Seyla didn't like Kurai's reaction it only loosened her faith in her headmaster, even though he probably had years more experience than Kurai. But still she was unsure, she didn't feel safe like she did with Kurai. Like she had said many times before Kurai knew her. He knew her like Mattus never could, no matter how much he "watched her and her skills".
She started to pace and punch a few of the walls, a few flames bursting from her hands as she did so, but she was stopped by the sudden high pitched cry that screamed 'BLONDE!' in her mind. She cringed, faded memories of peppy blonde cheerleaders in middleschool returning with full force in her mind. And middle school was the last thing she wanted to remember. That was when the fire happened, when everything spiraled out of control. And then the experiments, the military, everything started to go wrong. It was the roller coaster she had never asked to go on.
Seyla panted heavily now as she stared at the walls soaking up what oxygen she could out of the room. She had forgotten how hard it was to breathe in here at times. But she didn't bother to turn around to see who the bubbly and frantic voices came from. They were looking for Mattus, and one spoke of Paperwork. Secretaries no doubt. But that was the last of her worries.
The images kept racing through her mind, over and over, the emotions growing stronger as she fought to contain them. She had to stop herself, she couldn't let it get to her. She had hypothesized that this glove also affected her neurons and tried to trigger the unleashing of its power. It was attached to her skin, maybe even to her blood stream through needles. She had never been able to investigate, as it was permanantly glued to her- much like a second skin that she could never shed.
Her pupils dilated as she stared ahead of her, biting her lip, fighting so hard to regain control- something she had seemed to lost in the accident in the Asura labs with her then boyfriend Zero, the alchemist. Things had seemed to be going well before then, he had even given her a flicker of hope in the darkness of her world. But of course things had to go wrong. That stupid accident she had to ask to see that alchemy. Seyla suddenly cursed loundly, unable to hold it back any longer as a large flame was released from her hand, it was bright blue a signal that it was very warm as well.
But then she gasped, quickly seeking to regain control. What had she just done, she could have killed them! This was the reason why she had left Ria in the first place, she could barely even keep her emotions in check anymore. And when her emotions weren't in check there was no way anyone was safe with her flames and that gloved hand.

Matt suddenly whirled around at the sound of his secretaries and jumped for joy.
"HEY Kristen! Jessica! Perfect timing! Tell this girl who i-"
Matt's expression suddenly changed to disgust.
"Paper work! NO!"
He ran and hide behind Kurai and threw small stones in their direction. All the while screaming, "YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!"
His eyes suddenly glinted as he sensed a blue hot flame hurtling in their direction. He quickly stood in front of it and ripped off his glove, putting his palm completely flat as if he were going to catch it. The ball of flamed hurtled into his hand, stopped for a second and then slowly absorbed into his hand. Matt winced and his eyes watered a bit. He slowly put his smoking hand back into his glove and wiped his eyes. He then ran over to Seyla and grabbed both her arms and looked into her eyes and shook her gently.
"Seyla! Get a hold of yourself! You need to learn to keep mind over matter, especially with that much power inside you!"

Kurai was somewhat embarresed when he saw Mattus leap behind him and began chucking pebbles at the two secreteries. The Two gurls seemingly shielded their face as Mattus tossed them Kristen sweatdropped and Jessica danced around frantically.
"Mattus-sama! Watch out behind you!" KRisten yelled out as she saw Seyla spark the flame. Quickly she pulled out her pistol and aimed it twoards Seyla. Jesssica did the same. It was instinct for them to do so in order to protect Mattus.
Not all of the large blue flame was absorbed by Mattus. Same ripped past his body and twoards Kurai. Kurai quickly shielded himself with his bare hands and felt the violent hot sensation of the blue flame rip by him and throw him onto the ground. Jessica and Seyla ducked down in their own defense and was forced to bring their guns back and shield their head instead. Fourtantly the force of the remaning flame only skimmed by injuring Kurai slightly as he quickly stood up and saw Mattus was holding down Seyla's hands and looking straight at her.
"Mattus! Be carful! Don't let her get scared! Seyla! Its ok! Calm down!" he yelled in concern./

Everything was in slow motion for Seyla. She watched helplessly as the flame headed straight towards the group, unable to shoot her eyes or look away. Was this her mind torturing her? Or something else completely. She couldn't explain what it was, or the pure anxiety that surged through her veins.
At that instant Seyla was more frightened than any one of them standing there in the fray. Even more so than the two secretaries Kristin and Jessica. As the flame impacted with Mattus and crouched down curling into a tight ball, fighting to tear her gaze away. She thought she was going to kill them. And it hurt her to know that. These people were innocent, they had never done anything to harm her. Especially Kurai.
She risked a glance and saw that Mattus had absorbed most of the electric blue flame. She was shocked. How was it that he still stood, that he was still alive? And then she saw him racing towards him and he gripped her shoulders tightly sending a shock through her system. She gasped loudly and a few small flames flickered with that gasp. He told her to calm down, to get a hold of herself. It was might over matter. But he didn't know! No he didn't understand! He didn't have this stupid glove controling those flames, causing this to happen. She wanted to curl up and cry.
But it was then that she realized she hadn't seen Kurai and she started to panic. "Wh..where's Kurai?" she asked frantically looking around eratically. She fought to find release from Mattus's grip and when there was none she screamed.
"Where's Kurai?!" her voice was loud and wrought with pure emotion. It was definately not a good thing as two more flames, just like the first were born from her hands and thrown at Mattus. What was happening? She didn't understand anymore, she was no longer in control...but who was? Was this a dream? a nightmare? Sure it had to be right? Seyla would never do this. Nothing like this could ever happen to her.
She stared out in shock, her mouth agape and then everything faded to black. Darkness, complete darkness.... it was probably the safest place for her to be...ever.

Matt watched as Kurai took a nasty hit. He gaped in wonder. How had he not absorbed all of it? He looked at his hand that was still hot from deflecting the blast then back at Seyla. How much power could she have? He looked down in horror as she prepared to more flame blasts. Matt's power was all in his right hand where his enchanted scar was. He was still a fire elemental however, so the flame wouldnt have as much of an effect on him as the others. I can't dodge, I'm the only one who can survive this...
Matt braced himself and took both shots square in the chest. He grimaced as he half absorbed both blasts. I can't let her get away from me...others could get caught in the cross fire! He was then hurtled away from Seyla, but he held onto her and pulled her with him as she blacked out. He held her close and used his momentum to turn himself in the air so that he landed on his back and skidded across the floor with Seyla.
She then went limp in his arms. Matt slowly scooped her up and stood up slowly grimacing. He turned around and yelled towards his secretaries, "Jessica, Kristen! Call the medical team now!" It had been along time since he had used that commanding tone. But this time it was serious. He turned to Kurai. He caughed a little bit and a line of blood appeared at the corner of his mouth. He slowly limped towards him with Seyla cradeled in his arms. Blood dripped to the ground from both of his chest wounds.
"Kurai are you hurt?!" he croaked, while limping.

Kurai watched Mattus's amazing mid-air turn. It was a very hard manuver indeed but This man Mattus was able to pull it off. From that momment Mattus has earned the respect of Kurai. Kurai saw the two violent lights of blue smash onto Mattus's chest squarly and then die out.
After Mattus yelled out the command Kristen quickly stood up straight and saluted Mattus.
"HAI!" Kristen yelled out in reply with a firm tone. It took a while but Jessica did the same with a softer but firm "HAI!" And then the two of them rushed off. Kurai himself slowly fell to his knees and looked at Seyla. He sighed and then held his arm. Seeing Mattus he let out a smile.
"Still sure you wanna teach this gurl?" Kurai joked and then sighed. "... Seyla..."

He followed Lena all the way to the Training Hall, raising an eyebrow at the attitude she had now. To Taern, she seemed more giddy and playful. It was a somewhat strange way to see her but slowly became a somewhat pleasant change. Taern knew he shouldn't get used to it though.
He walked through the entrance of the training hall, looking around for something to do. As usual, several people were training at once, wither by themselves or getting into fights with others. Nothing ever really changed around Ria.

Lena moved directly over to the staffs leaning against a wall. She inspected each of them carefully. Most of them were weak. She finally found one that would be sufficient enough. She turned and moved back over to Taern, a smirk resting easily on her lips. "Just so we don't get into the trouble we did last time, I think I'll stay away from the blades." She spun the staff next to her and stepped back. "Pick your weapon."

He chuckled a bit at Lena's most recent remarks and though that it was also best to stay away form his more efficient weapons. He piled all his gear into a nearby corner, and rolled his shoulders, including other small stretches, to loosen himself up.
He motioned towards each of the various weapon racks, sometimes picking up certain weapons to test balance and efficiency, and then carefully placing them back into their proper places. Finally, he stumbled upon a fine bamboo sword. It was light, finely crafted, and fairly easy to use. The best thing about it is that it could absorb tremendous amounts of force and still be effective. He gave it a couple of hard swings and amazed even himself at what blinding speed he could achieve with the weapon.
He moved out towards the center of the floor, positioning himself in front of Lena. He turned towards her, and slowly moved into his first stance, sword in both hands and feet spread about shoulder length.
"So, shall we begin?

Lena smirked and lowered herself comfortably. She spread her hands out on the staff to where it seemed a bit awkward. She had been taught the harder fighting techniques since she could remember. And it was all she had. "Let's." She moved around him slowly, making sure to place her feet down in a place where she couldn't easily be bowled over.

This was the place he was most interested in. He walked up to the main doors and pushed them open, poking his head in and sniffing the air gently. "Oh, yeah." He could smell combat, even if it was training.
