Mariata pulled her into a hug, patting her head. "It's alright darling, it's not your fault. Remember, it's a war." She said, rubbing Arianna's back.

*Ran shook his head and sighed* Look, my father and brother died fighting on the battlefield. I had the choice then I would have been there fighting too, but it's not your fault. Had I been one to kill some of your family in the war then I'd probably feel the same guilt in this situation but you just gotta let things go. *He looked to Arianna, hoping that his words made sense. Then he looked up to Mariata, looking for some help in cheering Arianna up* Do you think that sounds right?

Arianna began to cry a little. She couldn't help it, all teh guilt she was holding up was now coming out. She tried to think positive but compared to her guilt all the positive thinking would be just a waste of time. She listend to Mariata ad Ran....but coninued to cry.

Mariata nodded. "Yeah, besides, I'm the one who should feel bad. My grandparents helped start this whole war. So both of you have nill guilt compared to me." she said, nodding. She was trying to cheer them up by basically saying that many many lives were on her shoulders.

*Ran closed his eyes and stopped in front of Arianna, bringing the group to a halt. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small hankerchief, wiping some of her tears away with it* It's alright. I'm sorry for being such a jerk at first. *He looked up at the now night sky and sighed* If it makes any difference, I'd like you to know that I do like you and don't hold you responsible for my family. Normally I would have blamed any air human but...you just...you're different.

Arianna sniffed a little as Ran wiped some of her tears. She looked at Ran with her tear stained face. She let Mariata's and ran' words sink into her. And soon she stopped crying. She began to wipe her eyes of any remaining tears. "..I'm *hic*...sorry..*sniff* for acting like that."

Remmy laughed and ruffled Arianna's hair. "Don't worry about it, I'm sure it's just a natural reaction. I'm also sure that the only problem we have with it is that you're not being happy and cheery, right Ran?"

::Looks up:: No one can just sit at the table anymore. ::shaking her head like she has some clue as to what she's talking about. She's figured out by now that Ran's mother doesn't realize she's a Goddess, so she's trying to act as human as possible:: But then, it does make for a lively household, doesn't it? ::smiling happily::

*Ran nodded in agreement with Mariata and smiled at the two* Absolutely right. Besides, I think you look better with a smile rather than tears. *Ran smiled then realized what he said. He laughed nervously and stepped back* Well what I mean is...uh...you know, I think that it's better when people are happy. Yeah... sweatdrop
*Kyoko looked up at Belinda and smiled warmly* I don't mind. I think it's good that they all care so much for each other. *She took a gentle bite from a bread roll and followed it with a sip of water* Ran's never had many friends, so to see him try to help someone is really a reliever. *She turned slightly red and laughed softly* Oh my, what am I saying? I make him sound like such an aweful child. Forgive me.

Mariata grinned mischeviously. "Ran's right, you look much prettier when you smile than when you cry. Look, there's tear smudges all over your face!" she exclaimed, trying to be silly. She produced a wet wash cloth, how no on will ever really know other than being the demi-goddess of mischief has it's odd quirks. She wiped Arianna's face down. "There, much better. And did you notice Ran and I aren't trying to kill each other? I bet that'd make you happy, I know it would make Belinda happy since she scolded me for beating him up." She was still grinning and she rubbed the back of her head. "Sorry about that by the way Ran-kun, I sort of lost my temper. But, my mum was an air human so I'm a bit touchy about that."

*Ran rubbed a hand over his face and looked up towards the darkening sky* No, it's alright. I suppose I deserved it in one way or another. *He closed his eyes and scratched his head* I guess we were all a little mixed up at the moment. But at least we're here together, right? Or something like that... *He tried to forget the innocent girl he had attacked at the time, and quickly remember the object that flew from the package. He would have to find that tomorrow. Ran smiled lightly and placed a hand on Arianna's shoulder, looking at the two of them* Come on, let's head back before my mother begins to worry.

Arianna gave a small smile at Ran and Mariata. But nearly blushed when Ran said she looked better with a smile rather than tears. She was greatful for Mariata for whiping her face with a cloth to get rid of her tear stains as well as the two not fighting. She began to feel her guilt begin to fade away once again. As well as feeling her heart leap with happiness, that she had friends now. Considering much of her childhood she had not one friend but now she had three. Ran, Belinda and Mariata. She gave a nodd to Ran for going back inside before his mother began to worry. Then gave Mariata a hug then a hug to Ran as her way of saying thank you for cheering her up greatly and that she was cheerful once again.

Mariata smiled, hugging back and then after Arianna hugged Ran she looped their arms again and started walking back towards the house. "Still can't believe you are Kokyo's son. She was always talking about you but I never even thought about it. Your mum is so happy for you though, it's sort of funny. I'm glad I finally got to come visit though, your mom was always inviting me. I usually had to decline and all that but today turned out that I could. Probably Belinda's fault." she said, chuckling gently. She didn't giggle, the demi-goddess of mischief and chaos could not giggle, but chuckled she could and she quite often did.

I mean. . . he couldn't have accepted an Air human so freely given his history with them. ::said with a nod:: It just takes some people longer to be able to get along than others. Most of the time it's worth the wait, though. ::happily as they come back through the door smiling::

*Kyoko smiled at Belinda warmly and nodded her head* He is a good boy, he's just a little quick to judgement is all. I wish he would think things through a little more but I do suppose that he got that from his father. *Kyoko sipped more of the stew then smiled brightly as the three came back inside. She was even morew suprised to see that they all appeared happy and were walking with looped arms. It was a very pleasant sight to see*
*Ran got a little quiet as the three of them walked back into his home, arm in arm. This was definitely a strange day of events but both Belinda and his mother seemed quite happy to see them come back. He nodded his head in apology to his mother then sat back down in his seat*
