Neko reacts as Iri begins to mold her chakra. His own chakra flares up and his body twitches ever-so-slightly before he stops himself, never taking his eyes off of Dalcon, even though his guise switched from light-hearted to stern and sharp.
"I see. You're about the right age. So what exactly would you have me do?

"I don't know, sir," Dalcon says, slightly confused. "It's more of what -you- would have -me- do, since you know about these...L-limiters, was it? Do I need to get a new one, can this one be fixed, or..." He falters slightly, touching his new scar, "Do I need to be fixed?"

Iri never notices Neko's flare of chakra. Eventually, though, she lets the ball collapse. Mostly because bugs seemed to get caught up in it and started biting. Now she just stands there with her hands cupped in front of her and curiously watches.

Neko reaches down to Dalcon's wrist and snatches his bracelet off.
"You'll be better off without it. It's not safe to keep these on all the time."
He smiled as he pocketed the bracelet.
"You'll be fine, just stay asleep or stay calm during any new moons."

He stares at the bare ring of skin on his wrist. "But Mom said...what's going to happen on the New Moon, Nekojiri?" A note of panicked 'this is a bad idea, Tommy', leaks into his voice.

"If you keep this on, it'll have bad effects on your health. And you'll go through a lot of pain under a full moon."
Neko looked back up to Iri.
"I guess you're taking care of him now? Kaimen isn't one to like children much, so he must be hurting for nin if he wants to keep Dalcon around..."

Iri rolls her eyes. "Tell me about it. Kai said he would have rather seen him die."
She shakes her head and starts again. "He didn't want to keep Dalcon around. In fact, he came to the Kaze Dojo asking me why I seem to attract kids. So I suggested putting Dalcon to work or educating him. So, he's now my second student. Oh, and, erm," Iri looks in Syn's direction and back at Neko. "I don't mind Syn being around. Honestly, I'm starting to find her creepy antics to be oddly endearing. But, he didn't like that, either. I'm not complaining about her. I'm just saying that it might start something. So, erm, what do you suggest? I could teach her, too. She may even find that to be entertaining, though I'm sure she doesn't really need the knowledge. And I'm not sure if Kaimen would be kosher with that choice of student. Guess I'm between a rock and a hard place, ya know?"

"Syn?"
Neko looks down to her and chuckles a little, putting a hand on her head as he looked back to Iri.
"You could teach her the principle, if you want, but she couldn't use any of the techniques. She doesn't have any chakra. Keeping her on a short leash is impossible for me now that I've lost my lab, but I can try to keep her occupied enough that she doesn't head your way, if you'd like."

"Please," Dalcon says quickly. "And, sir, you didn't answer my question....what will happen?"

"Let's just hope you dont have to find out. Work on your willpower and self control, else you'll hurt like Hell."
Neko had a finality in his tone, and didn't even take his attention from Iri as he answered Dalcon.
Syn snickered and watched Dalcon. She knew he wanted to know more, and also that Neko wasn't going to give much more up.

Iri shakes her head. "If she likes me enough, I'm sure Syn'll sneak away, anyhow. She may not be a child, but she has the tendencies of one, so she's sure to find a way to do as she wishes. As long as you don't mind me giving her something to do, it should make things less strenuous between both parties. Okay then!"
She looks at Syn and smiles. "Sound like fun, sweets?"
Then she glances at Dalcon. "As for this one, I can work with him on self control. I've had to do that from an early age."

Dalcon stifles a 'heugh' at Iri repeatedly calling Syn 'sweets'. Sweet as a month old carton of milk, most likely. He crosses his arms, dismayed at being separated from something he's always had, from not getting information, and the idea of having to study anywhere near -or with, God forbid- Syn.

Iri looks between the two kids and claps her hands with a rare girlish giggle. Neko says Dalcon needs to learn about self control and willpower? Syn is sure to help with that. Even if Iri doesn't get Syn in on the lesson, Iri can make use of her antics and Dalcon's sometimes abrasive and undisciplined personality. Perfect! Iri probably shouldn't have been granted this kind of power.
"Well, looks like that's settled. Are we set? I'm ready to go home and crash for a while."

((Sorry about that, Gaia ate my post, apparently, and I didn't notice till now ._.; ))
Syn nodded smartly and smiled, still holding onto Neko's Hakama.
"I'll stay here for a while, though."
Neko smiled and ruffed up Syn's hair. A figure appeared behind Neko, hidden behind the treeline, and as it did, Neko's demeanor turned a bit more serious.
"That's not a bad idea, Ms. Gale. If you'll excuse me, I have a little bit of business to attend to."
He didn't budge from his spot, and neither did the figure. They both just watched and waited for the visitors to leave.

Dalcon frowns, still a bit miffed at his lack of security OR information. He looks up to his new Sensei, apparently, and blinks questioningly. "Where to?"
