Spent my days with a woman unkind,
Smoked my stuff and drank all my wine.
Made up my mind to make a new start,
Going to california with an aching in my heart.
Up against the dragon, the servant became stronger than she acted.
"There are no wounds, she's fine!" The elf shook his head. James rushed, in a mad dash, towards the ledge to help Remus.Someone told me theres a girl out there

Hrothbert was racing to help Remus just as James was, but it was the elf who got there first. One hand remained over his pocket, the mouse within still peacefully unconscious.
Emma had the dragon pinned again, grimacing inwardly as it took another chunk out of her scaly hide.

Evros called to Chris, asking her to bring 'Catherine' over. They didn't need to defeat the dragon, it would be better to make a mad dash for the fountain.
The servant Faun was holding it off almost as well as Emma was, which surprised James quite a bit - was there something inherent in her DNA which gave her proficiency with that sword? Whatever it was, perhaps now wasn't the best time to ponder it. After he and the sorcerer helped Imperator Fletcher, he led them back to the fountain.
"Quickly, now. Evros?" He called.
Yes, he saw, the other doctor was coming, helping the two human girls along. Now there was just Emma who they needed.Someone told me theres a girl out there

Emma's dragon form slumped to the ground, bleeding heavily even as it faded away, violet scales turning into sparks as Emma's consciousness abandoned the projection.
The mouse in Hrothbert's pocket moved as Emma's spirit returned to her body, opening its eyes and poking its head out even as the sorcerer moved quickly towards the fountain.

Chris ran with everyone toward the fountain carrying 'Catherine' in her arms,
Worry in her eyes as she ran madly toward the fountain.

Remus' head was spinning. He managed to grab Perseverance again as he was helped away and warning lights were going off in Remus' field of vision. The dragon had practically mutilated him. The black viscous fluids that passed for blood in Remus' human shells was dripping out from several wounds which revealed his inner workings. He tried to remain conscious, at least until they reached the fountain. When his body entered the water, Remus let himself black out.

James was last this time, just before he entered into the fountain, he saw the servant strike the killing blow, but not without great sacrifice. The beast fell onto her, and while everyone else had already gone through, the elf instinctively rushed to where the creature had fallen.
"No...," he just said, trying to push the gargantuan dragon off of her. It was no use, he just wasn't strong enough... a bit of magic helped him in that regard, but it wasn't any use. The Faun had been robbed of her life by the time he managed to move the beast.
The security system had picked up on the dragon's death, and opened. James was nearly flooded by a crowd of people who came to see what had happened. Among them, an old servant, who he had seen before in the kitchen as the 'Jason' that this version Kaok had been addressing before seeing them. James tried not to let a few tears escape when the servant began to mourn her.
'Not your Kaok. Not your friend.'
He consoled the man briefly, before leaving back through the fountain. When he arrived on the other side, he looked dazed still, not quite aware of his surroundings anymore.Someone told me theres a girl out there

The nobles were already through the fountain before the Faun fell, having a situation of their own. Emma's current mouse-shape was flickering and fading like an image on mist. The sorcerer cupped her in the palm of his hand, his fingertips alight with silver-blue as he worked on her. The loss of blood she had suffered with her projection had translated to a loss of spiritual being in her physical form. Fortunately, Hrothbert managed to stabilize Emma, finding an open space and laying her gently on the ground as he began a second spell to change her back.

Remus left his shell shortly after his body and Perseverance were dumped on the floor of the lab. A few seconds went by and his body began to make sizzling noises and the flesh bubbled. Not long after that, the flesh ignited and in a quick bright flash, Remus' shell disintegrated. Of course he wasn't gone. He would return shortly with a healthy new shell.

At first Chris was alarmed at the bubbling Remus shell,
Then she remembered and let out a sigh of relief.
She walked over to James and took his arm.
"You look dazed..Are you feeling alright?"

Regardless of Remus' ability to come back, he had to avert his eyes. Seeing one best friend and another... acquaintance die in one day, however permanent either circumstance was, was far too much. Catherine, as she had pretty much resigned to call herself, had just woken up from her unconscious state, and unaware of the existence ResTech, had nearly passed out again.
"He just-! He-!"
James attempted briefly to placate her and explain, but it would take some time for her to calm down, especially when she had just been so disoriented.
"I'm fine, hun, thanks." He muttered, with a weak attempt at a smile.
((So, at this point, we can either play through the space-ship encounter, skip it and I could tell you what went down there, or just say the group skipped it altogether... with their apparent fear of the dark room, the second one might make more sense.))Someone told me theres a girl out there

It wasn't long before before a large, golden automaton resembling an ancient Roman centurion entered the lab. Remus picked up Perseverance by the ashy remains of his former self and slung it over his back.
"I think I'm going to stick to a body that's more resilient for the remainder of this fiasco." he stated. His voice was also different in this shell and had a more machine like drone.
((I'd like to play through the space ship encounter, but I'm willing to have it filled in as well.))

"I'm sure." James reached into his pocket and removed an old protein bar. "Er... I don't have much."
Evros stood by the Window, reconfiguring it.
"Where are we trying next?" He asked the group.
James, automatically called out 'spaceship', not free of the sense of foreboding that the dark room gave the others.
The other doctor raised his brows, but didn't question the elf. "If the rest of you agree...?"
((Just write them all going in and I'll write out what happens in this encounter.
