"She'll be fine. No worries." She was still facing away from the two, but now she was on the watch for Krieger, just in case. The stone under her told her that he had left for a "Foine Steak", but it never hurt to be vigilant.

Rook eyed around them, leaning down to pick up Roxy.
"Alright, Maya... Let's get her back upstairs."

((We're on the roof, but ok.))
Maya picked up Roxy's feet as Rook got her by the shoulders, and they moved into the stairwell and back into the apartment. As soon as possible, Maya broke contact and moved off to a corner to brood.

Skulblaka Sol Makina ((We're on the roof, but ok.)) Maya picked up Roxy's feet as Rook got her by the shoulders, and they moved into the stairwell and back into the apartment. As soon as possible, Maya broke contact and moved off to a corner to brood. ((Well. The roof then. My bad!)) Rook stayed with Roxy, eying her head to see the damage. "Well, Maya was right, Roxy. You're in good shape.

Maya turned to look at Roxy, but when she noticed her gaze, Maya's head whipped back around. "Your welcome...Idiot! Grow up!" She took a deep breath, stood up, and walked over to the pair of them and sat on the arm of the sofa Roxanna was laying on and nodded to herself. "Your welcome. I was only doing what the road told me to, though. I'm not a hero."

Rook opted to leave those two to talking, heading to a further area and decided to sleep for school tomorrow.

"Mm-hmm" she nodded, not thinking that the statement was odd to someone without her abilitys. Without thinking, she slid down on the couch next to Roxy. "So why are you so special to these people? I've never had people try to kill me before. Did you make someone higher up mad?" She played with one of her dreadlocks absentmindedly. Its white sheen reflected some light, making it dance on the ceiling.

Maya blushed at her smile and turned her head away. "So people just want your money? That's a stupid reason to kill someone." She laughed nervously and shifted around.

Jarred didn't follow out the window, if only because metaphysics gave him a headache.
He shrugged and decided that they could wait till the next day to move to a new place, though it was going to be cold, and awkward. He also took the time to go grab the pistol he kept in his room and slip it in his pants under his shirt.
I'm good to jump this thread up with the other threads.

In the morning Kat had headed off to school and Rook assumingly joining her, leaving Roxanna, Maya, and Jarred to find a new place.
Roxanna had a hard headache from the attack the night before, and she quietly pressed an ice pack against the side of her head. She hadn't minded the cold during the night, personally, but she'd clonked out for most of it. In the morning, however, she woke up thinking on what Maya had said, and mused slightly that there were far more people out there willing to kill her for what she was, rather than just her money. She held the ice pack a bit closer to her head as she made her way into the main room.
