Well, that was a bit better of a topic. A nice change. He was ready to oblige, since it was obvious his curt response had made Pixie more than a tad uncomfortable. "Urban ruins, mostly. I don't like normal cities... everything feels foreign. But there's a lot of abandoned and partially destroyed cities thanks to the war eighty years ago, so I like to poke around those now and then. They're not everywhere, but they're frequent enough that I can find them now and then. They're much more interesting than normal forests and such. Though, I'll explore anywhere interesting, it's just that ruins like this one are always interesting." It was a good way to pass the time and there was always something unique or different about each one.

The Persian got up to his feet and took a few steps forward and past Pixie. "Anyways, you said earlier that you were looking for something. Is it something I can help you with?" It was, to Cedric, just another way to kill time but there wasn't anything wrong with that.

((Sorry this post took so long... sleepy sleepy~))

Well this Persian does appear to be trustworthy, and a she was planning on asking in the first place.....

"I don't know if you'd be able to, but anything at all would be very helpful."

How long has it been since she willingly talked to a pokemon other than Frankie about this?

"You see, when I was pretty little, about the time a lot of us start making memories, and school, my mom disappeared. I actually do remember her, though my family pretends I don't. I'm almost positive the reason isn't because she died, though she may have in the mean time, and I know my family thinks the same thing because there never was a funeral. This was pretty much the reason I joined the guild was to find out what happened to her."

"You mom, huh?" That was... quite the thing to be searching for. Definitely, it was a good reason to ask for help if there ever was one. Cedric didn't quite see why she was here of all places, though. Abandoned ruins weren't the best place to gather information.

Though, that really only gave one possibility. The Persian lightly scratched the wall with one of his claws before looking back at Pixie. "Do you think she used to be here?" As far as he could tell there's no other reason she would be searching here.

The Vulpix shuffles her front feet a little bit, and looks at the ground. It's quite obvious that she doesn't know much about searching for anybody.

"I know this sounds stupid but.... uh.... I'm not sure at all... though I think I heard once that she had an interest in history, but I may be wrong... soo yea...."

The ruins had just seemed like a good first place too look when she decided to look for a few clues.

She felt so stupid and young right now. Maybe she was in over her head.

But there's no turning back now, is there?

"Well... I don't think she's here then. I'd be surprised if she ever was." Cedric looked around himself. At the walls, the floor, the ceiling... just about everything, as if he were going over what he knew. "This place isn't that old but I it was probably abandoned before either of us were born. And from what I found there's definitely no one living here... at least anywhere I've looked."

Cedric wasn't sure exactly how old they were, but it was still recent history. But it was still old enough that she definitely hadn't stayed here, at least not when it was still in operation. "If you're interested in history, you might want to look into the war that happened fifty-some years ago... a lot of things happened during that time, it's possible your mother researched it." It was the best thing he could think of, anyways.

She looks back up at him sheepishly and attempts to smile.

"Well thanks anyway, I'll look into that. But well since we're on that topic, if you don't mind, what can you tell me about the war?"

A war huh? She'd heard a few things about it, like it involved the guilds and such, but had never looked into it in its entirety. When others talked about it, she never bothered to listen. She was usually doing something with Frankie.

But since mom might've looked into it, that gave it a new meaning.

"Hmm..." The war, huh? What all did he know about the war...? Not much, it wasn't like he had ever researched it. But his uncle had told him once. "I don't know much, but... it was about fifty years ago. The founder of the Guild of the Sun led a small army against Darkrai. He had sealed Kyogre, causing the lands to dry up. There wasn't much water, which led to fighting and Darkrai had pokemon on his side... but the founder of the Guild was an Espeon named Orion. He climbed the Tower of Origins to where Arceus resides and demanded power. He used that power to kill Darkrai." The way he told it suggested that he was less than certain about what he was saying. He knew the basics, just not everything.

Let's see, let's see... was there anything else? "That's about all I know, I'm afraid. There's lots written on it though, I'm sure."

"Well I guess that's why they invented libraries huh?" She laughs hard and almost loses her balance.

Well that was cheesy. But oh well. Too late now.

"But thanks, I think you may be right I'll look into it later. I know this is random, but I'm enoying talking to you."

It's kinda funny how sometimes you can have good time with someone you just met.

Cedric let out a bit of a nervous chuckle. The little Vulpix's laughter was certainly boisterous. She was laughing an awful lot at... well, nothing. He hadn't really made a joke or anything, it just kind of came out of nowhere. It was hard for him to play off the discomfort gracefully... the nervous chuckle was the best he could do.

He was glad when she said something else; it was a welcome change of topic. "It's certainly been much more interesting than walking about on my own."

Oh. Well. When Cedric just chuckled nervously, she remembered that not everyone has the same sense of humor as she does. So her laughter at her own comment was lost on him.... Great... She just made it akward.

Way to go Pixie.

But anyways...

"Glad to make your day a little more interesting."

Then she chuckles a little nervously herself because she doesn't know where to go with the conversation without apologizing for making the conversation akward. Which would make it even more akward. Or she could be random and go back to talking about exploring... but that wouldn't work that well either....

Cedric silently glanced around for a moment. There really wasn't much more to talk about and he still had a fair bit of ground to cover. He wasn't hungry yet, but unless he felt like heading back to the city he would need to find something to eat and somewhere to sleep the night soon. He'd been hit with hunger enough times to know better than waiting until the last moment to begin searching for food. "Well then, I still have some exploring to do." Cedric slipped out the other end of the Garchomp-shaped hole before turning around slightly. "Maybe we'll see each other in the city sometime."

That was his way of saying "good bye", basically.

"Bye! Have a good time exploring, I hope you find something interesting."

She looked over at the Persian for a secound as he slipped through the hole. He's quite interesting. It would be nice to see him again sometime. Hopefully she wouldn't be as akward next time. I like him. We could be friends.

It's probably time to head back to the guild though. Frankie's probably woken up and is probably a little worried. She knows that even though he is younger than her, he feels respnsible for her safekeeping. It must be a brother like thing or something.

The Vulpix stands up, orients herself, and heads back towards the guild feeling a little bit better about the task at hand, and about meeting a new friend. Hopefully.

Raith

The shark-like reptile was draped across a rock, his long tail hung off the side while his neck was turned inward to keep his head from doing the same, both winged arms were folded over one another under said head to make a more comfortable perch than the stone beneath him.
The world was ending, chaos had erupted everywhere, Pokemon were dropping like flies...and Raith still found time to take a nap.
His finned tail whipped from side to side, brushing twisted lines in the dirt his boulder was perched upon. Had it not been for the motion he could have easily blended into stoned structures around him. Though, it didn't matter. Nothing dared to take on a Garchomp, let alone one of his size and stature.
Bragging wasn't really his thing, but Raith could handle whatever life dished out. Give or take.
'Except this. This I can't...' The dark type though, eyes closing briefly before snapping open once again. His head lifted and he glanced around in mild confusion.
The strangest of feelings had passed over him, it was that mingling suspicion he was being watch combined with the thought that whoever it was couldn't be placed as friend or foe. He never liked not knowing. It was one of the few things to quickly drive him into anger.
After a moment the feeling passed and hesitantly the Garchomp laid his head back down, though now his guard was up and his sense alert.

Alice

A loud shrill that often herald one of two psychics left a bright eyed Kirlia to tiptoe in the Ruins with a common cheery expression. She went to a lot of places she couldn’t have before, being as handicapped a psychic as she was but this place was different from her normal spots that were either pretty or within society; which urged her to go here to begin with.
Alice didn’t know what this place was, or what could have possibly been lurking about though the latter was left to her psychic, leaving her rather worry free. She continued about her way in silence as her attention soon turned to the sun above, making her eyes squint before promptly turning back down ahead of her in a blur. There was probably nothing to worry about in such daylight. At least, she assumed as much. A startled blink left Alice to come to a halt instinctively and look about and listen. No, someone was here. Though why she detected nothing till now was beyond her. The Kirlia’s eyes adjusted and her attention came still, resting on a dark, large creature some ways off. It was oddly familiar and Alice teetered in thought. Who was it? Curiosity had her taking a number of steps forward in order to get a clearer view, and part of her regret it. Oh god it was huge. Her expression that darkened considerably brightened into a sort of mild surprise after only a moment. She did know who this was, that was the Garchomp that helped them from before. Alice relaxed, for the most part. He helped them; he couldn’t have been bad, right? She held her breath as she took a few more silent steps toward Raith before coming to a total halt, not far, but not close for the sake of caution. If he were to jump at her, she was ready to teleport on instinct.

“Hello there,” Alice smiled, finally taking a breath. “You… helped us before right? In that forest? My name’s Alice, I wanted to thank you.” The Kirlia bobbed slightly, cuffing her hands together idly as she stared at him in mild interest. “… Sorry if I’m interrupting.” Her expression turned blank again and her words were quick, realizing she hadn’t said such to begin with.

Raith

There was a sound that could scare one witless, that is to say anyone other than Raith. At the piercing shriek the Garchomp's only response was to closed his eyes in annoyance until the sound had faded into a low hum in his head.
He thought he'd sensed something, a lot of Pokemon that knew teleport did not know how to use it properly and the resulting explosion of psychic energy tended to make an awful ruckus.
His head lifted once again, though this time in a much more lazy manner. Blinking slowly to bring the tiny creature into focus, Raith was only slightly surprised by the miniature Psychic's appearance.
He had, to be honest, been expecting someone else. Most likely a guild official coming to inform him the guild was on fire or something horrid like that. These guilds just refused to stay safe for long periods of time, didn't they? It was aggravating, but made for a good work out when things got a bit violent. Things generally got violent quite frequently when Raith was involved.
Continuing his silent stare of the Kirlia he appearance sparked a familiarity in him to another Gardevoir he knew, though just barely.
Aire's little..friend...coworked...whatever he was. More like a pe really, though what did Raith care.
The Garchomp pushed his upper body up off the rock and in one serpent-like motion had slid off it onto the ground to better view the tiny creature.
"That I am, little miss." The land shark replied with a toothy smile and amusement in his eyes. It was often such a delicate-looking and bite-sized Pokemon dared approached him. It was a welcome relief from the running...and the screaming..and the 'ohgodhe'sgonnakillus' and the only reason he ever did kill was just to stop the running...and the screaming. It was a vicious cycle.
"You're most welcome and no, no worries, there's nothing to interupt. Just a nap I probably shouldn't be taking to begin with."Which was true, he could be doing something much more productive but...eh...he didn't want to and not many Pokemon could literally MAKE him do anything. So he got away with being lazy quite often.
