Our show is "Phantom of the Opera." We have a danceline member playing whatsherface and a baritone player being "the phantom." We got one of the guys that wrote the highest scoring show of all time to write our drill for us. This made for lots of intense rehearsals. But it was fun. biggrin Our music is a direct transcript of Santa Clara Vanguard's '89 show. xd Our band director is an elitist and a perfectionist at times but he's really a great guy. I remember the low brass passing off "Tequila" before the first home game and they weren't playing it right for whatever reason, and he said "EPIC FAIL!" The whole band burst out laughing. rofl I don't know about your school, but most everybody(at least band people) say stuff like "pwned" "epic win" "epic fail" "for the win" "for the lose".
Edit: And! We got to wear some pimpin' phantom masks with our shakos/hats. Now that the season's over, wonder if our bd will let us keep the masks.

We did a Halloween show, mainly because the last game of the season was October 30. We got to dress up, which was quite exciting.
We played (in order) Toccata and Fugue in D Minor Monster Mash (our down field) Frankenstein Thriller Night on Bald Mountain
Here is the show if you really want to see it but the quality of the video is horrible (its the only version i could find on youtube) part one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tfmlp2BbQNA&feature=channel part two (this one cuts out on the last song) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJvfxo8WK7U&NR=1

Our show this year was "Sketches of India." It was really fun; the drill was awesome, and we even got to watch "Slumdog Millionaire" (the dance at the end was part of our show too!) We played a couple of songs composed by my band director's husband, and "Jai Ho."

Our show was entitled "Amen" based off of the theme of agreement.
It encorporated alot of music from the Silk Roads Ensemble with Yo-yo-ma. It was pretty neat cause we got to chant and stuff during the performance.
We recieved 7th at Nationals this year for BOA. It was a total blast and I don't think I'll ever forget this show... :3

Our show this year was ALIVE AND AMPLIFIED. Lol XD ANYWAYS, our first song was none other than Alive and Amplified, big suprise there. Then we played In the Midnight Hour, fallowed by Dancing Queen, Thriller, and Helena. During Thriller everyone put there instruments down except for the drummers who had a solo, and bass guitar (me!). While the drummers and I rocked out basically, the rest of the band did the Thriller dance. Our band is a total of 28 kids, including guard and one drum major, and we got third place at some big competittion...as you can probably tell by that, it was only my third year in marching band and I don't know a lot of the proper terms when it comes to comps. Either way, we got a higher score than some 100+ kid bands. This year was beyond epic. smile
