Ling Yun came over to Kawani lands from over the great sea along with many other quilin and full-sized kirin. He wandered the Kawani lands for a long time, learning the customs of the people and their unique relationship to the soquili of the new world. When he came across Tavee's remote teepee on the edge of the forest by the river he was intrigued by the medicine woman's ministry of healing and spiritual renewal with the assistance of the former carousel unicorn stallion, Araval.
He has settled into a small clearing in the forest, not far from the medicine woman's teepee. Tavee and her family built a small stone shelter there for his comfort in inclement weather. He has created a tiny haven of peace around the shelter, establishing many meditative swirls cutting through the grass and bordered with small polished stones from the river.
