Miyu shrank a little but that was because she didn't really recongize the human (but then again she had never met Celebor's wife).

"Mi... there's.... Celebor..." she trailed off.

"And his kids.. .and what I would assume to be his wife," Cindy finished before yelling out Celebor's name.

Though she wasn't sure if he could hear her that far (even though elvish hearing was excellent compared to round eared folks).

At the sound of Cindy's voice, Celebor turned to look, and broke into a wide grin when he saw her. He waved cheerfully, then put one hand on his wife's shoulder and pointed in the direction of the others, and right away they and the children began to head over to them.

"Hello, Cindy!" he called out brightly as they drew nearer. "It's been such a long time! And Miyu! How are you doing?"

Rhea stared at the mixed family, transfixed by their appearances. Brown hair, golden hair, even blue hair ... she had never seen anything so strange before in her life.

"Doing fine," Cindy giggled, "You must have entered only a few moments after father and the others came through. They arrived yesterday."

And it had been a long time since she had seen anyone from Celebor's family, probably not since the wedding.

"What... brings you all here mi..." Miyu inquired.

She had to remind herself this was family (though family she rarely interacted with).

Celebor chuckled. "Well ... to be honest, the Seconds world isn't what it used to be. Aras kept begging to come here, and Niyana ..."

Niyana looked over the others, taking a long look at Aragost. "Celebor is always telling us about this place," she said softly, "and since we were having some troubles in the Seconds world, he suggested we try living here."

Celebor nodded, putting one hand on the head of his golden-haired daughter. "We're hoping that a change of setting and pace will help."

Aras kept her eyes on the ground, refusing to look at anyone at all.

Celebor smiled. "And before I forget any more ... you've not even met my family yet. My wife, Niyana ... and our children, Ruque, Kanis, Ruran, and Aras."

He chuckled softly. "Well, Aras you know."

Not that she was acknowledging them.

"Well... most of us know," Cindy smiled softly, "And let me introduce Rhea, she is Shael's and Adonai's daughter, I'm not sure if you remember them, it's been a long while."

Since Celebor had been here at any rate, he normally stayed with his family which made a lot of sense.

"Mi?" Miyu bent down to get closer to Aras, normally the girl was so chatty if she recalled, why wasn't she looking at them?

Rhea smiled brightly at Celebor and his wife. "Hello!" she beamed. "It's really nice to meet you!"

Celebor chuckled softly at Rhea's enthusiasm. "And you," he grinned. "I haven't seen your parents in ... a very long time. I think not since before they were married."

Rhea giggled. "That was a very long time before I was even born ... and I'm nearly an adult."

Aras didn't seem to pay any attention to Miyu, but rather just continued to stare at the ground silently.

"Come on," Ruran sneered at his sister, "quick being such a suck." He turned his eyes to Miyu, and his eyes were cold and filled with anger. "She didn't want to come, she just wanted to stay there with her half-breed mutt."

Aras looked up at her brother's comment, her eyes flashing angrily. "Take that back!" she ordered, her fists clenching at her sides. "You take that back right now, Ruran!"

Ruque stepped forward, his brow furrowed with worry. "Come on, you two," he squeaked nervously, "we just got here, don't fight ..."

"Mi...." Miyu frowned.

The term half-breed made her uncomfortable but probably because that is what she was, but then again in this day and age a good amount of Gaians were 'half-breeds' or not even.

She reached out to Aras, "It's okay, it's not a nice thing to call anyone, anyways mi...."

She couldn't imagine anyone like Ruran, not when he was Celebor's child.

Aras hugged Miyu around the waist and clung to her tightly. "It's not fair!" she cried, burying her face in Miyu's dress. "He was the only friend I had and I had to leave him behind! It's not fair!"

"Stupid mutt," Ruran muttered, shoving his hands in his pockets.

Celebor frowned and reached down to put one hand on Ruran's shoulder. "Behave," he said firmly. "We're guests here."

Kanis just watched in silence, now and again glancing up at Aragost.

Miyu wished she could help but as far as she knew all the children who lived in the area had grown up. There was no other children as far as she could tell....

"But you won't be alone mi...." Miyu tried to help, "There's a lot of nice people here... and I think you'll find new friends."

Though they might be a great deal older.

Cindy looked thoughtful, she hated to say this, but she didn't really like Ruran, even though technically he was her nephew, but his attitude was so... so contrary to how they were raised.

Then again maybe he was just going through a phase she decided.

"So will you be living here or at Haven?"

Celebor scratched his head in an echo of the manner he had always done as a young second.

"Ahm ... we're not sure yet, to be honest," he admitted. "We first thought Haven, but with the hunts always going on, and children being brought back, we thought it best not to have Ruran near them more than absolutely necessary - and especially unsupervised."

Ruran grunted and turned away angrily.

"So we were thinking," Celebor went on, ignoring his son, "that we might see if Ulani and Ulrich have room for us, just until we can build a house of our own ... since Mom said that the house here had been taken."

Aras sniffled and still hugged Miyu tightly. "But I want him ..." she whimpered. "But I'm never going to see him again!"

Cindy had to blink twice at Celebor's comment about Ruran, did she want to know? A tiny part of her said if she wished to continue being the boy's aunt she really, really did not want to know why Celebor had said that.

"Well they probably do seeing as all their children are living in homes of their own," Cindy giggled, "I don't think it should be a problem..."

Though she had an awful feeling keeping Ulani and Ruran or even Ulrich in the same room together might be bad.

Miyu wished she could have an answer for that, after all she knew there was a chance she might have never seen Aragost again, but it never happened. For the life of her she couldn't recall a time where she might never see a person she knew again. Well.. wait.. there was Arwen.

But there were letters.

"Well... maybe you could... write him a letter," Miyu suggested, "And someone from home can bring it to him."

Celebor smiled at Cindy. "Well, we're hoping. I wouldn't worry as much about Ruran if we were staying there, rather than at the ranch. And let's face it, there aren't as many children here for him to ... whatever."

Ruran was still listening to Miyu and Aras's conversation, and at Miyu's suggestion he let out a barking laugh.

"Yeah, right!" he exclaimed. "The stupid mutt can hardly talk, he couldn't read or write if his life depended on it!" He smirked at Aras. "That's what you get for hanging out with a wolf."

Aras's eyes filled with anger once more, and to keep from running after her brother, she hugged Miyu tighter.

"Celebor, could I be honest and say you're worrying me a bit?" Cindy finally inquired.

It didn't help that she could hear Ruran laugh and it wasn't a nice laugh as far as she could tell. What had been happening while Celebor had been living with his family?

Miyu was somewhat grateful that Grandpa wasn't around, she was pretty sure he would have whacked Ruran upside the head and said some not so nice things. That would be embarrassing for Celebor she was sure.

"It's okay, as long as you don't forget him," Miyu told Aras, "But you will like it here, and home's not too far away."
PostPosted: Tue Mar 31, 2009 8:36 pm

Celebor nodded at Cindy. "And I'll be honest and say that you've every reason to be worried," he replied dryly. "But you know what Ulani and Ulrich are like. They can handle him."

Actually, he was starting to get the feeling that Ruran was lucky Aragost hadn't done anything yet ...

Aras looked up at Miyu, her eyes filled with tears. "But Daddy says we might not ever go back!" she wailed. "And even if we do we're not ever going back to the Seconds world!"

Ruque stood beside Aras and patted her gently on the shoulder. "It's okay," he said quietly. "We'll find some way to let him know how you're doing, and that you're still thinking of him." He smiled warmly. "I promise."

"Someone is going to get whacked," Cindy replied back.

She was pretty sure of it, though when and how long it would be before the chaos began was debatable.

"At any rate it's wonderful to have you all here," she told Celebor, "Feng, Ryu and Naida will certainly be happy, in fact in some cases bouncing with joy. Father and Lin are off on a hunt so they won't be back for a while...."

Which worried her a bit but well... that was life growing up.

"And... someone from the family could tell him how you're doing," Miyu offered, "Some still visit the Seconds World."

Even though they mainly had their lives in Gaia really.
