A portion of the wall opened, and a new battlesuit, green like his old one, but looking very reminiscent of Iron Man's suit (since when did LexCorp ever do anything completely legitimately?), emerged from that section. "There. Try it on."

"I'll have it repainted for you, in blue, of course, and maybe try to add a few weapon systems to it, in case Superman sends magic users after you," Lex said, considering carefully.

The grin caused Lex the first pause over the Blood he'd had so far; he refused to actually let the creature see that, however. "As you can see, it's designed without a helmet. I did that because I don't normally like hiding my face, but I think that it will work in your favor, too. Nothing to get in the way of your various vision and breath powers. The flight system that's built-in could be used by you in the event that someone uses a large enough piece of green K that the lack of a helmet actually acts as more of a hinderance; you'll be able to get away. In case you felt that you weren't strong enough for some reason, it will augment your strength. The palm stabilizers, although intended for flight stability, as the name suggests, they can also be used offensively. That's all there is to it, at this point."

Lex chuckled, then said, "Actually, yes, but as a circuitry self-destruct, in case the suit gets taken somehow. That way, whoever took it can't use it for anything except a very large paperweight."

Lex turned, and immediately looked disappointed. "Had some issues, I see."

"A Super-issue," replied the Joker, looking just as battered.

"Were you also relieved of the band, or did you manage to use it before your plan fell apart?" Lex asked, sounding slightly frustrated. THIS is what he paid for?

"Oh, calm down, Lexie! I'm sure he used that little dohickie you gave him."

"Ah. So the clown got in the way." He should have figured as much.

For the first time this meeting, Lex smiled. "If the device is in place, we cannot lose him. I constructed it out of a metal found in the other Universe. I believe it's called Adamantium. The money needed to actually USE it was rediculous. Not even Superman could break it. I built a small tracking device in it. We can locate him no matter where he is. Now, our major concern is the so-called World's Finest team. Batman and Superman."

"Um, Lexie," Joker said, sounding tentative, "It's not just ANY Batman we're dealing with. It's like some crazy souped-up, cracked-out, mother-bat-sexed-a-Mercedes-Benz Batman!"

"I've faced him, too," the Joker said, almost relishing the fact that he had told Deathstroke about the new Bat, and that the mercenary hadn't believed him. He'll mess with him about it when Lexie wasn't around; Slade might be touchy about it. "He's got better toys than the Bat that we know, as well. He's got camoflage tech, can actually fly... This isn't some wanna-be, or some Robin trying to fill big Bat-shoes. I think this is a real deal we're dealing with. A not-quite-as-adept version, as Slade pointed out, but nonetheless just as legitimate a threat."

Lex took all this in. "Do you think that this could be the Batman from the future? With all the time anomalies going on, that seems to ME to be the answer that best explains it."

Joker looked at little dumbfounded. "Well... Actually, I didn't even think of that... That DOES make sense. What do you think, Deathstroke?"
