Banshi was a very fast reader, it usually took her less than 1/4th the time it would take an average person to read a book, without skipping any lines or words. However, with this, she took her time..... it was suddenly funny to her, how much she cared for her fellow crusniks, and they for her, yet none of them hardly ever talked about their lives before they came together as a clan.

The manuscript went over a lot of things. About Michael's life as a kid growing up in Italy. His awakening. About when he started working for the church and the many 'missions' he had done. Of course mission meant ridding the vampires out of Italy, but it was an enjoyable business. It went over his failed marriage to Cassandra Acconci and the pains of the divorce. But on a lighter note, it told of the first time he had met Banshi. How much he had enjoyed being with her over the years. How much he loved her. Finally it came to an end, remarking over his life and how he had spent it. The last words were. "And so another chapter of my life begins with this war. While a part of me wishes that this would be settled peacefully. Another part of me wants to drive my blade though the heart of Viktor Latverious. I'm still not quite sure which one I want more. -Michael Acconci."

"You know I remembered something." Mike said as he brought the two plates of food into the room. It was a simple alfredo pasta that had turned out decently. Cooking would definitely be something he had to work at. "I've never really cooked for you before have I?"

Banshi set down the papers on the bed, and smiled, "Unless you count bringing me blood, no." She was still processing everything she had read. Looking at Michael holding the two plates, Banshi said playfully, "Now just to get you a table and chairs. It's odd, I realized how crusniks typically never speak to each other about our lives before being together, as though nothing else previous is worth mentioning... I never told you anything about my life before when any of you would of been alive, have I?"

He shook his head and sat down next to her on the bed. "Not to my knowledge. Do you want to talk about it?" As he spoke he handed her a plate and fork. It was true, they didn't really talk much of the past.

Banshi took the fork and plate and, pausing and looking at it, broke out into laughter. Stopping, she wiped a tear away from her eye and said, "It has been so long since I've eaten human food! I have no idea why that is so funny to me..." Taking a bite, she continued. "Well... I think at least one person, besides myself, should know... Especially considering that you shared your life with me."

Michael remembered something when she said human food and reached into his coat. "I forgot. Earlier today I made a kill and I saved you some." He pulled out two medium sized vials and gave one to Banshi. "Well, go ahead and tell me a bit about your life. I think someone like you would have an interesting one." It was strange how he asked her that. Making it seem like they had just met five minutes ago.

Banshi gladly took the vial, putting it into her pocket. Taking in a deep breath, she began. "I was born a long time ago in a small, Celtic village. My father was a carpetnter, who later on, joined what was to become the RCS. My older brother worked the fields, and assisted my father with his work. As for my mother, she died horribly from a plague... We buried her under a willow tree near our village. Around the age of 15, I had my awakening. My father soon discovered this, and cornering me, tried to take my life. My older brother, who was by chance, a crusnik as well, died fighting back and killing my father to save me. The villagers soon chased me out with pitchforks and fire, screaming and yelling, as I ran into the woods for my life." You could see Banshi reliving the memories in her eyes, although her voice never changed.

Mike listened and took the information in. "I'm sorry about your loss. I know how hard it is to lose someone close to you, it must be especially so when it's your own father doing the deed." He kinda quieted up after that. Somberly eating the overcooked pasta and letting the sound of clinking metal ring though the air. "We've had some interesting lives haven't we?"

Banshi nodded. "Yeah... The rest in short, hopped a ship, learned English, joined the RCS for easy access to food, met other crusniks, got found out, went through torture for a leader who let himself and everyone else get killed, broke out. Then leadership, more fights, more torture, more deaths. These things basically repeated until I met and befriended Edward, who shortly after came into power. Then we met years later after the Black Cross war and the ordeal with Lanius' short return to power."

Mike chuckled a bit at the last part. "Remember the night we first met, how had no fricken idea who Lanius or Edward were? Looking back I must have seemed pretty stupid huh? And on that same note, I really don't like Edward, just letting ya know. Entitled little p***k." He was trying to focus in on the good memories to lighten the mood. But when he thought about it...there wasn't all that many good memories.

Banshi shrugged. "Well, if not for him, we would still be being hunted by the RCS... I'll tell you, it was interesting how I met him. I lost my wallet." Banshi grinned. "He did not realize I was not human until I had already made it on his good side... Edward has had his downs, but he is a human who is more decent than most. Anyways, changing the subject..." Banshi took a few bites of food, pretty good for his first try. She was happy to see he was already using the cook book she got him.

"Well I think he's a p***k and thats that." He joked, stacking his plate on the nearby desk. "Fine, on a different note. What did you think of my story? Is my writing style any good? Did I forget a comma or two?" Writing was something that he had always wanted to do, but never had the time. He needed to know where he stood skillwise.

Banshi picked up the papers and tapped them, "Excellent! Other than a few small spelling errors, it was very food, especially considering you have not had much time to form a writing style."

((I love it when people make funny spelling mistakes xD My personal favorite was when Kayla said 'It doesn't really mattress'))
Mike brightened up and gave a soft chuckle "I especially liked the bit where I danced on Cassandra's grave. And believe me, I can dance." Still laughing, he grabbed the manuscript and put it on his desk. "And when I met you of course, that is one of my favorite memories. As I recall we spent that night here, cuddled up in the pews." Recalling the night made Michael very happy. He remembered it just like it was yesterday.

Banshi blushed a bit, but smiled and nodded. "Yeah, that was nice." I guess now would not be a good time to tell him he has the same name of my older brother... My older brother was very, very different in every way though. There again, I don't wanna have to explain that. It was a nice memory... Banshi, although she had been kind and caring, had never really touched anyone before that, or let anyone touch her. Now, she appreciated hugs, a pat on the back, anything she could use to express care for those she loved.
