Attimasc shrugged, "Eh, mostly. I was really wondering how you kept your physical form from disintegrating, how your medicine works, I guess," he looked around, "Mind if we make a quick stop at my pool? I would like to pick up some things, they could help, if any is needed,"

"Sure sure. It's on the way, kinda. We'll just need to take a little detour." Shadow changed course and began leading the way. She knew every inch of these woods. It was impossible for her to get lost.

Shadow looked over her shoulder at Attimasc.
"Magic vampire? Well, what the hell is that?"

Attimasc smiled, "It's a little bug, demon, thing that I created or found, I think leech might be a better word. Anyway, the thing will latch on to the first being it finds, this does affect those things without physical bodies, and drains the magic out of them. To mortals, this is not very dangerous, just weakening those that can use magic, and givinge the rest flulike symptoms. But to magical creatures especially those made of magic, like shadows, spirits or demons, it can be deadly. I have never used this for real, just as experiments on volunteers, so this is mostly speculation." he shrugged, "That is what I know. Oh, if the victim isn't dead when the leech is detached, it will regenerate what it lost, if it has the ability. mortals can, but, oddly, many spirits can't, don't know about shadows,"

Shadow grimaced.
"Regeneration is not one of the magical things shadows can do. Sure, we can jump into a big puddle of shadow and rebuild whatever we lost due to injury, but it's foreign and uncomfortable. For example, the matter that makes up my left foot didn't originally belong to my body. My foot faded about two thousand years ago, and I had to graft on pure shadow just to make it stay on. Do you know how hard it is to find pure shadow? Very. I don't think there's much left in the world today. Anyway, my foot itches constantly. It's gotten better over the centuries, but it still itches. I've learned to mostly ignore it...but..." Shadow reached a hand into the shadowy puddle that was her lower body. "I have to scratch it every now and then. Ooh...that feels good..." Shadow withdrew her hand and frowned as she flung a few peices of shadow off of her fingers. "And what's really annoying is when some of it comes off. Yuck...anyway, main point is keep that thing away from me. Keep it in a jar. A thick glass jar. Then put that jar in a jar and so on."

Attimasc frowned, "I didn't mean taking away from your substance, I meant that it would drain the magic out of you. It may drain the magic out of your pills and send you back to your realm, or it may turn you into an ordinary, nonsentient shadow," he shrugged, "I honestly have no idea, I have never met your kind before,"
