Pastela laughed softly, waving her hands in front of her. "Oh no no! Please don't say that Woobie! It was, after all, your brilliant idea to go off that led us here to begin with. Now we know what sort of changes may lay ahead of us! You must take some credit for it." She had no idea that he hadn't planned ahead at all with his acorn-tossing choice, that instead it had been a totally random decision with no follow up plan to go with it.

"Hah! I knew it!" Alaera exclaimed excitedly. "Whenever I find something strange, it turns into a pae" she nodded matter-of-factly as she continued to watch. She'd never seen a pae come into being quite like this though. Another hoofed foot followed by a leg and then a torso, finally a head emerged from the acorn, though comically the top portion of the acorn remained perched precariously on top of the creature's head like a hat. It was purple, with a silver little tuft of a hair poking out from under the acorn top, and the most beautiful deep blue eyes.

She leaned down to the little guy. "Hi there little sweetie."

He stared out with his big blue eyes toward the big strange creature that spoke to him, sucking hard on his binkie. It's aura felt familiar and comfortable to him. After a moment, he stuck a fist out and grabbed a handful of it's hair dangling down, using it as leverage to first pull himself up, and wobble unsteadily over to it. He snuggled close to it, refusing to let go of the precious strands twisted in his purple hand.

"Ow owowow." Alaera exclaimed, being pulled down even closer to him but her heart softened as he snuggled next to her. "Awww he's so cute! I'm gonna call you Lorne!" She picked him up and put him in her lap.

"Hey where'd Ivy go?" she asked finally noticing her absence. "So I wonder what it is, he doesn't look like any pae I've ever seen."

Sally nodded. "Well, the pumpkins will take awhile to grow anyway. There should be plenty of seeds back in the garden now with all the destruction." She sighed. "I don't know what I'm going to do now. I spent so much time and energy in that garden and taking care of the children I find. I'm starting to feel like I've missed out on another side of life." She glanced around at the pae gathered nearby and could see the clear similarities between those gathered and the pae standing in front of her. Don't get her wrong, she loved her pae family, she really did, but she'd just lost generations of pumpkins that had once been her family. They were her real real family but they were gone now and she felt an empty spot that she'd just began to realize had been growing. Sally may have been a pumpkin once upon a time but that was no longer the case and though she'd been clinging to them even in her new pae form it was time to move on. To move forward.

Lhia nodded back in greeting. "Hello Devyn. My name is Lhiannan Sidhe, though you may just call me Lhiannan or Lhia if you prefer. I would say my friends call me that but I don't think I have any" she admitted without emotion. The luxury of friends was not something that she had ever come to know and therefore never felt sad that they were absent from her life.

Upon hearing about the snake possibly slithering about, she couldn't help but glance around in concern. Her concern though was not being scared of its presence but rather hoping she hadn't stepped on it accidentally and drained his poor pet snake - she would never get over the guilt if she had killed a pet.

"Thank you for warning me about Fang. I might have eaten him by mistake. " She answered frankly, without further explanation.

"Speaking of fangs, I see you have some as well. Are you part snake?" she questioned, having caught a glimpse of the elongated teeth while he was talking. A thought occurred to her and suddenly afraid of the energy she'd pulled in, quickly followed the first question with another. "You're not poisonous are you?" She glanced at her hand, half expecting to find it swollen. She'd been bitten by a fair many of poisonous snakes while living in Dragnid and hunting for her food.

Eclipse smiled. "That sounds like a nice idea Cronous." He did like the idea. He had never seen the ocean either. Being born of the eclipses. "Boring."

Apollo smiled. "She is, she is. I'd love to." He hadn't done all that much with his mom. She seemed to be on important elder things most of the time.

Waikiki KiKi stood up and then walked to the water. She put her foot in and felt how cold it was. "Oh, burrr..." she said. The teen had already gotten used to the warm waters of the ocean. Still, she had to try to get back in and enjoy time with Zuri before she had to help her family.

***

Hula Bob smiled. "Thanks so much Sally. Now what can I do to help you?" Hula Bob wanted to help her out. She seemed so sad. Just about as sad as he did. The surfer liked to make others happy. It's what he loved more then even the water. He didn't think he would be able to, but he wanted to try.

Zuri Seabrook didn't particularly mind how chill the lake was in comparison to the ocean. In fact, he kind of preferred it. Perhaps it was because the ocean had caused some kind of allergic reaction he didn't fully understand, but the cold waters also felt more familiar to him, and more like home. Besides, even these waters would eventually warm up, especially when surrounded by so much warmth.

He grinned to see Waikiki Kiki standing up and coming to join him in the waters. It seemed she was a little chilly, but that was alright; he hadn't a doubt in his mind that she would get used to it. "Just jump in," he suggested, with a grin, "the water's fine."

Waikiki KiKi put her hands on her hips and shook her head at him. She then shaped a wave like a 'coral' and watched go near Zuri. "Watch out or the corals will get you!" She said with a giggled as she slowly wadded in.

Cinna started at the acorn as it hatched. "That's odd." She knew she came from a plush toy so she really wasn't one to talk. "I'm a grandparent?" She hadn't actually thought she was a mom yet. The little naiad acted more her boss than her child. Cinna just got confused over the whole situation.

"Yes 'Mother,' you're a grandparent.." Leitha rolled her eyes, walking to the tiny thing that Seraphim had just sat on the ground.

"He looks funny..." She mumbled, wanting to poke it to see if he'd make a noise. Fighting that desire she stroked the small tuft of hair on the child's head. "Let's call him Christian..."

He blinked, looking from the purple guy that had him, to the red chick to the weird blue and silver girl in front of him. Quickly deciding that Leitha was his 'parent' he pawed lightly at her.

"Believe it or not, Leitha is your daughter of sorts Cinna." He pointed out, knowing Leitha didn't see like much in the way of a child. "If you'd prefer one of your own, you know how to acquire them." He wasn't going to tell her no, though by all rights he shouldn't have children. Not with the chance that they would turn out to be mean and nasty.

Zuri laughed, dodging the 'coral' wave that was coming at him by simply going under the water. Then, he came back up and giggled. "Haha, I won't be defeated that easily!" The naiad then swam towards Waikiki Kiki, staying under the water so he could sneak up on her from under the water like some kind of shark. The naiad was snickering all the while.

"You're room sounds wonderful to me." Wherever to get away from the sounds, but now that she thought about it she hadn't heard the sounds in a little while. "You think it stopped?" She didn't actually want to know, she was just happy not to hear it.

***

Aspen shrugged as he knew his mom would be fine. She was an elder and all. He looked to Melek. "You ok, buddy?" He then took to looking at the pae that hatched from the acorn. "He's cute, but I've never seen anything like it before."

***

"Oh, yeah, true. I'm just random. It's nice to be with someone who isn't." To prove his point, Woobie did a back flip and then looked back at her with a large grin. "See, random!"

***

Cinna nodded to the information given. The bossy-child was her adopted daughter? Well, isn't wasn't that strange. They didn't have a normal relationship as it was. "Yeah..." Would he want kids of his own?

She wouldn't mind trying one day, maybe it wouldn't boss her around.
Cinna then turned to the little thing pawing at Leitha, "He's adorable!" She went back into Cinna mode and dropped down with oohs and awws to Christian.

Rais listened to the child as he rambled off his adventure. He nodded and waited until the child was completely finished. He wanted to know exactly what had happened.

Now he understood that Faroth didn't mean to do anything. The acorns falling was because of the wind and the move. The tree was visible now and it made since that acorns would fall. He also knew and realized that Faroth didn't know that his very presence is what caused the acorns to grow and hatch.

Rais lifted the chin of the child, "I understand. I'm not happy, but you did it out of a helpful nature. That is good and I'm glad you jumped to the service of the faun, but now there are fauns loose on the isle." He stood up and sighed. He was angry at the child, but not extremely. He was disappointed in the fact that fauns were now loose and with angles or demons. That he really wasn't happy about. "What do you think we should do?" He asked council of the child, only becuase he now had more dealings with the isle and it's inhabitants then the Chieftain did.

Ivy flew to the tree, but then was distracted by a sound. She flew and landed in the very Fae Clearing she held so dear. The sound was clearly crying. "Hello?" She called and walked until she found a small pae child. It looked like no other pae she had seen. It had longer ears, hoofed feet and a long tail. "Oh, my!"

The child stopped crying when a creature came to her. She looked up and smiled. This creature looked nice and like the tree. She knew she was supposed to stay in a tree, but where?

Faroth peeked up in surprise, where he'd been cringing and awaiting another reprimand like one might await a physical blow. The Chief...was asking HIM what he thought? But...didn't the Chief know everything?

"I...I don't know," he stammered, trying to gather his wandering thoughts. "I don't think it'd be easy to try and find them all now. And if the one I found is any indication, it won't be easy to take them back anyway. The big thing that found it was pretty protective of the acorn." He forgot what the big things had called themselves...Pae'il? Yeah, but they certainly weren't Faun, so he wasn't sure what the differences between them were, since they certainly didn't look the same.

He hesitated, thinking for a bit. The Chieftan might not like what he was about to say, but... "I'm not sure...that these Pae'il things are all that bad. Granted, some seem a little clumsy and goofy..."

A barely audible, low, grumbling growl from the foliage was all that vocalized the lurking tiger's objection.

Faroth hid a cocky grin as he continued, "...but overall, the ones I met at least, seem to mean us no harm. And the one that found the acorn was very protective of it, even before knowing what it was. They could have hurt me...but they didn't." He looked down at his hooves, unsure what else to add. "So...I don't know what to do. All I can add is what little I've seen."

Waikiki KiKi giggled as she watched the Naiad swim around like a shark. He seemed a whole lot better. She was glad of this. It was good to seem him well and happy. KiKi didn't like Zuri in pain or sad.

Rais nodded and his hand went to his chin while he thought about what the child had said. Were the angels and demon above warring? He knew he had been reborn and maybe so had the Isle. Was it peaceful now, not like it had been?

He cracked his neck and then looked around. "Lead me to these, 'big things.' " Rais needed to see it for himself to really decide his next actions. Maybe there was a way to gather all the fauns and bring them back? He shook his head as he thought of a different plan, while Faroth led the way.

Even under the strange circumstances, Takeko couldn't help her maternal instincts that took over. "I have no idea what the little guy is, other than completely adorable," she chuckled, reaching out to stroke the toddler's cheek as he tried to hide.

Melek looked up and nodded briefly at Aspen with a smile. He was fine...afterall, he wasn't the one getting yelled for earlier by the earthquake! Still, the little thing from the acorn had caught his attention. He hadn't come from an acorn...had he? Nah, course not. He wasn't a funny thing with little square feet...things.

Wonder if it was any fun to play with?

---

That...wasn't the reaction Devyn had been expecting. He was taken aback, unsure how to respond to comments of accidentally eating his familiar...

Thankfully, he had another question to distract his mind and push aside odd thoughts about Fang. "No, no," he assured her, shaking his head, "I'm not part snake and I'm not poisonous. They're basically aesthetic only," he chuckled, relieved that she didn't seem all that afraid of his fangs. Of course, he wasn't about to elaborate on other things...like the fact that his fangs were only elongated at the moment because he was growing...'thirsty.' Still, it was manageable, so no cause for panic yet.

"Well, personally, it's a pleasure to meet you, Lhiannan. I don't have a great number of friends myself, but perhaps we could do something to change that, hmm?" He smiled, catching himself before offering her his arm. It'd been a long time since he'd seen anyone he'd called 'friend' and honestly, with his...'condition', he was reluctant to seek out just anyone for companionship. However, if his fangs didn't scare her off, perhaps he could share her company for at least a little while.

---

Faroth blinked up at his Chieftan, then scrambled to his hooves. "Yes, sir," he nodded, turning and dashing into the foliage. He headed straight for the lurking tiger and leapt on Kane's back with a cheeky grin. "You heard, didn't ya'? Let's go!"

Kane sneered, growling low in his throat. The kid was lucky he couldn't actually speak in tiger form. Instead, the tiger stretched upwards against a tree, sliding Faroth off his back unceremoniously to bump on the ground on his tail. Then, the demon shifted back to his normal demonic form and shot the child a glare. "I'm not a taxi service, kid."

Another cheeky grin that looked so familiar and yet not. "It was worth a try."

Kane rolled his eyes, folding his wings over his shoulders like a cape as he watched the kid set off in the direction they'd left the others. His slitted blue eyes darted towards the bigger of the fauns, the one Faroth had called his Chieftan. As an automatic reflex, Kane had sized up the new arrival on sight. As he stood, he shouldn't have been all that impressive, and yet, something in Kane's senses told him that there was more to this guy than met the eye.

Still, while he wasn't about to pick a fight or anything...Kane wasn't one to bow or grovel to another Pae...if that's what these things really were. And so, his only reaction was to nod at the antlered faun with a murmured, "Yo," before turning and following after Faroth.

So much for a grand meeting between the leader of the fauns and the first non-faun Pae in centuries.

Aysu listened for a few more moments, before nodding. "I think so," thankfully. Aysu was done with listening to that creepily loud sound that was making the ground underneath them shake. Of course, that didn't mean she actually wanted to go back out there at the moment, though. He would much, much rather stay in their house with her beloved Ice Queen.

"Let's stay in here, though. You know, just in case." She kissed the angel's cheek before leading Noel in the direction of her room so they could relax and try not to focus on all the weirdness that had happened so far that day. ...Or, at least, it would give them a chance to truly let it sink in, and they had each other in case either got sad again.

------------

And Zuri, too, liked it better when he was in this mood, for obvious reasons. He breached the surface of the water and chomped his teeth together as if he was hungry and was going to eat Waikiki Kiki, before he broke into a fit of snickers. He was glad Waikiki Kiki seemed happy again, too. He had hated tearing her away, but she seemed to be in a good mood now, and if she was in a good mood, that made the rainbow naiad feel even better.

He then stood on his tail and waved back and forth, before attempting to pull Waikiki Kiki further back into the water with him. Then they could have some fun with the waves and the water, even if the waves in this water weren't quite as big.

------------

Criofan was better at keeping himself hidden than even he expected. The big faun-thing, apparently some kind of leader called a Chieftan, and the little faun-thing headed off and ran into Kane, completely ignoring him. The fae couldn't help his grin before he started after Kane and the faun-things, not revealing himself immediately and instead keeping himself a few steps behind.

After a few moments, he decided to catch up to them and walk alongside them. "Hello." If the Chieftan had truly been gone that long, would he even recognize the fae Pae'il? He seemed awfully old. However, Criofan was completely oblivious to how old the man truly was; all Criofan knew was that these Pae'il were nothing he had seen before now, and this adult Faun referred to as the Chieftan seemed very powerful.

Magnus and Texas hadn't moved, luckily, so if Faroth had remembered where he had come from, he would find them both in the same place. At the moment, the intoxication fae was staring at the acorn baby and trying to figure out what to call it. After a few moments, he decided 'it' was suitable. "So, what are you gonna' call it?"

Texas shushed Magnus before looking back to the small toddler he was holding in his arms. It grabbed at his finger and held onto it, and Texas couldn't help cooing as if he was a new mother. He found this little acorn baby absolutely adorable, unlike all of the other siblings he had to suffer. The faerie nearby groaned, but Texas shushed him once again, before ignoring him all together and just watching the new satyr-thing child. ...He really needed to find out a formal name for them.

He stroked the toddler's head, before announcing, "Vangelis." That was what he would call this little boy.

"Vangelis?" Magnus pulled his head back and glanced at Texas oddly, before pausing for a few moments. Well, when he thought about it... "Actually, that's a pretty epic name. Almost as epic as mine."

Vangelis, as he was now dubbed, turned the finger this way and another, before deciding to take the finger and put it in his mouth like a pacifer. The big brown thing made sounds that sounded happy, and it made the little boy happy, too. He offered a babyish smile at Texas and copied the sound of laughter before resuming sucking on Texas' finger.
