Angel nodded, finished up the bag Kali had started packing for him, and zipped it shut, ready to go, "let's go then..." he extended his hand to take hers and lead her down the hallway and out the doors to freedom.

 Kayla took his hand and with a deep breath she followed him outside. She paused to look around and let her eyes adjust, and all she wanted to do was cry. She hadn't seen the sky in so long, she hadn't seen the clouds or the sun, and the warmth of the sun was amazing against her skin. "Angel" she breathed. Her tone was ergent as if she had just found something new.

The gentle breeze of nature's air flowing around them was enough to lightly toss his hair in a more fashionable manner. It was like a heavy weight was lifted, just standing outside in the sunlight, "yes?" he replied as he peered over at her, the sun light reflecting so shiny on his sleep black colored hair.

Kayla was struck speechless as stared at him. He looked so beautiful in the sunlight. He seemed to glow. Her eyes brimed with tears and she just shook her head.
"Never mind"
"She looked around at the trees that blew in the soft wind. She closed her eyes and sighed laughing as the wind played with her own hair. It felt odd but not unpleasent. She opened her eyes and looked up at the sky. This is what she looked at the longest. The pretty clouds and clear blue. The birds that flew by, and the shapes she made in the sky.
She just wanted to stand here all day and stare up at the sky.

The boy lightly squeezed her hand and smiled, "we should get going... standing in a parking lot isn't the safest place to stare up at the sky for hours..." Granted, he wanted to do it as well, but that was better suited for the large field in back of Kali's house.

] Kayla was slightly startled as he took her hand. She looked down at him distracted by how beautiful he looked in the sun. He said they should get going and she nodded.
"Okay then" she murmered looking around one last time..
