Kitty's eyes were wide with disbelief. She began to shake her head, her hand slowly going up to cover her mouth.
"Riddle..... I..."
Autumn giggled some more and pointed a finger at him.
I don't speak in third person anymore silly!"

"That's not all...before we knew it, she was on the ground coughing up a lot of blood....I did my best to heal her. She did manage for a while, until I took her into my secret place, and she burst out in a fit of coughing. Thankfully, help arrived shortly. Soon she was well enough to speak and move again. Once she felt better, she introduced me to her sister, who was a bit...strange, to say the least, but a good person at heart. Once she had gone, we visited her parents graves...but...I...I...love her..."
Riddle looked away, too ashamed to say anything else.
Takato smiled.
"Silly me."

Kitty's eyes grew even more so, not believing what she was hearing.
"Y-Y-You.... Love her...? Oh Riddle....."
She put both her hands over her mouth, trying to realize what he had just said, as well as catch her breath from being surprised.
Autumn smiled as well, walking over to Takato and then hugging him around the waist.
"I missed you.... I missed you a lot..."

"It gets worse...she also loved me back...but...she died...a few days ago."
He refused to look at Kitty, now feeling like the worst person in the world. Now he knew why he deserved it.
Takato smiled, welcoming her embrace.
"I've missed you too..."

Kitty couldn't take it anymore and she stumbled backwards, bumping into the wall, and slowly sliding down it. Her hands were still covering her mouth and she was breathing rather harsh.
Autumn snuggled her face into Takato's warm chest, keeping a tight grip on him.
"Yay.... I never thought I'd hear you say that..."

Riddle turned and looked at her.
"I'm sorry...I truly am...but I don't think that's enough anymore...because then, just yesterday...my son was morphed back into a feather again by Rogos, after his lover got captured by them and he went to rescue them."
"But you're here with me now..."
He smiled, trying to forget everything that was going on.

Kitty looked up at Riddle, a few wet streaks shining off of her cheek. Her eyes were red and she had just now started to remove her hands from her mouth.
"R-R-R-R-Rid-d-dle....."
Autumn nodded.
"Yes, that I am....."
The smell that Takato loved wafted back into the air again.

He walked over to Kitty, feeling like he didn't deserve to live. Kitty deserved better, much better.
"How'd your month go?"
He loved it indeed. It always soothed him, and took his mind of problems.

Kitty instantly reacted to him coming near her. At first, she tried to shuffle away from him... But then she lunged forward, grabbing his legs and hugging them, keeping close.
"Ehhh... Alright... I wasn't feeling too well for a few days... But then I realized that it was just because of me growing up. What about you? It's obvious you've grown up as well..."
She smirked a bit.

Riddle frowned. He remembered Zaner's promise...so he would have to make a decision. But that would be tough. Kitty was there first...but Zaner would have to fight through so much to get back to him.
"I was sore for a few days afterward...it really hurt this time, becoming an adult."

Kitty just wouldn't let go. She continued to hang onto him, her face burried into his pants-legs and somewhat crying. She didn't know what to do.... Riddle loved this girl... And she now wasn't sure if he loved her anymore..
"Oooo... I don't want to become an adult now.. It sounds really scary..."

Kitty simply shook her head against Riddle's legs. She didn't know whether to believe him or not now.... All she really wanted to do was just sit and cry..
"Really? Like what..?"

Now Riddle felt nauseus. He wanted her to believe him, but in the end...he knew one would end up hurt. And he didn't want that.
"I've perfected my ability to purify, I can fly really well, and I'm more mature. I'm also not considered a kid anymore, either."

Kitty could sense how Riddle was feeling... And it made her feel bad too. She cried a bit more, hanging on.... But after a few minutes, she slowly but surely began to let go and stand up, facing him with tear-stricken cheeks.
"Wow.... Now I can't wait to become an adult. Plus, there is one thing you forgot about.... Once I become an adult, I'll be free to spend all the time with you I want."
