Personality
Xan is smart, but his thoughts are mainly focused on food. His life is governed by thoughts of his next kill and how much energy he has left before he needs to recharge. Due to his large build and the large quantities of muscle he has, he needs to make sure he has enough energy to make it to his next meal. He does not ingest vegetation at all, and rarely consumes water so he needs to eat a certain amount of meat to survive. This means that Xanti's temper is largely dictated by his stomach and may change abruptly. He may go from calm, to hungry and raging in a matter of minutes, if he uses most of his energy up.
Since he has so much practice over the years, Xan is an excellent hunter. He is very focused and calculating when it comes to the hunt. He can predict the easiest route to his prey in order to make a kill, and can even figure out routes for more than one creature at a time. Once caught, he will immediately kill his prey and eat it. He doesn't toy with his victims since it is not in his nature to be unnecessarily cruel.
Xanti's attitude towards other soquili changes depending on the time and place. If there's meat about, he'll definitely feel protective over it or want to steal it, since it directly relates to his well-being...but if he's just eaten and feeling bloated, he may not even bother caring about the other soquili's presence at all (or he may even strike up a conversation with them). Most likely Xanti will test a soquili he hasn't encountered before by mock attacking them. If they prove fearsome (such as kalona's or skinwalkers) he may take advantage of their prowess and invite them out to catch some lunch, but if they quiver in fear he may mistake them for lunch instead.
Xanti has formed an attachment (not quite love but the closest to affection as he gets) to Drith, the manipulative Usdia mare. And although he knows that she is using him for her own devices he has no qualms about staying by her side at the moment... and with her comes Anomaly, her son. Although jealous of the basket at first, Xanti soon forms a somewhat fatherly attachment with the little stallion as he grows up. Xanti ends up protecting the foal from his mother's continual wrath and a gentler side of Xanti slowly begins to reveal itself. Not quite so vicious, he sometimes displays a softer nature when he's around the little usdia...unless there's meat about. Then there's still no stopping him.

Quirks
Xan doesn't require that much water. Much like a camel, Xan will drink a large amount at once then go without for a long time, usually around a month to a month and a half. The time in between decreases when it is hot out.
Xan's feet are molten fire, and they hurt when wet. He can set stuff on fire if he flares them enough. He has to concentrate on the thought that the fire is leaving his feet, so it is not something that can happen without his assent/knowledge.
Xan has sharp pointy carnivorous teeth, not flat teeth. He also can't digest plant-life.
Xan had predator-like eyesight in the dark; However, he rarely uses it, since he is not nocturnal.
Xan is still a hound. He likes to chase cats and anything that sparks his prey drive.
Relationships
With Drith:
Affectionate. He cares about this spunky little mare and lets her get away with bossing him around.
With Anomaly:
Fatherly. He stands up for the little guy and has a bit of a soft spot for him.
With Whisk:
Disinterested. He rarely bothers with her. He can't stand her continual chatter and tries to stay away from her (since he's not allowed to eat her).
With Sloane:
Confused and tentative friendliness. He doesn't know whether he likes this drug addicted usdia or not. At times he finds Sloane amusing at other points he just doesn't know what to think.
With Malice:
Jealousy, respect, and hesitant acceptance. For the most part he tries to ignore Malice but at the same time he can't help but hate him and respect him at the same time.
With Meowth:
Indifference. He thinks of Meowth as a cat and can't help feeling the need to chase him off. Since he can't do that, he has chosen to ignore him.
With Vesia:
Annoyance. He gets annoyed at the tricks Vesia and his brother always seem to be playing.
With Kezia:
Annoyance. He gets annoyed at the tricks Kezia and his brother always seem to be playing.
With Mordecai:
Friendliness. He likes this punky lil usdia and enjoys his attitude. He doesn't mind hanging out with the goat.
With Mero: Friendly. He likes the spunk that Mero has and her strong personality. He is content about her relationship with Anomaly because she is able to protect him.
