments. She helped herself to some punch but stopped short of taking the first drink as an odd aroma hit her nose. She frowned and sniffed at the liquid suspiciously before sighing and shaking her head negatively. Really...were they in high school? Well...she supposed technically some of them should be there. But didn’t people have better things to do then spike the punch? The punch was now out of the picture as Molly had never had a drop of alcohol in her life...one glass of this and she’d be sicker than a dog in the morning. She rooted about the table for a moment and finally found the soda (Or pop depending on your region) and poured herself some rootbeer. One of the Omega’s was at the table helping herself to some wine but Molly didn’t really know her that well, like she knew anyone really well but with that aside, she didn’t make an attempt to talk to her.

Omega: Catalina - Responsibility Comes at a Price As good as she was at playing aloof, it seemed that Jack was better. He continually avoided her gaze, which was good in some sense because it pebbly meant he missed several moments of her green eyes casually sweeping the bonfire crowd to keep track of those that she was most interested in. Casually she sipped her drink, seeing the arrival of a few straggling members, though the most notable was Cissa weaving her way through the crowds. The redhead did not instantly join her, instead sipping the red plastic cup in her hand as she saw the others dancing. Her green eyes watched as the blonde made her way over to Bella, no doubt more out of contempt and an attempt to hurt the Alpha leader even more than the burn mark on her arm, though Kerri said nothing. She made it a point to keep herself out of those kinds of struggles, precisely because she hated being in the middle so much. Her train of thought was interrupted as Wllbur, one of the newer Alphas that she met earlier, approached her. She gave him a gentle smile, downing the rest of her cup's contents as she listened to him introduce himself and then motion to a group of mostly new students. She nodded where appropriate as he made his spiel, the redhead rising to her feet as her eyes moved over the group that wanted to leave to a private party. She sighed slightly seeing that there were a few Omegas amongst them, her eyes turning to the newer team member as she placed one hand on her hip. " Alright Wilbur, let me just explain something to you that might help in the future. Asking if this party is mandatory really depends on who your team leader is and what your motivations are. Now, of course we want to keep the teams together and give them a chance at enjoying some regular time together, but you being an Alpha means that there are certain…liberties you are afforded that don't necessarily apply to Omegas." She had to make sure that her words were chosen carefully, as saying the wrong thing would probably just confuse the newbie that had no idea of the team politics that existed. He would learn, but the least she could do was try to explain it in terms that could be easily understood. She gave him a soft smile before continuing, noticing that Elli stalked off on his own up to the spot he motioned to earlier. " Look, the truth of the matter is that Bella and Cissa are entirely different team leaders. Omegas quickly learn that when Cissa says she expects to see the team somewhere, you show up and stay until you are dismissed. Bella, while obviously wanting the teams to stick together and use some of this time for simple bonding doesn't react as strongly to teenagers being teenagers. I guess all this is a long-winded explanation to say that if you want to go, go, but make sure you don't have a problem owning up to whatever decision you end up making." It probably wasn't the answer he wanted to hear, but she was careful to make sure that she was without blame should they decide to go off against her warning. Unfortunately, she saw Petra take off up the hill as well, the redhead hoping that Cissa would take into account that the girl was new. Excusing herself, the redhead decided that she would go mix herself another drink before hitting the dancing. Everyone else was having a good time, and it was about time that she lightened up a little rather than trying to keep the peace all the time. Finding a bottle of vodka, the redhead mixed the alcohol with cherry 7-Up, taking a swig of the mixture to make sure it wasn't too strong before setting out into the dancing.

Alpha - Reminiscing Eli kept reminiscing about his past and subconsciously started running his finger to the four scars on his chest. That is until Petra broke the silence and he realized he wasn't alone. He sat bolt upright, startled somewhat as he didn't know anyone had followed him up to the location.
He chuckled a bit at her statement. "Yeah, you're right. And a hang over will remind me that I'm still alive in the morning when I can't remember a thing!" He said bursting into a laugh at the end and took the bottle from her, taking another swig he ballooned his cheeks and in a gulp his mouth was empty. In truth. Eli had never been drunk before. Just buzzed before, but never drunk.
He plopped back down on the rock and looked back to the stars listening to Petra's question. "We used to camp here every summer," He said nodding to the campsite down the hill. "and my mother and I were playing one day and I just ran up here, and we stopped to watch the sunset. We ended up bringing our sleeping bags here and then we laid under the stars all night and we woke up to the sun breaking over California. Ever since, we just, came here every summer or vacation we felt we should visit. I used to live in Huntington Beach, two hours that way." He finished, and pointed in the rough direction of Huntington Beach.
After several moments of the story's end, he started getting nostalgic. He sat up and looked to Petra, then over to the ocean.

Omega - Never Thought I would Type This, But Insert "Ferngully" Reference Here
Leading the way for the blind wasn't what he expected but then again with Evie, She wasn't very incapable to begin with. His slow outward breath as he dived helped him make it to the air pocket, by the time his lungs were empty and needed new air he was exactly where he needed to be. He smirked as he controlled his breathing resting abit while they had the air pocket and it's little quantity of oxygen for the moment. " When did I doubt Chica?" was all he breathed out, as he filled his lungs with more air for the next swim. She wouldn't have trouble seeing, much less finding the rest of the way. From what he could tell it was dimly lit, naturally. As eerie as the sight might be to most people who see it for the first time, He wasn't concern. Nature had it's surprises, this is one he is well aware of.
" Alright. Don't worry what you see up ahead. It's harmless. And Not the secret base you hoped for.". His voice had a slight stagger to it. Cold. He was use to low temperatures, or rather being maintained at a constant low. But when anything stacked with his powers, it was less bearable. He had conditioned himself for awhile now. a Year ago, he might have been shivering and turned back to get a warm fire going. He took a three breaths and inhaled the most on the final before diving back down, using his hand along the craggy but surprisingly smooth ceiling, as a guide. A few feet down and he started swimming expecting and feeling Evie follow. He could sense her abundant energy, now more isolated, due to the external lack of heat. He could tell she was putting up far better then him, with the cold.
Slowly breathing out a stream of bubbles every few seconds, It wasn't long before the almost eerie teal glow would be visible. It was about time to surface as he did so he looked behind him to make sure Evie was still moving. She swam up close to him and he continued until they breached the surface. The surprisingly spacious cavern not only had an eerie teal glow to it but had enough subterranean space to count as an underground lake. Water trickled from the ceiling in some spots, but he knew already that it was safe here. In case Evie was still confused the explanation was already in his head. " Algae. A unique kind that glows, kinda rare. Glow worms eat and they learned to do the same. Fish and some crabs eat it now and again, and it keeps growing.".
Not the best lesson given he feels like icy needles are beginning to poke at him. Subconsciously and without thinking, he put an arm about Evie's waist, and drew her close then pulled her towards what passed as a shore. He was slowly climbing out releasing her and crawled a good ten feet inward with another ten feet until the glowing wall. He laid there and curled up keeping warm. He sat up after awhile to see where Evie was as he looked around. There was enough land in the natural cave that it connected to another pool, which was a brighter glow. It had not cave to go through it was likely an isolated pond. Two more and a bunch of landings.
It was bigger then he expected. He rocked back and forth shivering every few seconds, but resisting the urge to take the simple way out and use his whatever hell fire powers he had control of to get himself comfortable. Once the water just dripped and ran off him he'd be okay. It was too much to ask with the confused feelings he felt at the moment to cuddle Evie for some body heat. He had no real problem with it, but his feelings as they were, both suppressed and surfacing, made him reluctant to do so. It wasn't her intent nor his, but this whole time together seemed to just dance on their feelings for each other. He shook the topic from his head and wiped water from his eyes.
" It's not poisonous like some. Not tasteful either. The Grubs are nice fluffy jelly filled morsels though, even raw..." He manage to put a smile on his face as shivered out words more rapidly, getting abit warmer. He began to debate internally now how to get back but was considering Evie's opinion on it. He could teleport them both out, the distance wasn't too drastic to effect either of their minds but it would still be wearily as cold. He'd never teleported Evie, and it was something of her fascination with him that he even considered it. She liked the idea of overcoming the effects of his powers on peoples minds, despite how intently deposed he was to the idea unless you were a dire enemy.

Alpha - Too unhappy for vacation She looked away from Christian, moreso than before… Trying to keep everything inside where it belonged. Her hair remained an effective shield as her arms tightened about herself… She willed the grass to return to its normal state… It was more difficult than normal to feel everything because of the sand. But going up the cliff side were rocks and trees, moss—Things she could identify with. She bit her lower lip and she shook her head. She’d forgotten that he hated heights. He touched her shoulder and she stilled, stopping her feet from edging away… His voice was sad, and that kept her close. “There’s always something wrong with me, isn’t there?”
“Ah’m useless…”, she breathed out, remembering what Narcissa told her the first week or two she’d been on the Alpha’s. She felt…As unwanted as she had then. Why? She had no reason to think such things—Other than her own insecurities. “Ah… Ah don’t know what else to say—“ She paused, feeling her eyes fill with tears again… Born of frustration and confusion. “Actually ah do. Those men were human. You broke them. You were on her side then…Not mine. You were following Narcissa’s lead… Ah get that she’s your leader… But you… Hurt them. Badly…Not just a warning…”, she whispered without looking at him, her fingers curling in the hem of her shirt. “You broke them. Ah heard bones break. Ah heard his chest break Christian…You didn’t have to go that far… She didn’t have to go that far.”Her chin raised, her gray eyes were sad…Perplexed, and upset. Piercing, swirling with a certain edge of perceptiveness that was unnerving. “Ah can’t be what you are… Ah can’t be what she is. Ah can’t do things like that… Ah don’t want to hurt anyone…”She looked away again, swallowing the lump in her throat—refusing to sniffle as she wiped at her eyes with the back of her hand. It seemed that once she started talking, she just couldn’t keep the words from tumbling out like a waterfall. “Ah’m just not good at this… Ah don’t know how to be. Ah don’t understand you anymore Christian Spencer… Not since you’ve been an Omega. Call me crazy… But Ah don’t understand myself anymore either.”, she trailed off, her creole accent thicker than usual because of her disturbed state. Her body turned entirely away from him then, shoulder pulling from his grasp gently as her thin shoulders hunched… She desperately didn’t want to cry anymore.

Alpha: Chills
For an adrenaline junkie, there wasn't much in the world she hadn't done yet. Everything was something she wanted to do and anytime she got a chance she did everything. Water adventures, though, was not on that list aside from jumping in the Xavier pool from the roof... the ponds from the barn roof.... mastering the sport of swimming in general....
She didn't say much as they swam into the non-secret base of a cave. Words distracted her focus. Her eyes took in everything it could. When Carlos mentioned the unique properties of the algea, she kept her hands back not wanting to touch it despite wanting to. Despite criticism of her lack of respect for her own life (which really is a moot argument with a healer), she respected the world and life around her. It fascinated her. She got as close as she could at one point to some of the algea to really see it. When Carlos put his arm around her waist to move her towards the shore, she just went along with it. This was all something to remember.
Stop wanting to kiss him again. You both are already messed up enough from relationships gone bad. She told herself wanting to not listen to her inner voice every time his hands wound up on her skin. Everybody had a distinctive scent and sound to her along with a distinctive touch. And something about his added to the latent feelings she has always had shot right to her brain. Adrenaline rush.
The temperature didn't phase her much. Her adaptive part of her mutation let her naturally auto-adjust herself to situations for survival. As she mastered her power, getting used to temperatures just fell along with it. She was sure there was some science behind it but she didn't care what it was. What she did care about was that she caught a shiver in the voice of Carlos that snapped her out of her awe of the cave. Not everybody had her abilities and this she knew too well.
She put a hand on his and said definitively, "Teleport us back it will be quicker. I don't need you freezing to death."
"And don't argue with me. I'm too stubborn."
The playfulness to her voice was gone in that statement and laced more with concern. Even Evie knew there was a time for play and a time to be smart. Maybe smart wasn't the best description for it. Carlos' power was going to give her a major hangover of darkness. But she had always wanted to overcome it. Especially after her visions of her evil self Derrik had given her years back. Evie prided herself on having a strong mental control, lack of fear, and lack of darkness in her soul. She never quite understood Carlos' power and this was one way for her to see it first hand.... in her mind at least. But, of course, she was an adrenaline junkie.

⌠Ω+M+ε+G+α⌡- Drnk. . .what was I . . .wait what? By this time it seemed Leion was being passed around to everyone that walked past. He hadn't drank anything else, but he felt dizzier and more light-headed than before. Thoughts were flying around his head that he wouldn't even entertain if he were sober, he was seeing those around him differently like he hadn't met them before, or . . . something like that. He wasn't even sure who was talking or who was holding him now. All he knew was that Jacen looked extremely attractive and he had to kiss him, or at least try to. When Jacen patted his head he decided to go for it and the consequences be damned. Gaining an unprecedented amount of agility and control for a drunk person, Leion gave Jacen a swift alcohol flavored kiss that went no deeper than the lips shortly before collapsing to the ground passed out. It would seem that the amount of alcohol he had previously consumed had finally gotten the better of him and made him commit a party foul. Anyone who passes out with their shoes on is free game. . .

ALPHA Woah!
Wilbur just stared at Kerri as she gave him the lowdown on the way things worked amongst the teams.
"Oh," was all Wilbur could manage to say. He wasn't expecting so much information for such a simple question. Now he was convinced he got placed on the good team. So far, he's only seen party poopery from the Omegas. He returned to the group, noticing that Eli and Petra had disappeared. He shrugged.
"Yeah, so basically, the Alphas can go. The Omegas had better stay put if they know what's good for them. Personally, if I were an Omega, I'd stay. Narcissa sounds pretty bat s**t crazy to me." Again, he shrugged and grabbed a beer and drank the whole thing in a few gulps. Beer wasn't exactly the most elegant drink, but who cares? At the sight of what happened next, Wilbur promptly set down the new bottle he had in his hand. Leion falling into Jacen and kissing him had to have been the highlight of his day, or anyone's. He hid his blush in a laugh and turned around to grab his drink. Passed out drunk, Leion looked like he could use a hand.
"Back to work, I suppose." He slung Leion over his shoulder as he had been for most of the bonfire. It was definitely time to get on with the show and move the locale. "Hehe. Well...That was...um...super." He laughed lightly. "I think that's our cue to move.Should we go up to the top?" He looked toward Jacen, if only to see his expression. Wilbur's spirits were back up. He remembered why being sober around drunk people was so fun. They did the most amazing things. His spirits were renewed and he wanted to drink. Or dance. Anything.

Catalina beach - Crappy situation Okay, Eli had a way about his speaking that left much to be desired. Something...that Shandra seemed to miss a lot at the moment. Logic. Not only did she just get called cute...but there was something about being targeted for being mutants in there? And freedom stripping...and drinking not to get drunk.
Who's bright idea was it to give these people alcohol?
Shandra closed her eyes for a moment, feeling a smaller headache coming into play. That would be just what everyone needed...her having a headache and being on edge. She was pretty sure that Narcissa wouldn't fault her for some alpha's going missing...but Bella was another story. Besides...that wouldn't be very nice of her...but if that headache got any worse. Lets just say she couldn't exactly take over the counter drugs.
However, it seemed that by the time that she opened her glowing green eyes (they were so easy to see in the dark, even with the fire) Eli had already zoomed out. It definitely seemed like he didn't actually want to wait for anyone, and apparently Petra wanted to keep him company despite the fact that he was the first to walk away.
Jacen however, didn't seem to see anything foolish in what was happening. Wait...what did he just call her? With all the diversity at the Academy, having random language thrown into conversation wasn't unusual. Actually, she'd been handed a lot of names and titles in different languages - most of them by Antonio though...She just didn't think that Jacen's was supposed to be a real nickname like "Red".
At least Hoshi was being the voice of reason...sorta. At least she was going to actually go ask if they needed to stay there. Not like Shandra was actually going to go with them...but still. Wait...did he seriously just bring up Bison... as he patted Leion's head? As Shandra shook her head she felt herself being forced forward a little. She caught herself quickly, only moving because the sand actually messed with a lot of footworkings. She should probably practice in sand environments after this...
The redhead turned around just as Maddy seemed to start to spaz out and apologized.
"Umm...you can try finding some bottles of water?" Shandra offered up as she lightly moved Leion from where he had seemed to make himself comfortable against her shoulder.
Almost as soon as she did that, however, Leion seemed to gain mobility back and ended up kissing Jacen. That...was a pause in her movement at that. It was...weird to say the least. Awkward almost. Jacen and Leion didn't exactly strike her as a couple that would hit it off like that. Then again...Antonio had been with both Derrik and Lark...both of which hadn't worked out. Neither had Siona apparently - she somehow still felt guilty over the fact that Antonio kept coming out to be touchy-feeling-hang-out person despite the fact that he had been dating Siona.
So who was she to judge about what relationships would or wouldn't work at this point?
Shandra's hand reached out as she noticed Leion fainting towards the ground. Her powers cushioned the blow, but he still landed on the ground, completely passed out and ready for some one to pick on him. Which was exactly why she hadn't want him to go with the others to begin with. Leion really was much too easy of a target.
However, when Wilbur moved towards them...Shandra hadn't exactly expected him to pick Leion up and sling him over his shoulder. What the---
What kind of a person picks up an unconscious body to take off to another party that was bound to be more trouble anyways? Shandra simply didn't say anything as she reached out and grabbed at Leion's ankle. The wrist was too easy to slip up and besides the foot was closer. With almost a hard yank, though she was planning to cushion him if he did end up falling, Shandra pulled Leion away from Wilbur. She didn't know the person, she knew that her friend was unconscious, and she definitely didn't want that unconscious person to go with someone they didn't know who didn't have enough common sense to leave the unconscious people where it was safe.
"You can go if you want," Shandra said, her voice almost a whisper. "But you're leaving Leion here...a mountain trek is no place for a passed out drunk person...especially considering the circumstances."
And that she didn't want to see him get in trouble from Narcissa if he left. Yeah...she was definitely not letting go of his ankle...

Omega - Beach - Place Your Bets, People, Place Your Bets "Well that was hot," Maddy said dryly as she watched Leion drop to the sand. "I always come at the best time during these sorts of things... Like every Anatomy class I had freshman year..." The girl shuddered with the memory. She grabbed one of the water bottles Shandra had pointed out and tried to open. It took a few tries, but she got it open with the help of her handy-dandy shirt. Hell, who's idea was it to bring the X-Men to this party. Alcohol, women and fire abounding. If that didn't sound like the worst cocktail possible, she didn't know what did. If somebody didn't go out with poisoning, burns, or sand in a very large stab wound [which may or may not have been made by her] she would be amazed. Anyway, this would delay her return to Vallon... She didn't know what it was, but she just wanted to stay away for a bit... Oh, and look at that! A brilliant plan by this new Alpha [ Wilbur]. Honestly, she didn't know the names of quite a few Alphas. She just... didn't care all that much. Probably because they were prone to ideas like this. At least Shandra had some sense. Maddy pointed her water bottle at the Alpha, it's cap in her other hand. "Gotta agree with her," she said indicating the red head. "From the looks of ya, you wouldn't make it all that far, even on your own." The boy had obviously been another one of the drinkers. "I'd bet you'd make it about a forth of the way up, then drop. It'd be kinda funny to see what these beach bums would do to you, though." Hell, when did Maddy become so blunt? "Oh! Or we could make it a bet! Like, we let you go, follow behind you, and see which happens fist: you pass out, or Lucania does her thing." Lucania was apparently the name Maddy was trying out for Narcissa. she'd been thinking about those kinds of people that you just refer to by last name... It amused her, slightly. "I'll take twenty bucks on death by blond, what about you pissas?" Tucking the now capped water bottle under her arm, She walked around the not so stable Wilbur and tried to lift Leion up by his not so light shoulder.

Omega: Vodka Swigging
She nodded listening and understanding. But the names didn't mean much to her. In a small way, she was envious of the whole family situation. She took a swig of the vodka, swished it in her mouth and swallowed it. Smirking she said in her broken language, "Your memories nice. Mine not so much."
Her life was her life. She had never been one to share it with people. It wasn't pretty and wasn't something to be proud of. Swirling the bottle contents more she looked at Eli and then out to the water. It really was gorgeous.
"Never been to beach like this as kid. Only when in France working. My parents... eh, what do say... worked for bad people. Glad I am here, but not like the rules so much on team."
She put her fingers on the metal tray and melded it to her arm. She was itching to user her power since it had been awhile. Since there was nobody but mutants in this general area she didn't think it would be an issue. Curious to spoke as she molded the metal into a sphere in her hand, "Who's will is stronger on sphere? The one who control magnet or one who control metal?"
She could feel the metal bonded to her skin at the point it met. The metal wasn't separate from her: it became one with her like a second skin. It felt natural like the way nature intended things to be. Flattening the sphere into her hand she continued to change it's shape at her whims while watching him. She thought he was adorable now that he wasn't playing children games.

Alpha: Trying to be helpfulAlek looked up just as Leion had locked his lips with Jacen. at first Alek was a lil confused wonder where the joke was, thinking that it was them making some kind of mockery of him. But as he watched he saw Jacen's reactions. It was not one of a welcoming, joking or not. Then many things dawned on him. He stared at Leion with a look of understanding and pity. He thought about getting up and helping Leion get down to his room, and trying to help sober him up; but with how everyone viewed him and with what just happened he figured someone would assume the worse and then Alek wouldn't get to go alone, and Alek just wanted to talk with someone who would at least partially understand him. If Alek was correct that could Leion. He saw Eli and Petra lost in their own conversation, Shandra had taken Leion from Wilbur, but she didn't seem to be carrying him off with her. Alek had lost track of the others that had attended their little party. Alek got to his feet. Poured the rest of his drink onto the ground and approached Shandra with the slumbering Leion. "Uh... I think maybe it would be best to get him to a bed. Maybe try and wake him, get him to eat some chips, bread... crackers... anything to absorb some of that alcohol. And water... otherwise he will feel as though he hit a brick wall going 95mph when he wakes in the morning." Alek looked to Shandra and he got down to pick up Leion. He scooped him up and cradle him in his arms. Alek was stronger than he looked. He remembered the last time he was carrying someone like this... it was when all his troubles had started. "No funny business." Alek spoke softly to her. "You can come if you want... I understand if you dont trust me." He started to walk but then spoke out once more. "Im sober... don't worry. I barely drank half my drink there... I dont have a low tolerance." He tried to chuckle a little but wasn't sure how it came out. "Besides... I should leave anyway. If Bella catches me up here, everyone's going to get in trouble..."

Alpha - I bet your dad didn't try to kill you Eli scoffed slightly at Petra's comment about nice memories. He didn't follow up with a statement or anything, but just listened to what she had to say. He was kinda bummed a bit, and did his best to not show it, thinking about his father's attempt to kill him, and his mom dying in the process by charging his father after she had shot him multiple times.
He continued to listen to what she said, even as she offered the challenge. Before he answered he took the bottle and downed the rest of it, there was only about an 1/8 left of it. "You'd win, your power is directly related to the manipulation of metal. Mine is the manipulation of magnetism, not quite as strong as direct influence. On top of that, I'm not all that great with my skills; I'm on the lower end of skill strength of the team."
He sat back up again, a knot forming over the thoughts of the night that changed his life. The night his abilities manifested.
