((ALRIGHT.))

Cain laughed as he punched through nothing but air. A line of flame followed after his knuckles. He looked down, still following through with his punch and grinned at the sight of his wings.

"Showing your true colours, little bird?" He lilted and watched him leap back. Cain crouched and watched him like a cat interested in a particularly interesting piece of string. He ran his tongue over his teeth which seemed suddenly very sharp.

When he ran over to Talen Cain looked very bored. "You're starting to get on my nerves." Is all he said.

Talen pushed himself up on his elbows. "Fine." He said. "I can take a hit." And that was perfectly true. "But I'm not help in this kind of fight. Seriously. This s**t is messed." He laughed as light heartedly as he could, but then Cain was on them, a fistful of Abel's wing in a powerful hand.

He as more himself than ever. Horns grew back from his temples and dark markings marred his face and arms. A particularly cat like tail swayed impatiently from side to side.

"I'm not going to give you the chance to run again, Talen. We're done. So get out."

Talen didn't seem to need to be told twice. He got up and shot passed him and vanished.

Cain smirked after him. "Some friend." He jerked his feathers hard. "Let's you and me play some more." And bore into him once more. "I WANT THIS TO BE FUN, ABEL! Don't let me down now!"

Talen could never tell anyone how ashamed he was at that moment, it was a serious blow to his pride that he had so carefully constructed. He had always been able to take care of himself but somewhere he was sure it was the right thing to do, and he definitely wasn't leaving Abel to face Cain alone. He ignored the burning in his legs and lungs and ran to his house where he hoped Lilith had gone.

Once he was there he burst into his house, breathless and damp.

((LALLALALA. OKAY.))

((Dun dun dun. And oh my gosh! I am so excited cause I am planning a surprise birthday party for a friend! It's so AMAZINGLY EXCITING. Hahaha...thought you should know. D: ))

Abel smiled a bit when Talen pushed up. "Good...good..." He whispered and noticably relaxed before Cain grabbed one of his wings. Wincing he tried to tug away from him but failed. He was no match for Cain in physical strength, nor anyone really. He still was at a loss of what to do. Either he didn't fight and get beaten up like nothing he'd ever felt before...or fight...and have gult on his hands and someone's pain as his fault.

When Talen got up, Abel's eyes watched him before he turned around. As Cain ripped at his feathers he pulled himself away from Cain, the feathers coming out as he twisted. "I told you...I won't FIGHT you." Abel yelled, this time sounding a bit more angry, now that Talen was gone there was only himself to worry about.

He breathed out, feeling sweat bead his forehead, mixing with his blood. He folded his wings against his back and closed his eyes.

---

Lilith had been sitting on the edge of the couch, letting Saul talk to her about whatever he felt like. She wasn't one for talking, she always did the listening, every now and then she'd put in a word or nod to let him know she was still awake and still listening.

When the door flew up, Lilith looked up with a curious look. "Seems like they're home." She said and stood up, walking towards the front door, only to see a very disgruntled Talen, looking not too well. Lilith's face darkened. Then she noticed Abel was no where to be found. Her eyes brightened and she clenched her teeth with a narrowed gaze.

"Where are they?" She said, voice dripping with ice and the air around her dropped a few degrees.

((Lololololol. *posts*))

Cain's fist gripped at the feather's now in his hand and his eyes flashed maliciously. "That's more like it. Now stop barking and start biting." He bared his teeth into a terrible smile and the feathers in his fist caught aflame and withered like burning matches. He released his fist and their ash blew away in a breeze. Flames erupted from his clenched hands and licked at his devious features. "Because otherwise I might actually feel bad beating the living s**t out of you."

And he started in on Abel again more viciously than before.

((Vague fighting scene is VAGUE. *laughs*))

Saul struggled to sit up on the couch doing his best to peer through the hall that led to the front door. "What is it?" He called, eyebrows furrowed.

Talen was still panting, but felt his sweat feeze at Lilith's sudden mood change. He gasped a moment more but forced himself to speak breathlessly. "The old house by the water." He choked.

Saul was struggling to the doorway now sensing the trouble of the situation. "Talen. What's wrong?" He leaned against a wall.

Talen shook his head at the blonde.

Saul glanced once at Lilith and decidedly didn't speak more.

"I'm going with you." He said to Lilith.

((LOLOL THE END.))

Abel licked his lips, feeling the blood touch his tongue. It tasted strangely sweet, nothing like what he was used to when he was still alive. Against he wiped his hand over his face, ridding it of more blood as he watched Cain talk and burn the feathers in his hands. Abel took that moment to catch his breath, trying to think of what to do. He still didn't want to fight, the only time he had ever fought back it had been for someone he'd die for, and after he had the guilt had been too much on him.

He knew he should. There is always that instinct within a person to defend themselves by fighting or fleeing...and he couldn't really run away from Cain, he wasn't fight enough by any means. "I won't-" But before he finished repeating what he had been saying for a while now, Cain was on him again. Abel was driven backwards. The punches and burns lined his arms, eventually he gave up trying to block Cain, his arms hurt too much.

His mind folded into itself and he noticeably shut down. He let himself fall to the floor, body loosening. White wings drooped onto the ground as he felt Cain continue to hurt him more, but they felt lessened by his lack of care. It didn't matter anymore. Talen was gone, he was safe, Saul was with him, and Lilith too. Everyone was safe. There was no one else to worry about, so why bother fighting back?

((Abel is so depressing. D: Goodness. I want to give him some happy pills. Hahaha. I think he'd have been more willing to fight back if someone else was in danger. Because he's like the most extremely selfless person in the history of history. So much that it's NOT good.))

Lilith turned around when Saul walked in. Her eyes narrowed at him and she walked towards the door. "No. You aren't. Both of you are staying here. I hardly think you could do anything. You don't...I don't want you to." She said once and headed out the door. Her fists were clenched and her teeth scraped together. Beating someone up was one thing...but going to such an extent that she KNEW Cain was at now...that was something completely different.

((I figured I'd give her a bit to get there...))

((Hhaha, I've sucked lately. D:...))

Cain seemed obviously frustrated as Abel seemed to fall limp and give up. He eased up and leapt back, hands clenched at his sides.

"You're BORING me, Abel." He said and paced back and forth, his tail thrashed behind him. "This is BORING. What is this whole NOBLE thing you're pulling? When I hurt you I want a REACTION. I want anger! I want sadness! I WANT SOMETHING! YOU'RE GIVING ME NOTHING ABEL!" He thrust forward and kicked him hard and jerked back. "GIVE ME SOMETHING."

He drew back and punched him again. "Where are you?! I want you HERE!" He yelled in his expressionless face. He grabbed his shirt and threw him to the ground and continued to pound him. "I WANT YOU HERE!" He shouted.

((hahaha, what a selfish b*****d. hahahahaahha))

Saul seemed taken aback and somehow touched at the same time as Lilith walked out the door. He stared. Talen glanced at him and half grinned, it was hard to smile thinking of how he left Abel to fend for himself.

"But... what can she do?" Saul asked Talen, but somehow he knew if anyone could control Cain, it was Lilith.

Talen glanced at his friend. "A helluva lot more than I can do." And he turned to follow after her.

"If you're going, I'm going too, Talen."

Talen turned aorund, impatient. "You CAN'T. Have you seen yourself?!"

"Have you seen YOURSELF?" Saul shot back.

Talen closed his mouth.

"I'm going too."

Talen stared intently at Saul. He stared back.

Moments later they both headed out the door after Lilith.

((You can decide if she notices or not XD LOLOLOLOL. I'm going to try and post more than once today D smile )

Abel stared at the ground as Cain roared. He studied his upturned hands, watching some blood drip from his face and onto his palms and finger tips. Twitching his fingers he let the drops roll along his skin. The intense concentration on his hands let him escape from the pain his body would have felt if his mind weren't drawn on a single thing. There were ways he had learned to not feel pain, and one of them was to put everything, focus all of yourself into one point, one single insignificant thing and than the world around you disappeared.

When Cain kicked him, Abel tilted backwards at the force, eyes moving upwards and meeting Cain's gaze for a moment, a strange look in Abel's blue eyes. It wasn't exactly pain or sadness, but something else. A single feeling skimmed across the surface in that second. It was a foreign look on the boy's face. Just a flicker of his lips raising and eyebrows knitting. A look of loathing revulsion. And it was gone as quick as it had come but his eyes still were on Cain.

His eyes were dull as Cain grabbed him and threw him to the ground like a doll. His wings flattened against the ground in a twisted, painful way. That distant, dull stare remained on Cain's own eyes as he shouted.

((I think that's creepier than a lot of things. D: *shudders* I think I might make Abel actually do something next post...I THINK...if it fits well.))

Lilith was only down the street when she sensed Talen and Saul following her. For a minute she tried to ignore it, knowing it was pointless to stop and yell them off. Once Saul got to where Cain was he'd understand it wasn't safe in the least. Then her thoughts caught up with her and she turned around abruptly, eyes watching the pair of boys coming after her.

"I told BOTH of you to stay!" She said strongly, eyes narrowing dangerously at them. "Do you not understand English? Or am I speaking jibberish? You two need to stay." Her cold eyes shifted to Talen and she frowned. "You saw." She stated simply, having sensed that fear on the boy. "You'll just get in the way." She turned around again and started into a run, legs working fast and hard. After a second she disappeared around the corner and was gone.

((If you do post again, I'll be happy. Hahaha. xD Cause I am bored...and I DO NOT want to do homework. I tried...and I was lost.))

((LAAAAALALALALALALA.... *rocks back and forth*))

Cain just caught Abel's expression of loathing. It brought that familiar smirk to Cain's face. He grabbed Abel's by one of his wings and hauled him to his feet so they could meet face to face.

"Someone in there, little bird? I saw something... there for a minute." He searched his eyes. "What will it take to get him out?" He wanted to know. "He'd be more interesting, I'd bet." He drew back and hit him again and again. "Maybe if I break your face."

((LOL. Cain... you're so............ yourself.))

Talen and Saul stopped in their tracks as Lilith turned. Saul took one step forward as she spoke. Talen didn't lower his eyes when she looked at him. Saul glanced at him, eyebrows furrowed.

"Saw? Saw what?"

Talen watched her run off and continued to follow after her. "You'll see." Is all he said.

"What's wrong?"

"I have to be there for Abel." He said over his shoulder. "I wouldn't be his FRIEND if I didn't go back, Saul. You understand, don't you?"

Saul watched Talen's back and then jogged to catch up. He put a hand to his shoulder and walked right along beside him.

((LOL. OKAY. I KEPT MY PROMISE. Yay me.))

Abel felt everything starting to boil inside of him. As Cain pulled Abel up by his wing, it continued to boil. Everything, his emotions, his memories, his problems, it all mixed together to heat into an explosive mixture. He did his best to swell it, trying to push it down and swallow it deep. It felt sickening to him, it only made him remember how he used to feel all the time, trying to keep everything inside of him, even his spirit, cool, distant, untouchable.

He tried to close his eyes as Cain spoke, swallowing heavily, that feeling beginning to rise, boiling faster and harder. After Cain started to punch again, it spilled out of its container. Everything inside of Abel exploded. His whole face cracked from its distant look and his eyes flared when they opened. The aura around him began to glow and when Cain threw another punch Abel threw his hand up and caught it. The energy that he had constantly tried to hold back was leaking out at a steady pace.

Something inside just snapped and for the second time in his existence he began to fight back. At first he just punched, but then he got so heated up and so frantic that he started to flail and kick along with his punches, not even trying to aim at anything. Tears streamed down his face amongst it all, an overwhelmingly painful look in his eyes.

((Hahaha...I would do that too if I didn't let anything out. D: It's not healthy...obviously.))

Lilith had finally got to where Talen had said Abel and Cain were, immediately she felt the heat and saw the steam and flames. The only thing odd to her about it all was a strange soft lightness to everything, as if another power was competing against the hellish strength of Cain.

Without a second thought Lilith ran over and when she got to the scene she stood dead still in her tracks. What she saw...she wasn't prepared for. Cain wasn't only using his power, wasn't only letting his true nature show...he was fighting against Abel. This wasn't what was really surprising, what was surprising was Abel had wings, was glowing...and was actually throwing punches, kicks, even scratches at Cain.

Lilith's eyes widened and she felt compelled to both stay in place, and also break up the two of them. Her foot moved forward one inch and than stopped, eyes starting to glow red.

((Hahaha, I'm actually going to POST NOW. It'll be CRAZY COOL.

AND ABEL FIGHTS LIKE A GIRL~!!!..... <3 *hugs him*))

When Abel seemed to finally do what Cain wanted, it wasn't exactly what he expected. Well, at first it was. He drew back and flashed the angel a devious smile as the angel seemed glow with that inner light of his. He felt the fist that Abel had caught in his hand burn. There was an aura so bright all around it made Cain's eyes water, but he clenched his fists with anticipation.

What happened after that seemed to turn Cain off. He stood there, motionless, expressionless as Abel punched and flailed and kicked. Even when he hit him or managed to catch him across his face, he stood there, completely still. Abel at one point flailed so hard he struck Cain across the bridge of his nose and drew blood, but he didn't twitch. Cain was watching Abel's face.

It was then that Cain reached out and gripped Abel's wrists and stopped him. "It's hard to break something that's already broken." he said and drew away from him. He was watching his tears, face unreadable.

Roughly he shoved Abel in the chest and twitched his head in his sister's direction. Seeing her he drew his mouth into a snarl.

"It's over." He said.

((hahaahaha, I see. I see what you did there... wait... no I didn't... I dunno why that would bother Cain. BUT IT DID.))

Talen and Saul arrived not too much later after Lilith. It didn't matter that Saul was still pretty roughed up, Talen still knew all the quickest ways to get anywhere in the city. However, Talen wouldn't let Saul any nearer than they were now (as an after thought for Lilith), an alley across the street. They could see Lilith's back... and to Saul's horror and confusion, the fight going on between Cain and Abel.

"I think I knew..." Saul said about Abel. "But I didn't know..." And he didn't finish.

Talen was crouched low, lips pressed firmly together.
PostPosted: Fri Jan 30, 2009 8:02 pm

Abel tugged instantly backwards when Cain grabbed his wrists. He yelled something out in German towards Cain and squirmed around violently, pulling back his teeth. His chest was heaving up and down. Not a single rational thought crossed his mind as he stared at Cain, only memories. All of those memories that repressed him, kept him chained, all were flickering in and out of his mind. His emotions were so mixed together he couldn't even comprehend what he was feeling. It was so much that it almost felt numb.

When Cain pushed him back Abel was about to throw himself back at Cain until Lilith was in front of him and pushing him down, not violently, but sternly. Abel's hands threw outwards, trying to get Lilith aside, back handing her across the face. Lilith seemed not phased even as it burned her skin. She snatched Abel's hands and held them, staring him in his wild blue eyes.

"It's okay now, Abel. You're okay. We're here." She tried to say but Abel seemed in another world, tears were streaming down his bruised face, mixing with blood and sweat. He was like a scared cat, completely wild, lost, and dangerous. "Abel..." She whispered but it seemed pointless. She pushed his hands against the ground and ice formed around them, pinning them so he'd not be able to get up and go at Cain again.

Lilith stood up and examined her hands which were burning from touching Abel. She then looked over to Cain, eyes turning from concern to ice cold. "I don't..." She paused and gritted her teeth, eyes burning red. "I can't even talk to you." She hissed, voice dripping with a stinging bitter cold.

((YAAAAAY. KAY POST.))

Cain seemed to stare right through his sister, but physically he was more subdued. The flickering of flame that had been at the tips of his fingers vanished in her presence. He uncoiled little by little, but his mouth remained in a snarl. He paced back once, twice and turned to face her. Somehow he looked like an animal that had been struck.

"I can't help it, Lilith!" He shouted at her. "How can you even..." He stared around her to Abel. His eyes burned. "You've seen what he is!" He said. "You make me sick." He said with venom.

((lololololol, at least he's not setting things on fire now. YAAAAY...aay.))

Talen glanced at Saul when he heard him slide into a sit. "What's...?" But didn't finished what he was saying. He had seen it too, hadn't he? What Lilith had done, what her brother looked like. Not clearly, but clear enough.

Saul was staring at his hands.

"Saul...?"

"Abel needs us right now." He said, looking up at Talen. "How are we supposed to get to him?"

((I dunno D: Maybe next post. *laughs*))
PostPosted: Sat Jan 31, 2009 9:03 am

Lilith continued to look her brother in the eye, it was almost just a reflex now.

"You can't HELP it?" Lilith said looking incredulous. "Oh, PLEASE! If you were as strong as you THOUGHT you were, you COULD help it. Only the weak go around trying to prove their strength, only the strong don't have to." She said with a narrow of her bright red eyes. She then looked towards where Cain was, seeing Abel who was still struggling and saying things in a language Lilith didn't know.

She looked back to Cain and took a breath. "I make YOU sick? Do you realize how many times I've had to put up with you and not KILL you? If I weren't your sister I'd have probably killed you long ago. But now, I've at least had some dignity not to lower myself to your standards." She clenched her fists and pushed back the anger inside of her, not wanting to let it do what it did to Cain. "Why do I bother with Abel, you mean? Why do I not go around trying to kill him because he's a supposed enemy of us? Because I want to somehow make up for my mistakes. I've seen what's become of me and I hate it. I don't want to be like you Cain. That's why." She tilted her head up and walked closer to Cain.

"I may be your sister, and I may have to refrain from killing you. But at least I don't have to BE like you. Sometimes I just wish you'd see the same way I do. I'm the only one who's seen those TINY moments where you just let your guard down...why can't you let anyone else see that?"

Cain quietly smoldered at her words. "I had to Lilith! I HAD TO! I can't stop being what I am!" He was pacing again, rage boiling within him and he did nothing to smother it. The only thing that kept him at bay was his sister's cool presence.

And then he laughed. "You not kill ME? Don't be cute." He snapped. "You know we're the same, you and I. You forget that... you think you're BETTER than that, don't you? You and me... we're the same. Evenly matched..." His words had an edge to them, a spark to kindle a fire. "I couldn't kill you even if I wanted, and you could NEVER kill me."

And then he drew back and looked hurt again, but he came back angry. "YOU ARE LIKE ME." He insisted. "You can't STOP being what you are! Why can't you be like my sister and not like my enemy?" He clenched his teeth and made violent motions at the air. "You ARE like me, you will always BE like me, and being nice to this..." He glared at Abel again, but wouldn't go near him, ", giving HIM kindness WON'T CHANGE WHO YOU ARE, LILITH. You're just as damned as I am!"

((I HAFTA SEE WHEN THERE WILL BE AN OPENING FOR THEM TO MOVE IN AND GET ABEL D:<<< ALL CAPS.... I need to go to work... looololololol.))
PostPosted: Sat Jan 31, 2009 10:15 am

((Awww...work. :< Sounds like fun! Hahaha.))

Lilith was motionless as Cain spoke to her. Her jaw moved side to side as she ground her teeth together. At his last words she seemed to freeze even more, the air around her getting cold, her breath visible in the air. She moved closer to him, staring up at him with intensely cold eyes. "I may have ONCE been like you. I may have used to only feel hate. But now, I feel nothing. I feel absolutely NOTHING. So anything you say to me now is useless, Cain. You can't make me feel less than what I know I am. You've lost control over me." She took his chin in her freezing cold hand. Upon impact on his burning skin evaporation and condensation went into the air as it hissed like a hot pan meeting cold water.

"If I could care about people, feel compassion towards people, I still would for you. But right now, I think the only way I can EVER be better is to get away from you. You're holding me back." She finally let go and took a step back. "Maybe without me there you'll finally see the error of your ways. At least that's what I can try to hope. But I'm done." Her eyes flickered away from him and turned around to get Abel and take him home.

"I'm done."
