Naomi "Sometimes the idea of love should just leave me alone." Naomi sniffled and rested her head against Vincent, wrapping her arms around him. It was soothing to listen to him this way. His voice resounding there. She did not cry when he said it was okay to do so. She was still refusing to listen to him. The hair strokes were not helping that though. She nuzzled into him but his last joke made her sit up.
"Now, let me tell you something, there is nothing that you can dish out that, meh," Naomi stopped in mid-sentence and looked around the room. It was a bit brighter. She wondered what time it was but refocused on Vincent. "As I was saying, that is not true. When I'm ready to leave, I will leave." Missing his warmth, she cuddled close again. "I can resist you. I just choose not to right now," an extra squeeze, "and for the record, I will not be easy on you. I will put your talk to the test, all of it." Her eyes closed and only then did she cry silently against him. Her grip loosened a bit but she hung on as sleep snuck up on her. The lack of such taking her over at last.

Vincent kissed her forehead as her breathing began to slow and even out. She was a feisty one and he was going to be put to the test, a test that he would pass with flying colors.
