Tsurui smiled and said nothing, the pendulum on the other hand did all the talking for him. It began to swing gently back and forth. The black crystal on the end, shone with a purple aura as it swung faster. This is a technique by which we pick our victims. If a normal person does this, it'll point to a card representing a single jester. The only one that is allowed to lay a hand upon them." He smiled and kissed her cheek gently, as he waited for the pendulum to stop.
The small crystal pointed to a card on the far end of the line of cards. Tsurui smiled and picked the card up, looking at it curiously. "Heh, just as i thought." He smiled and flipped it around, showing Kitte. "It's The Lovers. My card. I'm the only one of my siblings that has the right to harm you." He smiled and placed the cards in a stack again. "I know it was kinda pointless to show you...but i thought it would be interesting." He smiled and sighed happily, detecting the faint smell of her burning flesh. Remembering his own acidic blood. With a smile, he gently took hold of her hand, and lovingly kissed her burned palm, as if to apologize for it.

Her eyes followed the pendulum's movements with intense interest. The lightning blue seemed to glow as she concentrated more and more trying to keep the dangling object from becoming a blur in her vision. She smiled as she felt his lips touch her cheek but did not take her eyes from the image of the swinging pendulum.
When the pendulum stopped, so did the movement of her eyes. The glow of her eyes faded then refocused. "So, only you can harm me? or only you can rightfully harm me?" She looks a bit confused. "Would you harm me?" Her eyes seem to catch sparks as she seemed to look through him.
She smiled, feeling his soft touch as he led her hand to his lips and kissed it lovingly. Leaning her face into his, she returned a kiss of her own.

Tsurui smiled happily, feeling her lips pressed against his. "Hehe, what i mean. Is that of any Death Jester, i'm the only one that could ever take you're life." He let out a small laugh, and hugged her tight.
"Of course i wouldn't want to hurt you, it just means that you don't have to worry about my jester brethren. Besides...if anyone even touches you, they'll have to answer to me..." He said, a rather protective, and affectionate tone in his voice. Tsurui thought to himself for a moment, so many conflicting thoughts and emotions were running through his mind. Never before has he shown any concern for anyone beyond himself and his siblings.
Tsurui, while holding her, mumbled something under his breath, something even he didn't think would ever pass his lips. A part of him, didn't even reaslie he'd said such words. Just that he know they felt right to say them. Inside though, he hoped that Kittie hadn't noticed, or heard those words.

She smiled at the thought of that. No one but her love would have her life. Well, of the jesters anyway. Brushing her cheek agains his, her arms came to wrap about his back, crossing behind him to have her hands rest on his shoulders. as she rested her chin on one. As she did so, she caught a bit of sound coming from Tsurui's mouth. Leaning her cheek against his, she asked in a voice, sounding so soft and sweet, "What was that, love?"

Tsurui's eyes went wide, hot awkward feeling overcame him, as she asked him what was just said. "Er...it was nothing really, it wasn't." He said with a nervous smile. What was weird, is he wanted to say it again, he wanted her to hear those words. Yet, he still didn't trust his own heart.
"I think, you already know what i'm going to say." He whispered softly to her, she was still in his arms, his entire body felt as though it was on fire, he'd never wanted to say something like this so badly to someone before. He took a deep breath, but looked away from her...the shadows of the room masking his eyes from view.
"...I...think...i love you...' He stuttered out, his red of his embarassed face showing through the mask. Even if he was looking away, his arms still held Kittie, a small smile spreading arcoss his lips.

Standing in his arms, she waited for his words, her cheek remained leaning against his. Her heart raced though her body stayed still. She longed to hear the words she thought had passed through his lips, to hear them clearly spoken to her. She kept quiet though. This wasn't something she wanted rushed or pressured out of him. She wanted him to say it of his own will, to say it and wish it to be said.
Her heart nearly burst upon hearing the words, stuttered though they may be. She flung her face up to try and meet his eyes but found them to be averted. Her eyes danced as she asked him as softly as she'd asked her previous question, "Oh? You just 'think' you do?" The tone of her voice was teasing and sweet, as if to chase away the red embarrassment that shone through his jester's mask.
After a few seconds time, she whispered, "I love you too, darling." Laying her head back upon his shoulder, she smiled. Her eyes were held shut; her arms kept him in a tight embrace, as if she never wished to let him go. The smile gradually grew to a grin that hurt her cheeks to maintain. She almost couldn't help but laugh. Her body felt so light and giddy, as if she were floating and standing on nothing at all yet at the same time as if her legs would give out at any moment. She was only too glad to have his arms around her to serve as extra support.

Selena absorbed Kiani's words, thinking. A Fulata. She had never heard of it before, but the way Kiani said it, it did not sound good. She took another bite and leaned back in the couch.
"I just have to figure out where to start from," she said, thinking at the same time. "I have no idea where her daughter could even be at." She finished chewing and looked at Kiani again. "If this demon can come to me and haunt me in my dreams, who knows what else she can do?" she shuddered, hoping never to experience that monster again, but knew deep down inside she would inevitably have to.

"where did this master of yours live?" Kiani asked curiously "perhaps that would be the best place to start, some one may know about this daughter and what ever became of her" Kiani nodded her head and glanced cautiosly aroung the room.

Sighing in sadness, Selena ate the last bite of the bread. "Her village was burned years ago. There weren't any survivors. The village itself is destroyed; not even the pillagers of the place moved in. It's been completely abandoned."
She thought about it for a moment and sat up. "But if her daughter is still alive, she must have survived. But how?" she said more to herself than to Kiani. She began to run through things in her mind. "Perhaps the neighboring village. It's a few days march from hers, but they might have some information. Have you heard of Elfegen?"

Kiani nodded, she had indeed heard of Elfegen. As a wanderer she had traveled to many different places, and Elfegen had been one of them. "Then it is in Elfegen that we must start looking" she said matter of factly.

Selena blinked. We? Was Kiani going to help her on her quest? Selena preferred to be alone, but it had been a long time since she had company.
She laughed nervously. "We? Are you going with me?" she said, blushing.

"Unless you don't want me to" she said in her normal soft tone. "I have done quite a lot of traveling in my life, and I know Elfegen very well." she said smiling "besides I dont' much like to stay in one place to long" for a moment her eyes twinkled with something like excitement or sadness, or mischiviousness, or something.

Selena smiled and took the offer of company with a strange sort of excitement. It had been awhile since she had had a traveling companion; not since the days of Ramand, her silent but burly bodyguard and Alorrah, the runaway warrior princess who saved her life. "Well then, I suppose we should be properly supplied," she smiled. "Do you have any horses?" she asked, getting herself excited for the journey ahead.

Kiani, looked at her and shook her head, the truth was, she didn't ride to often. And her last horse Luna was boarded at a small town north west of here. "i'll go pack us some food, ok?" with that she stood up and started towards the kitchen.

Since Kiani didn't have a horse to bring along, Selena considered renting a pack mule. She never rode much, but since she liked to travel as wolf she wouldn't be any good carrying supplies. She considered changing her habits for once if needed and followed Kiani into the kitchen, grabbing a sack and preparing to fill it with breads and jerkys.
