Ansley's smile grew more natural, more easy to keep. Her smile twitched when he talked about his father, and his mother, but she listened. Than she sighed yet again that his hand was there, she was happy he kept it there, and it felt great when he squeezed. Taking the hankerchief, she nodded. "Sounds great," she said in a small, yet happy voice as she started to clean up, but her hands were shaky, making it quite a difficult task.

Shadow nodded, and then seeing her having trouble, lightly grabbed her hand and helped her dab off the mess. After that he helped her. He noticed her twitch when he mentioned his parents, but he didn't press. Not yet. "Come on. Let's head to the cafeteria." Still having a hand on her shoulder for support, though partly because it felt nice, he started to walk her towards the cafeteria. "Just in case you didn't know, My names Nathan, but everyone calls me Alex."

Ansley smiled when he grabbed her hand to help, the mainly the touching is what cheered her up. She thought he seemed really nice, and it was great of him to help her like this. When he said his real name, a confused look dashed across her face. "If your name is Nathan, than why does everybody call you Alex? Wouldn't it be, like, Nate, or something?" She was really curious about that. Her voice was cracked and a little shaky, so she cleared her throat.

Shadow smiled at the question. It was one he had heard many times before, but he was use to it. "My middle name is Alexander. My Grandpa wanted me to be called that, but Mom liked Nathan, so I became Nathan Alexander. So Grandpa called me Alex to annoy Mom, and I liked it. So I insisted on be called it, and she eventually gave in." He laughed trying to lighten her mood. "I've seen you around, but I don't know your name." They reached the cafateria and he led them to the coffe bar. He poured himself a cup of black. "So what's your name? And what do ya drink? Leaded?" He grabbed a cup for her.

"Makes sense," Ansley said, reffering to the reasoning. Her look was a little shocked that he didn't know her name, but she replaced it with a smile and a very-easy-to-put-on happy face. "My name is Ansley, but some people call me Annie. The nickname is annoying, so most people say it to annoy me, which used to work." When they reached the coffee bar, her lips twitched to the side in thought. After a short second, the smile returned, and she replied, "I forgot to mention. I'm not much of a coffee drinker."

Alex's eyebrows went up slightly when she told him she didn't like coffee. He didn't understand why people didn't like coffee. It was like manna from heaven for him, but it didn't really annoy him that others didn't like it. "Ansley." He slapped his head. "That's right, I did know your name. Tell you the truth I'm not that good with them. I know faces." He took a sip of the coffee. He grimaced. It was hot, but it wasn't very strong, but he wasn't one to turn down free coffee. "So you don't like coffee? That's okay. What do ya want, Ansley? I'll buy ya whatever you want."

Hmm..what did she want? Ansley's head wasn't entirely clear, for one thing. Also, she wasn't exactly used to this kind of attention. Her mind was processing a few things, but it wasn't entirely focused on his question. Normally she'd automatically ask for tea, so thats what she decided to do. "Tea will be fine. Umm...thanks for everything, Alex. I'm not used to people treating me so nicely. Its...different." Her voice was soft and sweet, which surprised her. When was she ever this...whatever she was at the moment?

Alex smiled again. "Tea it is!" He pour some hot water and grabbed a tea bag. He put the bag into the water and let it steep. "By the time we go sit down, this should be ready." He walked her over to a table and then sat down next to her. He handed her the tea. "There, should be ready. Earl Gray. One of my favorites when I'm in the mood." He took another sip of his coffee, then took a deep breath. Here comes the hard part. "So what's up? Did something happen in the room, or was it something else?"

Ansley took a nice, long drink of the tea. The tea felt good going down her throat. She sat the tea down, holding it on both sides. Her hands were freezing, and the cup helped. Sighing, she stared down at the cup. "My mom was murdered around this time a few years back. Yes, she did completely abandon me with my aunt, but she was still my mother. She had to do that, for work, none the less." She looked up at him, a sad, small smile on her face which grew wider with what she was about to say. "I avenged her, of course. It felt great. But now...my dad's gone missing. I have some leads, but other than that, no trace of him anywhere." She sighed sadly. Oh boy, does she ever want to find the damn people that is keeping her dad away from her.

SHadow sat and drank his coffee, listening to her story. He felt sorry for her loss, considering he had lost his father, but he was shocked when he found out her father was missing. It angered him that someone would do that to her. She was in enough sorrow as it was. He put his hands on her shoulder again. "I'm sorry Ansley. I'm so sorry. Tell you what. I'm help you look. So good?" He drank some more coffee.
(Sorry. will be gone all day. wrap this up if you want, or wait for me.))

Ansley's face lit up when he said he'd help her. "That would be wonderful!" she exclaimed. She downed the rest of the tea. It was as if she hadn't drank something in years, and boy was the tea great. She patted his hand on her shoulder, and rubbed lightly in thanks, and partly because it felt great. "Um, I think we oughta head back. Hopefully things have calmed down some..." she said as she stood up, and took his hand that was on her shoulder in her own hand. She walked out of the cafeteria and lead them to the conference room, and entered.
((well, okay. i'll be off and on as it is, so thats okay. but now, and this is for everyone, seems to me like we should really get the ball rolling.))

Zack chuckled. "True. It's a flame. Merely figured a de-coder would know many riddles. But fair enough," he replied, chuckling afterwards.
((Yes. I agree with Leah.))
