"The kinda s**t you find on your ttttttttttttt-vvvvvvvv~" The man kept singing, stumbling slightly as he stepped up a curb. He had almost fallen, not out of drunkenness, but just out of general mishap. He was about to go back and kick the cement ( this would be out of the buzz ) but his attention was caught by a crazy building fully of crazy s**t and doormen who looked like they were crazy.
"Heeey, a party!" He exclaimed knowingly, his party-senses tingling. The young man moved towards the door quickly, sliding the bottle out of the bag. His fingers quickly punched holes into the bag as he slid it over his head, affording him vision enough to toss the half-empty bottle at one of the guards. How did he know he needed a mask? Inexplicable party senses, of course!
"Keep it tight, cool cats." He'd wink to the doormen as he bustled through, daringly dashing directly to the sound of alcohol screaming his name.

*Kaiori glares until she feels Than is far enough away from her to stop her skin from crawling. Her reflex is to hold Apollo's hand tighter in her rage. His heart beat is slow and steady under her palm.* You're either too brash and cruel or now too feeble and mute, some people won't be happy unless everything is how they want. *She mutters softly to him, not wanting to cause more of stir, It simply looked like the king and queen were having some personal time. *
*Apollo would turn his head to her and smile crookedly under his mask.* Those sort of people are damned to live a life alone in whatever hovel they choose until maggots decide to visit. *The couple would chuckle softly before being met by their advancing children. Griffin would bow stiffly and Bell would dip down as well but with a certain fluid grace her brother didn't possess. After a small greeting and exchange of merriments the family would sit and greet other guests*
You don't deserve my company.*Ceres would lean away from the perplexing man. Smiling in a truly vile way she would simply back away into the crowds of people.*

Than silently chuckled to himself when Ceres so ungracefully departed from Breg. Poor guy probably didn't realize at all who he was talking to. However, Than was more than certain Ceres wasn't here just to make chat and have a good time, in the conventional sense. Most likely, he figured, she was after Kaiori or one of the kids. She clearly wasn't interested in the man-womanish King. Hopefully the Than and Ceres could complement eachother's plan. The only question was whether Than or Ceres would move first.
For whatever reason, Griffin seemed to be neglectful of Than's presence. Yet, Than doubted he could stay hidden for long, but if Griffin was anything like his father then he'd be too whipped and lazy to do anything about it. Regardless, Than's interest was turned toward the new attendee, none other than KB in the flesh. Or one of his fleshly bodies at least. After KB made his way over the the bar, Than moved to follow him, approaching the barstool nearest him. "Pardon me, barkeep," Than spoke out before KB had said anything. "If you could be so kind as to replenish my friend's alcohol, he'd be most grateful." Than seemed to be speaking for KB's obvious wish; soon after, Than sat down on the stool by KB and placed both arms on the counter. "Well, my old friend, I figured you'd at least show up to the party decently and get drunk afterward, but I suppose merriment can never come too soon for you." The scene would actually seem quite dangerous to anyone who could recognize what was really happening; Than and KB were sitting next to eachother and actually talking.

"A party..." He began, spinning around and propping out a hand. He made a gun and aimed it at the crowd, mumbling a soft pew pew pew. "WITH THESE PEOPLE?!" He exclaimed harshly, turning back to the bar to drown himself in booze. Truth be told, civility was nothing to the people all threatening one another and trying to ******** in plain sight. The young man had no time for it...?
He checked his watchless wrist.
Yep. No time... running short, running on fumes, last drop of water on parched lips, living on the edge... analogy analogy analogy. "Ya know, I know, we know, they know, ya know. So what's holding up the show...?" He questioned, shrugging as he glugged back more and more sweet bliss.
"Mck, AAH!"
Wiping his mouth off on his sleeve, he nodded. Things were dizzy, he felt sort of sick. He was drinking too much too fast, slamming back gulps with such ferocity that one might question his pace. He was voracious for the booooze. It was horrible, unsightly, but not entirely unexpected. The man had a bad habit of... wait... how was he drinking through the paper bag!??!
He'd propped up the edge of the paper to expose his lips, leaving him blind until he finished. That was when he tugged it back down by the edge, his eyes flashing at the young kid next to him through the eyeholes seriously. There was something in that off-color gaze that spoke volumes, of things that words would fail to convey. Doom maybe, or something worse... like a hopelessness one had expected would come a long time ago.
"...They're never gonna get it, buddy." He added quietly. EMO EMO EMO!!!

Xol looked at the giant of a man standing before him all clad in archaic looking armor. "Rookin, hm? Indeed. It's a pleasure." He looked at the mans outstrecthed arm and then back to his eyes. "You'll have to excuse me if I seem rude, but here in the BC formalities are usually a farse so I won't be shaking your hand. However, do know it's not to be disrepectful."
His gaze moved to and followed the belligerent man as he barged in with a incoherent tirade. "What a pity... they let anyone into these 'parties'. And here I was thinking this would be a formal, respectful affair. Oh well, I digress." Xol shrugged lightly and turned his focus back to Rookin. "Again, it was a pleasure, but it seems this lovely lady I have accompanied here would like to dance. That is something I can not turn down so if I may..." He nodded his head ever so slighty to Rookin, noting the odd behavior of his mace before sliding his hand along Phia's arm and clasping her hand in his own. His free arm would move behind to the small of her back as he led her off.

Phia raised a slender brow at the man that addressed her lover, she regarded him with little more interest than it took to properly assess him to be of little consequence before her attentions were drawn away by the drunk to her left. She regarded him with narrowed eyes and disgust. Why couldn't people who lacked control stay in the privacy of their own homes? She watched him for a few more moments before she felt herself being led away from her place to dance. She turned her vivid violet gaze to him and smiled. She followed him easily with the footwork and grace instilled in her from fencing. Her feet moved nimbly as she spun about the floor with him.

Than rested his head on his palm and chuckled at KB's remark about the unfashionable crowd that had gathered for the Prince and Princess's return. "True, they are pretty uninteresting unless you're interested in small talk." Than was hardly bothered by all of the drunken stammering, listening to it all like the poor sod of the group who'd been chosen as the designated driver, the mule that was there to make sure KB didn't kill himself unwillingly.
KB's gaze wouldn't be able to stir anything in Than, since it was impossible for Than to perceive it visually. It didn't matter to him either what KB perceieved of the yellow and red clown suit with the mask that had a fake, exaggeratted grin on it. Than's mask was different in that it had no mouth or eyeholes. There was no need for them with a blind kid who wasn't really interested in talking. He also doubted that Apollo would have picked up on what he'd really been asking about were there a way from him to see Than's mouth when he spoke. Kaiori had also apparently failed to spot the true intentions. "You've got that one right, KB. They're never gonna get it and I'm not gonna give them any more chances to."

*Kaiori would be all smiles and giggles, greeting people and taking the time in between to talk to her daughter. Apollo and Griffin would remain rather cold, Griffin seemed older as he sat next to his father, who would give him tips between greetings. The hot headed youth seemed calm and ever day more ready to take the great burden that would be his one day. Either the family hadn't taken the time to scan the room or they really could care less of Thanatos being there. Kaiori would however note some of the other BC members in attendance, and would cast them all a small happy smile if they caught eyes. The family as a whole seemed pleasant and happy for once.*

The young man seemed sobered in his own way, as he turned back from the bar to face everything in its splendor. Xol and Phia, that was a strange pair... slinking away to touch one another. The young man felt a twinge of pain inside, imagining for a moment the disarray that plagued the BC in its entirety. There was nothing sacred, no one safe from the taint.
He tapped his foot idly, and considered.
"Just make them remember... I suppose." He replied offhandedly, unsure of what to say. Nothing came to mind immediately, it was an awkward situation. The party was supposed to be a place to relax and have fun, a way to escape the angst. The young man simultaneously hoped for peace among the people, and for them to be hunted down to their dying breaths, laying face down in the dirt in vain attempts to escape. Peace in death, not undying, but tragic and relentless inaction. Silent gravestones devoid of secrets or power.
This was the dream. Peace, the end of war, could come only when all the participants had fallen. "And if things ever settle down, I suppose... if there's anything left but settling dust... maybe... just be happy. You were never a happy kid. Nobody really ever seemed genuinely happy here... not for a long time now." He lamented further, quietly. No need to ruin the conversations of the party with his and Than's bitter reprieve. They were the intellectual types who would consider the world flawed at every opportunity. The mask he wore, though impromptu, seemed to mirror the decay of things as a whole. A rushed silliness, last attempt at a laugh.
"I'm ready now." He revealed, shrugging as he stuffed his hands into his pockets and made his way to the middle of things. Might as well go out with a bang, ya dig? Center of attention, just the way he liked.

KB's odd sobriety made Than wonder if he was really drunk in the first place. If everyone else could pretend to happy, then KB no doubt had the capacity to feign merriment. Of everyone he knew from the past, KB was the only one Than couldn't place any sort of definitive label with, not even a changing one. Kaiori, Tegral, Xol, Truinthil, Apollo, and all the others seemed transparent to him, even his own father to an extent, but KB was too primeval to really be figured out. Maybe that was the only genuine thing Than could discern. "That's not entirely true," he replied, "I was happy when I first came here, I think. That might just be the nostalgia I guess. I think everyone else was probably happy at some point, before they decided that being happy wasn't cool, a disease they stick you in the asylum for." It wasn't a well thought out reply, just intuitive grudging. "Maybe if death had any meaning in this world anymore, they'd be more willing to live happy lives."
There was no explicit surprise from Than when KB got up and declared his preparedness for the inevitable. Truthfully, Than wouldn't have minded a longer conversation, but they would have probably gotten to caught up in their own views of the world to get anything out of it. "Thanks," was the reply he eventually gave, before turning on his stool and walking a few seconds behind KB. It was an odd sight to be sure, a clown following a man with a bag on his head. Once they were suitably in the middle, Than put his hand, his real one, on KB's shoulder. Than didn't mind doing this in the middle of everyone, since it was KB's personal request in return for doing this favor. "One thing though, happiness aside, I was quite willingly to call you a friend when we first met." Than blinked, and then chuckled a little bit to himself. "That's a horrible thing to say before doing this. I'll make it painful so you don't have to think about this pitiful conversation." From his hand, KB would feel the gentle and poisonous energy flowing from Than through his body, slowly building the potential energy in his body. At the moment when enough of it was accumulated, bit by bit this energy would become kinetic. The result was KB's body would literally start to 'blow out' like a tire all over his body. With loud 'pops' and 'booms' the blood and air in his body would explode out of his skin, and inside the same thing was happening to his organs.

"Is that i-iiirrk! I! I see now!" He exclaimed, smiling beneath his mask as the energy tore through his body. It was a beautiful creation to be sure, a thing that could not be stopped entirely on its own. It traveled through him, every inch, converting into something so basic it was largely overlooked. The ability to blow someone apart from every pore with a mere touch, Thanatos had grown in skill and imagination.
The pain was blinding, you see... the nerves were the last to go. Veins were bursting inside, darkening skin as the body filled with blood. The frame spasmed and bucked on its feet, but the steadiness and expedient nature of Than's ability kept him from falling just yet. This was not a swelling as one might expect, not like something filled to bursting... rather, it was as if an array of firecrackers were going off at a tandem. His skin burst apart to splatter the interior with speckles of blood and small pieces of flesh, clothing fraying where the mushier bits came free of bone. Those white protrusions soon splintered and burst of their own accord, part shards, part dust.
"Hahahaha!" He laughed between intermittent gasps of air and bangs, his throat exploding outwards violently. The geyser of blood that emptied itself there was broken by the constant explosions running down the chest, like a pot of blood left to boil, or overcooked in the microwave. Organs inside suffered a similar fate, such that by they time they were spilling from the holes they had become various thinned pastes or liquids. It was all red, all red even before his eyes popper out from the mask. He turned his head upwards, beholding the ceiling much as Than might, blindly with more blood shooting free of those empty sockets.
The laughter was a gurgling now, that same haunting glee KB exclaimed in every instance of his being torn apart. Never one that lusted for pain, but rather simply one that delighted in the thought of freedom. True freedom at last... Thank you Than...
Kneecaps went then, shot out. Blown apart to either side, the shins and feet fell to the floor to explode in their own right. There was a muted squish as the torso dropped a bit, somehow finding its place on those stubs. Falling face forwards, a palm slapped to the floor to hold the body up, that orbless masked face staring up at the crowd.
Couldn't they see what he and Than had seen, even in blindness?
This didn't last, because the palm exploded, the bones of the finger pried apart like those of a wishbone. The body fell under its own weight as the explosions rocketed up the arm, twisting and writhing through the remained of the battered torso. The laughter gave way to gurgling sobs, as much the cries of those patchwork lungs as simply the energy loosing itself in pools of blood. Bubble bubble bubble.
The heart went second to last, poetically, there was little there but a twisted and black cancerous bulb. The brain went along with the head, writhing and wondering. Would I die? Bullets and swords, explosions of cannons... all had done this much before. Would he die? Would the young man find peace, or would Than have to do this again and again?
The kid had better of gotten it right.
Either way, there was nothing left within mere moments. Simply paint of various colors across the center of the party, blowing outwards in a very evident pattern. The epicenter was darker than the rest which had merely been splattered, but there wasn't even enough of a shape left to say for certain a man had died.
A piece of paper mask fluttered down to stick on Than's forehead, almost as if smudging the dark paste there in a way to get the final word. Hehehe...

The people would scream and make a run for the exit. In minutes the ballroom would clear itself of life, with only the royal family remaining and those guests who could handle the sight. The guards would secure the area but lord knows they were useless. Ceres would stand in a darker corner watching with red and hungry eyes. Kaiori’s would match with eyes the color of fresh gore. Standing she leaves her shocked daughter, angry son and numb husband sitting in their thrones. She clicks her pretty little heels across the ballroom and kneels in the darkest part of the splatter. Dragging a lovely ivory digit in the grime and guts and moral fiber of one of her favorite people she lifts the single disgusting finger to her mouth and sucks on it, all the while staring at Than with a mix of hatred, pain and sorrow. Popping the digit out of her mouth she rises to her feet and stands in the room. Her heart not beating, her breath not sounding. It looked like she wanted him to say something. Something to prove this disgusting example as worth her time as worth his sacrifice or perhaps they just wanted to give her a snack. She hated pompous men and Than had become one, so high and ******** mighty. He should rape and beat a twelve year of girl and get over his little antsy sexual and mental frustrations.

Xol moved in step with Phia, easily in tune with her graceful dance. It was mesmerizing and at the same time a shock as it had been literally ages since he had danced. He had half expected to fall on his face and take his lover with him. With an abrupt stop, he bent her over backwards, pulling her back up into his waiting lips. A sly laugh escaped his lips and he spun her around, quickly moving back to her and transitioning into a Tango-esque form of dance. Close and sensual. This moment was dampered slightly by sudden noise of 'pops' and 'booms' happening behind him. His attention momentarily moved over to where Thanatos was seemingly murdering KB before all their eyes. Well... there went the wonderful notion of a peaceful everning. Not that it mattered much to him. While the scene was gruesome to say the least, he had no feelings towards KB one way or the other. He was of no threat to him and really was more of a pest than anything. The motive behind the action was the real noggin baker. Why? More importantly, why here?
"Good show Than! I didn't know there were going to be fireworks this evening. For future reference though, next time... no blood." Xol smiled and nodded curtly as he had done to Rookin. He wouldn't ruin Phia's night. As time dragged on it seemed that promise grew harder to keep... but it was something he would have to do.

Tegral exited the curtained enclosure as Than and KB started their little show. Kah and Rookin had shifted straight into combat mode, the mace hanging from his waist suddenly in Rookin's fist while at the same time Kah's beam rifle emitted a soft whine as targeting systems locked onto Than and KB. Blood sprayed the room, gore torn from KB's form spewed across the ball room while business men and women ran screaming for their lives. Oh how pitiful these people were, so naive in their little existences to the grand workings of things.
"So it's done then." Tegral murmured softly, hand in pocket. Slowly he started walking towards Thanatos. Something in Tegral made him want to mourn KB, but an even greater part wanted him to shake Thanatos' hand.
Messages flashed between Rookin and Kah. KB was gone, supposedly, that meant neither had any more reason to be on the planet and orders were orders. Should they stall? Hold their position until the Leviathan arrived to remove the Cradle from orbit? Ensure that KB is dead? Or should they follow orders...?

Than didn't move away from the disintegrating spectacle of a man. He'd willed this to happen; why should he be shocked? The clown suit he was wearing became splattered with blood and particularly sticky pieces of flesh which eventually slid off. Was he not obliged to stay by KB through this moment? Of course, eventually KB wouldn't be able to support himself any longer, when his legs eventually burst out. Than stayed where he was regardless. There was more than enough energy built up in him to keep him disintegrating even after Than was no longer in contact with him. The entire spectacle would take a few good minutes to completely be over, but Than didn't move. It still shocked him a little, the bliss he could feel in KB while they were connected. It was just another puzzle to KB's character, and Than didn't contemplate it too much. He simply felt happy he could afford KB that kind of momentary bliss.
The minutes passed for Than in thought, and the next thing he knew Kaiori was standing quite close to him. 'When did you get here,' he wanted to ask, but couldn't bring himself to do it. He didn't even turn in the slightest to acknowledge her presence, and Xol's appeal was ignored entirely. A short few moments later, he brought his hands up to the top of the costume and started taking it off almost ceremoniously. He slid it over his shoulders first, letting it fall more under its own weight. When did the suit get so damn heavy? Maybe it was because of the blood. When the costume was down to his ankles, everyone could see he was wearing another suit underneath. He had black dress pants, a full blue somewhat glossy dress shirt and square toe shoes, not to mention the black gloves. What's more was the shoulder bag Than had on him, full of the odd things he'd brought with him. Than actually had to hop on one leg a little bit, struggling to get the costume off completely. He could be heard muttering a little at the the difficulty, but eventually he took the bloody suit off, as if peeling his skin to reveal a fresh skin underneath. He held his arm out all the way and let the costume gingerly fall in the epicenter of the explosion that was KB. Then, squatting down on his toes, he slowly removed the clown mask. As Kai had missed the chance to see him at the Count's ball, this might be the first time she could see for herself that Than was completely blind; his single remaining eye had a greyish, milky cloud over its pupil to make it obvious. Softly, he placed the mask face up, the bloody piece of KB's paper bag mask still stuck on its forehead, on top of the crumpled uniform. An exaggerated smiling face to mark KB's newest death site. "I promise," Than began talking in a low voice, "I'll kill you as many times as I have to, KB." He slowly stood back on his feet, his arms hanging freely. For now Than paid no mind to Tegral. Although he still planned to deal with Tegral somehow in the near future, for the moment he wasn't intent on carrying out his plans to be rid of Teg. "Someday, he'll get killed again, and then he'll finally come back as the prophet he was always meant to be." There was a somber smile on Than's face. It wasn't a smile of happiness, but it was a genuine smile all the same.
