"Ouch," Calix chuckled sarcastically, pulling the knife out of his arm. "Was that necessary?" he asked the girl coming towards him. He was surprised she had spotted him, but he didn't mind it. If worst came to worst, he would simply move along. His wound was starting to sting, though. And he felt his blood trickling toward his wrist.

"I just meant to pin you. And if you wanted food, just ask. I know a skinny person when I see one." she said, gesturing to his stomach. "Me and my friends dislike thieves. Or spies."

Neferous watched in amusement as Jillian beat everyone in sensing an intruder. Managing just to tell him that they would wait till the meal was finished, she threw a knife into a tree and plunged at it. A conversation ensued, but Neferous felt no need to help where he wasn't needed.

Olin kept his mouth shut. He had no plans on fighting this guy. Jillian seemed to have things more than firmly in control. He found it funny that someone could be spotted so easily, but if the person was a spy, he could be dangerous to their mission.

"Easy now," Calix urged, disregarding her comment on his figure. "I didn't mean any harm, and believe me, if I was spying, you would have never found me to begin with. And how was I to know you'd take so kindly to strangers?" he continued. He found himself at ease, even with what he thought were accusing eyes gazing back at him.

"... Good point. Well, help yourself to the stew. I'm Jillian, and this is Kaitlyn," Kaitlyn waved. "Olin, Neferous, and Arc. Oh, and Soyala." she finished. "I should say so." said the werewolf, currently in wolf form. It still unnerved Jillian, a wolf talking, but she didn't care or mind.

"Well I appreciate it, and it's nice to meet all of you," Calix said. He followed Jillian towards the group, catching eyes with the one she called Arc. Calix could see slight hostility in his eyes, but didn't pay any mind to it. "May I ask what kind of stew it is?" Calix asked.

Olin winced as Jillian introduced them. They were on a mission to kill the most powerful demon in the world. It really wasn't smart to make known their names to every stranger who just happened to come their way.

Jillian caught Olin's eye and understood. "It's fish, caught out of the river... so who are you? What's your name?"

"It's Calix, and the stew smells great. Compliments to the chef," he stated, trying to be friendly. "Not much to tell about myself, really. So, is the purpose of this little expedition open for discussion?" he asked while fixing a small portion of the stew for himself. He had been a little curious about the party's journey ever since he had started trailing them.

Arc looked up at Calix. Before anyone could say something. "We're passing through the woods heading to one of my settlements." He didn't want to give out all the information.

"Absolutely not," Olin said at once. "I believe my friend has already been too open as is, no offense to you. Thanks for the compliments."
He poured himself another bowl and once again ate silence.

"Ah, sounds like an adventure," Calix chuckled. He took a bite of his stew, quite satisfied with the feeling of having some food in him. "I suppose it would be nice to have an actual town to settle in for a while. Would you mind if I tagged along? At least until we reach the settlement?" Calix asked. He hadn't had a comfortable bed to sleep in for about a month now.

Arc wasn't exactly sure what to say. It was a settlement of angels and humans. It wasn't pure like an actual angel settlement would be, for no humans can enter those so he knows. "Sure, you can tag along til we get there. But I'll be honest... We can't trust someone we just met to know our actual mission."
