Richard smiled warmly mouthing yes before going in for another kiss. Yet he was cut off by someone opening the door. Enty came bumbling in, ranting off to Richard in his native tongue. Richard cocked his head, slightly unnerved that his alone time with Lore had been cut short. "What do you mean act as translator?" he asked, still holding Lorey. Enty said something concerning Damian and Richard strained his neck to see if their also injured 'companion' was behind him.

If Lorey had ever glared, it was then. Being cut off by a knock just as their lips were touching... it better be good. Her heart sunk a bit when she saw Damian in his bruised and beaten state using the side of the door as a support. It was even worse when that secret glare was returned right to her once he saw Richard shirtless and her in her nightgown. Regardless, he reminded himself that Lorey was never going to be his in any way.
"I don't know what the bloody hell he is saying about Raquel," Damian mumbled. "He wanted me to follow... and here I am."

Richard looked to Enty who began going off a hundred miles per hour. "Before...Me?...Wanted...Enty for God's sake, Slow down will you!?" He shouted to the little alien. Enty sighed, and nodded as he tried to slow down.
"Engaddnada Richard...Eento Worlaxo tendo Police. Fruit." He smiled, rubbing the back of his head embarassed. Richard sighed but chuckled, looking up to Damian.
"He says, before we met, he used to help out the local police forces track down criminals. Most Arran's are known for their intense sense of smell. He was paid for his work with fruit." He chuckled and Enty nodded, looking back at Damian.
"Aradda no tunce' e la gornuusa Murderer hafsofa Calipso." He added, though paused a moment. Richard cocked an eyebrow.
"Well that I knew...He said that there was a woman he was supposed to find with the last name Calipso. He's pretty sure it was Raquel. She was wanted for murder." Enty nodded and Richard seemed half smug, half distressed.
"Unnto." Enty held up his hand as if to tell him to not jump to conclusions. "Elenado police fortuna, eh fortu murder entodan es triento 15." This made Richard stop cold.
"H-he said that they gave him older police reports to give him minimal background information. She seemingly didn't exist, just living on the streets...but her first murder was when she was...13? or..around 15." Richard seemed to rack his brain. "I remember briefly reading something on that. in my investigation for Rose...A young girl was found alone in a rather nice part of town. She was covered in blood, among the various parts of an elderly lady who we had witnesses confirm used to take care of her. We would have only questioned her and let her go if she hadn't been seen in the midst of the fight by neighbors and passerbys...that and I think she swore she didn't do it before running away. They never found her since..." Richard looked to Enty who nodded.
"Entu, hek la loki nah suno..." Enty seemed to shrug.
"He says that there were other accounts of murder, but she could never be caught or trialed...." He looked to Damian for a reaction to all of this.

Damian's eyes stared own at the ground in some effort to recollect himself. If he could only find the right way to say what he wanted to without sounding like he was desperately trying to protect her. Which, really, he was. "So... I fail to see any sort of evidence, other than a coincidence that she was there, and her running makes her seem as if she is guilty..."
Muttered, vain little sentence that it was, it said enough. Damian would not believe with his entire heart that Raquel was a murderer. Even if she had struck him with eyes as dark as the finest emeralds, it wasn't enough.
"How can we track her down?" he said suddenly.

Enty pointed to his nose. Richard sighed and explained. "If you have something of hers...Enty can track her. He's good like that..." He felt this was a ridiculous idea but couldn't say much. "Though I'd just let her go man...She'll probably just end up running again anyhow..." He said with slight disgust, leaning back against he couch.

Damian forced himself off of the door frame. Regardless of his foot or general state, his rage willed him forward. "Listen, you son of a b***h--" With a growl, his fist raised, and was so poised to strike Richard right across the jaw, until Lorey stood in the way.
She had risen to her feet, and with arms outstretched, acted as a human barrier between the two. "Damian," she said, rather slowly. "You're upset, we know that... but you have to go and rest. You're in no state to--"
"Shut up!" His breathing was ragged, but his eyes... they practically burned. "He has been slandering Raquel for as long as he's been in this house! Whore she may have been, but he does not even think of her circumstances! He only wants her to serve as his answer to something that may never be solved!"
Lorey stood in shock for a moment, before her own eyes turned cold. She had been told to shut up, to get lost, and such horrible things before. But never by anyone she had deemed a friend. Or even by someone who said they loved her. With a flourish of her hand, Lorey began the angry steps towards him.
"No, you shut up! You won't even consider that she's guilty. All you care about is having someone to coddle and be a hero to, when you can't even help yourself!"

Richard was more than willing to exchange more than a few blows here but stopped when Lorey stood in the way. He had never seen her go off on anyone like that. It just wasn't like her. But he simply stood back and let her do the talking. She was on a roll after all, and Damian needed a reality check.

"Coddle and... what are you talking about?" Damian was scared, though. The truth being laid out before him was too painful to look at. Not only that, but Lorey was
"You know what I'm talking about! For heaven's sake!" Lorey went to pull her fingers through her hair, but was stopped with a clunk by the bindings and splints. They were soon nearly shoved in his face with an angry jab. "You should be worried about who murdered your father, if it even was murder! And you should be worried about that insane woman who hurt us so! If Raquel ran, then maybe it was for a good reason, but Damian, you're just obsessing over her because it's a distraction!"
And there. Right there, he thought, was a place to return a blow.
"Oh, and of course you fell in love with Richard because of his good heart and dashing good looks?" he spat with a snide little sneer. "No, you ell for him because he was the only person to pick you up and treat you like the princess you never were allowed to be. You, Lorelee Burnheart, fell for an idea, and now you are terrified of the truth that this man is--"
"Where the hell is that even coming from!?" Had she even a spare hand, Lorey was quite sure she would have smacked him clear across the face. "Fine then, go chase after your idea that you can save her from herself! But do us both a favor and just answer me one question."
Damian stared her down, but couldn't bear to meet the hurt and angry eyes for more than a few seconds.
"Why did you say you loved me, Damian?" Such a small voice posed the question. The entire room seemed utterly silent, as if the very furniture was waiting for a response. "Why did you love me, or think you did? Was it because I was so sad and pathetic, with this... stubborn hope inside me all the time, that you wanted to be my prince? Is Raquel the next best thing because I'm not yours?"
Damian did not even answer. He had none.

Richard had heard enough. He pulled Lorey back gently, getting in front of her. "...I think you should leave." He said calmly though sternly, his eyes backing up his tone of voice.
Poor Enty was just stuck looking from one person to another, unsure of what to think. He finally reached up and tugged on Damian's pant leg, urging him to leave as well.
*lol i cant remember if Damian ever got dressed XD*

And he did. Damian did his best to seem straight-backed and dignified as he turned and left, closing the door behind him with a solemn click.
Lorey was silent. She'd received no answer, which to her was just as if he had screamed out yes, that he had loved her because he wanted to play hero. She was always going to be the frail, stupid little thing who could always just get by, but never be anything better. Or at least, that is how she felt, as she stood with her eyes downcast, and hair still wet.
Damian didn't feel much better. (we'll say he is dressed xD) He had numbly walked out to the living room where he sat down upon the couch with a wince and small noise of pain. But he deserved it. For all his money, he could never buy himself a scrap of happiness, let alone anyone else. Damian Centurion held his head in his hands, thinking of all she had said, and soon enough lost a great fight to keep a single tear back. It was only one, but it fell at his feet, where he stared for a very long time.

Richard didn't know what to say. He turned to Lorey, and placed his large hands on her shoulders, not sure of what to say really. He leaned down and kissed her forehead. "You ok?" he asked, knowing she wasn't but wanted her to talk.
Enty had followed Damian out to the living room. He stood a good 2 yards away, not really sure of what to do. After he had been sitting fora moment. Enty approached him. tapping his head. "Enty..." He pointed to his nose. "Raquel for Damian?" He asked, trying to help out somehow.

Lorey closed her eyes, very slowly shaking her head. "No." Honestly, was she supposed to be? The entire situation she'd found herself in was absolutely terrible, and at the same time, a complete dream. It was a nightmare. "I've wanted to ask him that for so long. I didn't think he would answer, but I almost wish he did. I've wanted to yell like that, too. And now that I have, I just feel terrible." Little footsteps brought her forward to him, close enough that she could bring her forehead to his chest with a little bump. "Everything is so wrong and right that I don't know how to deal with it anymore."
With great purpose, Damian picked his head up to look at the furry creature. And with an even greater purpose, he found himself unlatching the bracelet, and giving it to him. "I only wish to know if she is alright. That is all. I will pay you in.. fruit. Or however else you wish to be paid." So blank, he thought, just listening to his own voice.

Richard put his arms around her carefully and rested his head on hers. "I know...its just...hard..." He said quietly, not really sure of what else to call it. "Maybe you just need to do that more often...not the yelling part...but the speaking your mind part..." he encouraged. Richard hated Lorey having problems deep down that he couldn't help...probably in the same way he did to her...
Enty didn't want to take one of the only things that Damian had left of her. But he would need it. he took the bracelet carefully and nodded, patting Damian on the arm.

"Could I do it right now?" Already her voice was catching in her throat, but there was so much she needed to say. So much that she had kept to herself and said in little ways that didn't nearly reflect how she truly felt.
"Good luck." It was all he could say, or think of. Was Lorey right? he wondered. Did he just want Raquel back so he could take care of her? And did he really love her, in any real and genuine way? He didn't know. He just wanted her back in his life somehow, even if it was from a distance.

Richard nodded, sitting her down gently back on the couch. he sat next to her, her hands in his as he looked her in the eye. "Go on..." He said quietly...
Enty nodded before turning for the front door. "Entayo Unta." He called over his shoulder before disappearing out the front door.
