Takara just watched, quietly.

"Hows about I raise the offer?" Branstead said slickly. "How does four-thousand gold sound?" "The fact that you have that much disposable income is just another reason I'm not selling it to you!" Prospekt said slipping out of his arms.

Takara watched Branstead, getting more tense as Prospekt seemed to get more flustered. She was on edge.

"Alright alright." Branstead said quickly. "How about, you can be manager for that plot?" Prospekt glared at Branstead, and in an unusual fit of anger shouted, "Branstead! This farm has been in my family since before I was born! If you wanted it, then you should have bought it while I was stationed in the north! I'm not going to sell it to you!"

Takara was looking around for anything she could use. This man was a problem and he had to go. She grabbed a solid piece of wood and ran at Branstead to hit him over the head with it.

Prospekt calmed down from his outburst, and sighed to clear his head. He raised his eyes to find Takara running at Branstead. "Branstead look out!" He yelled, pushing him to the side. He drew his sword quickly, demonstrating his military training, but not quick enough to parry.

Takara had very good reaction time, so she was able to deflect the wood away from Prospekt when he suddenly pushed Branstead out of the way. She dropped it and looked confused.

Prospekt fully braced himself for the collision. He clenched his teeth and face, closing his eyes tight. When the red flash did not come, he opened his eyes slowly. "T-Takara..." he said quietly.

Takara just stood there, like a deer in the headlights. She didn't know why he had done that.

Prospekt shook off his brace, and grabbed Takara's wrist. He began pulling her towards the farm as gently as possible while still asserting his will to leave the town itself.

Takara now looked a little afraid. She had a feeling she had done something wrong and she was going to be punished, but she didn't know what or why.

"Please don't struggle Takara." Prospekt said softly, not showing any emotions other than a possible form of pity. He continued to pull on her wrist.

Prospekt was glad that Takara did not try to struggle. They had brought enough attention to themselves already. He pulled her down the road and towards the farm.

Takara stared down at the ground as a few tears escaped her eyes. She didn't say anything as they went along.
