Strength. She wanted to laugh at the stubborness, but she kept it in check. Even managed to keep the grin off of her face at his words as she took another step toward him. "I'm a hunter, same as you. Tell me, do you rely on your strength? Or do you trust in your speed? Your abilities and your sense of what is around you?" One more step forward, despite the weary path she was on. Oh well, the road to Hell was paved with good intensions. "You decline yet we both know that you need it. I'll heal in my own time, but the blood will still move along my neck like a tear. And waiting until then won't take away the hunger in your features."

" I rely on my self control." He remained unruffled, his body tenseing ever so slightly with every step she took forward. In this, he would not yeild.. born damned or no, he was not like his fathers race. This female was getting too familiar with his nature, welcomeing danger to herself so rashly as she tried to help him. It was alien, and he could not allow it.. could not allow her to get any closer to him. " After tonight you will not recall i existed, you know not my name or my appearance. attempting to feed me will gain you nothing up the title 'prey'... Is that your wish?"

There was a smart comment itching to leave her lips, but like each step she took, she had a feeling it was dangerous to do so. "You claim that I won't remember you anyway. I see no harm in trying." Now for the idiocy to kick in she thought as she took one more step forward. This time her hand found his shoulder, bracing herself. She didn't know how he would react, though it was clear he was fighting. "Being born of a race that isn't human doesn't make you damned. Sometimes it makes you better. I was human before this life, do you think I would have been safer? Greater and purer in the eyes of God if I had remained so?"

" No, race does not give favor in the eyes of the holy father." It took pure strength of will to keep from jerking at her touch, though it caused his hood to fall as he tried to step away. Coal black hair fell down his back, his shoulders snaping up in aggitation. If she was going to push, he would give her what she wanted. Turning around he curled his arm around her waist, holding her firmly against himself and bringing his free hand to his mouth so he could pull the glove from it useing his teeth. Then, reaching into his pocket, he pulled the crucifix from it.. his skin blistering as the symbol started to burn itself into his palm. he did not hesitate or drop the item, simply droping his head so he could muse against her ear. " But it can damn us. Stop tempting me, wolf, because that is exactly what you are doing."

She didn't dare fight against the hold of his arm above her hips, didn't move as the smell of simmering flesh tickled her nose. When he spoke against her ear she bit her lip in response. Tempting purposely? Not really. Pressing on like that of a pain in the a**? Possibly. Trying to make him stronger? Most likely. "You say it can damn us, I see no fallen soldiers, no patrons of Hell here." He hurt himself with his holy artifacts, wore them like armor. His nature did not make him evil, only the cruelty of actions could. "My name is Kiya."

" Kiya." It fit her. A low puring growl rumbled from him as he studied her neck, swiftly putting the cross into her pocket. " you are just not paying attention. Two vampires in ground, not even fifty feet away.. they will wake soon."

"I'm not afraid though I know I should be." It was true. Kiya, having had to hide herself all these years she had been a Dire, had never really developed a fear of the other species. A healthy respect yes, one healthy enough to leave them alone. But even in a hunt she went out prepared to possibly be on the losing end of the battle. Death wasn't something to be scared of, it reunited the lost. She just always fought to stay alive. She would see them all again someday, it just wouldn't be that day. The beads and the crucifix were warm in her pocket from being in his hand, and she met his gaze now. "There's controling your nature and there's fighting it. Control is knowing when to stop. Fighting is not doing it at all. So tell me again which you rely on, and which you practice."

" A bit of both, then." There was a trace of amusement in his quiet voice.. amusement, and resignation. catching her chin he turned her head to the side, not bothering to hide the red glint that had taken the place of his eyes. " Close your eyes, Kiya." lowering his head he placed a kiss on her throat, feather light and seductive. he was, after all, half vampire.. charming his meal was as instinctive as wanting to hunt it.

So he had given in now. The glint in his eyes sent a small chill through her, almost pleasant as she nodded to him. But before her eyes closed she slid her hand to his shoulder, her fingers cradling the back of his neck. Now her eyes were closing slowly, seeing nothing but shadows as she stepped even closer despite his grip. Hearing his heartbeat as well as her own, the softness of his lips and the tickling sensation of his breath against her skin. The whisper of her voice one final time before he had free reign over her vein. "I'm not afraid. And you won't hurt me." She could tell. He cared so much about innocence, that would stop him from losing control. That was how he was still here, not because he was a hunter. Because that was what he relied on.

His tongue curled over her weeping cut, sealing the skin before he allowed his fangs to trail over her delicate flesh. No.. he would not hurt her. But he had no more time to argue. The sun set just as he placed a parting kiss on her shoulder, vanishing from sight.

With the speed of his cursed kin he slamed a fire bomb upon the vampires' resting place, a clear challenge as he let the night claim him. If the only way to protect the stubborn woman was to lure the vampires from her, then so be it.

((o.o Didn't see that one coming))

His tongue over her skin made her hand tighten, but when he disappeared she stood in shock. He left without feeding from her. She was sure he had given up. And he had left her his crucifix. Still stunned she pulled it out of her pocket, studying it once more in amazement before sliding it over her head, around her neck. The cross itself was heavy against her stomach, but now was not the time to pay that much attention to it. He had left his cloak. And now she had an idea. A very stupid idea, but an idea. Pulling it on she pulled the hood up as well, leaving the house swiftly and quietly.

Amy was leaning against a tree, looking up at the darkened sky. She twirled her hair around her finger when she heard her name being called. "Amy~!" Amy turned her head to see someone running int the distance towards where she was.

Sam was almost out of breath by the time she reached Amy. "There. You. Are." She said in between breaths. "Yeah sorry about disappearing on ya." Amy replied, letting the long blue twirled hair fall down. Sam stood straight up and looked at Amy. "I found my brother while I was trying to find you." she said, chuckling. "Come on, he wants to meet you~" she said grabbing one of Amy's hands and pulling her along, still trying to catch her breath from running around.

Kneeling down on one knee Riley bowed her head, the portal ripping open in the stone doorway before her. it had taken days to collect each element for this summoning, a still born's eye had been the most difficult.. but then again, Riley was ruthless in her loyalty. pulling the book she had taken from Dr. Warwick out of her pocket, she offered it towards the desolate landscape through the portal. " My Lady.. the notes you asked for."

A hand, pale and slender, accepted the book.. Nature standing on the other side of the portal with a serene expression. " My dear child, you serve me well.. Go now, and collect the next bit of data." reaching out she placed a crystaline vial in Riley's hand, the liquid inside changeing colors beautifully. " you know how to use this, treat it with care." the portal wavered, closed.

Riley stood, studying the vial in her hand before curling her fist around it and looking towards the city. " It shall be done."

Pain ripped up his side as the silver blade tore through skin, working like a poison to drain his strength. It was not the first cut.. the bloody man jerking the sword from his ribs and staggering, falling to his hands and knees as coughs overtook him.. blood splattering into the palm of his hand as he attempted to muffle the sound. he was torn, his black hair wild and matted with blood and his bare chest and back little more than shreds of flesh. his pants were ragged with bite marks, but.. most of the blood was not his own. he had destroyed two local lycan packs, haveing stumbled into their personal battle feild.. though, it didnt seem he was any better off than their rotting corpses. he was damaged somehow, could remember nothing of why he was in that area. who am i..

His gaze narrowed calmly, the corner of his mouth tilted down in a harsh frown as he studied his blood soaked hand.. and the single drop of blood that fell to the ground below him. The dormant summoning seal flared, a gate ripping open before him to reveal a waste land of red.. and the man, ignoring the stream of blood that leaked from the corner of his lips, only smiled with grim humor. So.. i go to hell with no name.

Out of the hole before him, from the ground morphed a skeleton. Once the bones had fully risen out of the ground, in a standing position above him, muscle and flesh followed. The pale face of a girl with black eyes and long black hair that feel to the ground took shape, and in her right hand she held a silver blade identical to the sword that had just torn through his skin. "I am quite impressed, with all of those lycans you've just killed..." She bowed over enough to brush the back of her hand, soft and colder than ice, slowly against his face. "You worry you'll go to hell without a name? That would be a pity." She smiled. "That's not your only option, for I'll gladly make an exception on claiming you in death... if by allowing me to slay you with this sword, that I may claim you in life. For I already own your soul, but you shall keep your livelihood, I will bless you with my powers... and I shall give you your name."
