((I'd assumed you meant something else with the implants, in fact it would have been nice to know that he'd installed the haze, but whatever. And the cooking thing was actually well connected to Pen's character.))

"Your haze was fried with the implants, six months ago, when I'd gotten picked up for harassing an informant who wasn't doing his job and informing. Fancy little device, that the police force of quite a few planets absolutely adore. Scans over the back of your neck and kills the implants with a little pulse, harmless, painless, and very effective, but shouldn't be operated if the subject is being sustained by anything electronic. You should know the device, your company invented it." Pen was shaking by this point, beatings, rape, near death, death, resurrection and rejection by the one anchor in your life tend to take something of a toll.

"You want proof that I'm me. You didn't even look at my body did you? Do you even know how I died? Hell, most people want proof that their loved ones are dead, but you want undeniable proof that I'm alive." Pen ignored the warning to hold still and rolled up the sleeve of her uniform. The new arm was scar free, but the base of it still held a line of scarring from the original incident. "How many clones hold scars? How many, Jarred? While we're at that, how many facilities actually have the abilities to clone? Johachim destroyed that knowledge when he abandoned Osis, and even he didn't have the ability to gather knowledge from a death-damaged brain. It had to be scanned while alive or within a few minutes of death. And Why would anyone clone me? Why? I don't even know why they'd raise me."

You can't get knowledge from a death damaged brain. Pen paused in the middle of her rant. No longer clouded with her worry for Jarred it occurred to her fully why she'd been raised, and what her life meant. It meant they lost. Pen made a broken noise, and turned to leave, not caring about the weapons pointed at her.

((It had been far longer than forty minutes (several hours at least ) but being as he was passed out for most of it...I can see where he'd get that assumption.))

Pen stopped in her steps, turning around and walked back towards him. "Jarred," She paused a bit away from the stool, hesitant to reach out to him, "I could never kill you, even if I was some butchered replica, a clone of me. Something with my genetic makeup could never kill you."

Pen nodded, "It's how I got here. Sara kept me alive. It would have been smart to go to the authorities immediatley...but I had to make sure you were okay." She slowly began stepping away, distancing herself from Jarred. "Don't hurt him, please," She begged the KAOT as held her hands out and open, indicating no weapon.

Pen paled briefly as Jarred debated on fighting, but she took a deep breath as that fear was set aside. She didn't fight the cuffs, but glanced at the officer as they began moving to the door. "Could he ride with us? Please, the drama of death aside, I haven't seen him in months."

"Thank you," Pen said, giving the officer an appreciative smile. Her eyes then moved to Jarred, where they then stayed for the majority of the trip. As they made there way to wherever they were going, Pendari filled Jarred in on the events, as she remembered them. She touched on her trip to Thesys, then tried to skip over as much of the slave-market adventure as she could, her cheeks turning slightly pink at the memory, though skimpy slave outfits and Eric playing pimp couldn't quite be glossed over. She followed with a brief description of the plague and the other events that had led up to her death, though paused in thought at one point.

"Hattie never gave you the recording device, did she?" She asked, looking slightly hesitant. "I left it in case I didn't make it back. A sort of goodbye. It also held an explanation, of why I didn't come to Earth with you." She held a look of guilt on her face, "I'm so sorry, Jarred."

Eric started out the door, motioning for Hattie to follow, to Eric's car.

Meanwhile, Lee's comm began to beep again, the call coming from a small ship in high orbit.

"General Lee. This is Gate, of the Hunters. It seems as though we are coming upon a common issue in recent times. One, that, in spite of my previous assistance on the attack on your orbital defense systems, I am forced to beg your assistance in dealing with. The Kore has become a much larger threat than the organization that I had aided in the beginning, and I see now they have no interest in honoring their end of the agreement, or even assisting in my goal.
So, now, I come to you, enemy of my enemy, setting aside my differances and offering any and all aid required in dealing with this menace."

"You can move the Rioreet to my dad's garage. He's got one of the best equipped on the planet. We built the Star's Light and the Dialanche there, if that's anything."
