Max thought a moment and leaned against the wall. She took a licorice whip from the grocery bag Parker was carrying and nibbled on the tip before answering him.
"Like always."
She winked up at Parker then yawned, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand. It was really late and she was beat. The young woman moved to push gently in Parker, trying to get him off of her door so that she could open it.
"Move your butt Park."
She yawned again and looked up at him, her key already in her hand.

Kimi shrugged but ended up giving a slight nod of her head.
"I'm afraid so, Every choice has a consequence. Even if you make the best choice there's always a rebuttal, don't beat yourself up about it."
She pulled into the dorm parking lot and got out of the car. with much practiced ease she grabbed the shopping bags out of the back and closed the car doors with her butt. She carried the grocerys up to her dorm and let herself in, setting them down on the counter. Quickly she put away everything she had bought, but left the chips out for Trace.

Parker smirked, and stepped aside from the door so Max could lean up against it. He took her by the wrist, and spun her around so that she was pressed up against the door. Hovering over her, he leaned closer in so that their eyes met. "You're lucky I like you, " he mumbled. "Sweet dreams, love." If he didn't care so much about the girl, he probably would've asked to spend the night or something. But tonight, he had to get back to his room either way. Parker took a quick bite off of the other side of the licorice before spinning around and walking back down the hall.

Trace remained a few steps behind Kimi as they made their way back to the dorm. Once inside, he peeped inside Tess' room to check up on her. Instead of her being in her bed, she was now beside Gab. Good. He carefully closed her door and walked into the kitchen, grabbing the chips off the counter. "Off to bed?"

Max unlocked her door and watched Parker strut down the hallway. Her heart had faltered when he pressed her against the door and she was blushing now, but trying to act cool. Secretly she wanted him to stay the night, but she knew that it was more likely than not to end badly if he did, so instead she kept her mouth sure and closed the door behind her. Max's room held only what the dorm it's self came with, and her large suitcase. The fridge was empty except for a bottle of ketchup and half eaten strawberry jello cup. She stripped off her clothes quickly and headed into her shower, minutes later, she was clean and warm, snuggled under her blankets with her head against the pillow. The seven inches of licorice rope left sat on her bed side table to be eaten the next day for breakfast.

Kim Yawned and nodded once. She looked Trace over and felt a little bad for him, he had had a rough day, and deserved to be treated kindly.
"I'm going to crash on the couch tonight, Keep an eye on my bed, will ya?"
Kimi winked and took off her coat before laying down on the couch and tugging a throw blanket over her upper body. Kim would not take no for an answer, and everyone knew it, she would not let Trace spend the night on the couch.

As Parker exited the building, he kept a smile glued to his face knowing he had mad Max blush. The cold air pulled him into the night and far past the gates of the academy. There'd be little sleep for him tonight. First he'd hit a bar or two, possibly find some random girl to hook up with, anything was up for grabs really. It wasn't until he was halfway across the city that his wallet was inside of the jacket he gave to Max. He sighed, staring at the taxi driver that would soon be asking him for the amount the meter rang up. Anxious to get out, he scooted over to the right door so he couldn't grab a hold of him. Once the car stopped, the first mistake the diver did was to unlock the doors. The next was asking Parker for the money that he never had. Instantly, he threw the door open and made a run for it. With the driver yelling obscenities at him, he sprinted across the street and through a series of alley ways, and for a portion of it he could hear foot steps just a few seconds behind him. But as he neared a large sign that read "Crimson Club" the foot steps slowly halted. Parker pushed past the crowd that still hovered around the entrance, flashed the bouncer a grin and lost himself in the usuals inside the bar.

Trace stretched his arms, yawning, and walked over to Kimi's door. "You sure?" Even though he knew she was. "You could always join me?" He pulled off his coat and tossed it over to Kimi with it landing on top of her head. He laughed, but knew there'd be no way he'd join her either. Yawning once more, Trace pushed the door open and made himself comfortable in Kimi's bed.

Kimi tossed Traces jacket on the floor and gave an exasperated sigh.
"a**, get some sleep."
She muttered and rolled over trying to fall asleep as fast as possible. But sleep never came. It had been over an hour and Dem wasn't back. She should stay up and wait for him...

Max sat up when she realized that she had Parker's key. He would be locked out of his room. She got up, wearing her favorite warm green and pink polkadot night dress, She trudged over to where Parker's coat hung on her door. She took out keys and sighed. Silently she pulled his leather jacket over her shoulders once again and walked out into the hall. His room was on the same floor but across the building from hers but she didn't see him in the hallway. Curious she left her door open and walked down the hall to knock on his door. He wasn't in. She was a little worried. Where would he have gone? Max put her back against the door and slid down to sit on the ground, her knees pressed up to her chest. She had his wallet to so he couldn't have gotten far.

Death metal blared through the club, pounding at the walls to send it's violent influence outside the brick walls. Bodies squished against one another as the club bounced with ecstasy. Parker pushed his way to the bar counter and ordered an Ultimate Mudslide. Looking around the club he noticed a girl approach the stage with a single guitar. "Hmm..." He grabbed the glass off the counter and muttered something about putting it on his tab before making his way to the stage. A few minutes passed till the music died down and awaited the new performer to begin.

[somebody recap for mee? i'm so sorry, i just have aloot of schoolwork]

"Ugh, of course," I murmured, fumbling through my pocket for my keys. I knocked on the door to my dorm, "Hello? Tess? Anybody?"

"Hey, everybody," I said, clearing my throat and adjusting the two microphones. One man lifted his head from a table near the back and smiled, revealing a rotten row of yellow and black teeth, then laid it back down and snorted. It was a fairly full house, for such a considerably small bar, that is. I wondered for a moment while strapping on the guitar if this was the only joint in town for people like this, considering how large the campus was and how few liquor sales were allowed in the area. "How is everybody?" No reply, like talking to a wall. "Awesome," I mumbled. "I'm going to be singing 'Message From Your Heart', by Kina Grannis, one of my uh..." The lights pierced my vision, cutting off my thought, "um...personal, er...personal favorites," I cleared my throat. Here we go... The notes fell into place, and that was all I needed to come at ease.
"Don't break me I bruise easily
the source of both your love and misery
I am steady, beating endlessly
While you are dozing, dreaming pretty things
Lovely things
I don't work for free,
Please take care of me..."
At the end of the number I nodded and lifted myself from the seat, pretending that there was a cheering audience at my feet.

As the brunette played, strumming the strings ever so delicately I could almost instantly notice how much of an amateur she was. Her guitar skills were minimal and her vocals, although strong, could use some work. But, she was good. We do need more members. A lot more. Parker thought it over throughout the course of her song and once she was done he knew there wasn't much time left to ask her. Chugging down the remainder of his alcoholic drink, he clapped loudly once she rose from the stool. "Wooo! Encore! Encore!" He began punching the air above him, and looked around to those who soon joined in. He grinned up at the girl hoping for a smile back.

A loud knock at the door awoke the light sleep Tess had fallen into. She groaned, inching closer to Gab, if that was even possible at this point. Pulling the blankets up halfway over her face, she nuzzled Gab's cheek before gradually falling back asleep.
The darkness seeped in around her, consuming her ever so slowly. Within a second she was placed into a a new scene. Snow was cascading from the sky, turning to liquid once it hit her now stretched outward arms. tess began to spin around in a circles until she fell upon the blanket of snow. Her eyes eased closed and a soft voice whispered in her ears. "Why isn't anyone here with you little girl?" She didn't answer, confused. "Well? No answer I presume. Perhaps it's cause you're alone. You've always been alone, have you not? No matter who stand by you now won't be here in a years time." Still, Tess lay in the snow that began to collect over top her, trapping her underneath. She tried to move but to no avail. Panic rose over her, as she tried to push through the snow. The voice laughed, almost maniacally, it's tone turning deeper with the second. The snow picked up, piling up over her and began to fall over her face. Ice covered her lips and eyes preventing them to be opened. There was no longer the choice to open her eyes or to call for help. "Now you'll always be alone," the dark voice continued in between laughter.
Tess could feel the voice grow louder in her head, never ending it's torture. Her fists now clenched tightly and her breathing grew heavy, intensifying each time she tried to usher the voice away. With a shrill cry, she sat up, screaming. Her eyes wide with terror and her body quivering. Tears flowed from her eyes, landing on her hands that now gripped onto her face. Although she could feel her nails digging into her skin, she could only hold on tighter, begging the voice to stop. It didn't. She was back on the mattress next to Gab, out of the dream world, but the voice never left her. It's laughing and taunting never ceased...

A scream sounded from the room. "Tess!" I shouted, "Tess, what the..." I dashed for the forgotten spare key beneath our neighbor's mat, a clever idea if I do say so myself, and pushed it in the door. "Oh my..." My eyes must have turned to the back of my head and come back, forcing me to face the more twisted side of reality, when things become the opposite of what they should. Because she was lying next to Gab, whose top half was bare. Speechless, I stepped back and watched this wry reality unfold.

"Oh uh..." I took hold of the microphone to be heard by someone besides myself and grinned. "Thank you," I bit my lip and scooted off the stage, guitar slung around my back.

Bummed, Parker circled around the stage to the back door and casually walked in. It took a few seconds before he came across her, and stood in front of the only door that led from the backstage area, blocking it "Hey. You were great up there," he smiled, hovering over her as he tended to do to everyone. He hoped he wasn't intimidating her at all, especially since to her a random guy just blocked the only exit. Which to almost anyone who's alone would be a little frightening. "Although, your vocals could use some tuning and your guitar could use some lessons. Other than that you were quite exceptional."
PostPosted: Mon Nov 16, 2009 4:13 pm

I turned up my head and stared for a moment at the exit behind him. "Thank you, now if you don't mind I'll..." "Valencia! Hey, Val, Val, that you?" No, no, no. The voice behind me was too close to avoid, especially with this man standing in my way. I took a breath and looked down at my shoes.

Gab opened his eyes when he heard screaming. He was cold, his bare chest was exposed to the open air and he realized that the scream had come from Tess, she had also uncovered him when she sat up. Gab's thin arms stretched out to wrap around her in a solid embrace. He hushed her softly and closed his eyes. The young man didn't know what to do, but he knew that if he had a bad dream this would have helped him. "I'm Tess... It's okay. I love you. shhhh" He rubbed her back softly.

Kimi shot off of the couch when she heard Tess scream. She scrambled for the door where she was Demmy standing looking petrified and from the faint light cast into the room from the main living space she saw Tess being held by Gab. Kimi took Dem's hand and led him away from the doorway, towards her own room. "Share my bed with Trace tonight, or go back to your own Dorm, Don't bother them." She warned quietly.

"Are they...were they? What the hell is going on? I sleep with Tess..." I cut myself off, "I mean I...er...you know what I mean! That's my dorm."

Sleep wafted over Max's tinny frame as she sat against Parker's locked door. She yawned and her eyes closed millimeter by millimeter until she was out cold against the door. Her mouth slightly agape and Parker's coat draped over her shoulders like a cape. The young woman didn't snore, but she did slump ever so slightly. Eventually she fell over and curled up on the doormat like a cat or small child.
