Lindsey hooped down from next to him, a jewlery bow tightly box tightly in her hand-she pulled out a small hertshapeed dimond necklace "Good thing Jon could tell where this was" Serrenedy grabbed it iimedietly

"It's delicte, gramie gave it to me yesterday for my fourtenth B-Day" Lindsey's eyes widend again but she didn't say anything, only grbbing the discarded spear and putting the jewelry box in her backpack

After Erik and Jon had gotten everyone out of the city and to safer territory, Jon turned to everyone and spoke. "I have heard of a new weapon being built by the Crowns. It is called the SporeFall Cannon. It is like the naturally occurring disease on this planet, except that it's effect targets men, while making women immune. The Cannon will be used to spread disease that effect men, because the Crowns know that 90% of the resistance movement are men." Erik looked worried. "Is there a way to stop it?" Jon nodded. "I have heard that the Cannon is only halfway complete, and is under construction at the East Dock of the town we just left. I propose that me, Erik, Karoline, and perhaps Serrenedy as well go to dismantle this device before it is finished."

Jon turned to Serrenedy with rage in his eyes. "NO! You don't know what this virus truly is! This virus used to be good, it gave powers to those it infected, but for some reason, the virus became corrupted. Something happened to the virus that wasn't supposed to happen, it became unstable. It corrupted the people it infected, it turned every last infected person to the side of darkness. Only those with huge mental discipline could even hope to remain sane under it's influence. And you're suggesting we corrupt ourselves?! I don't care if you don't remember your past life or not, you're still one of them at heart." Jon was firm on his believe that people didn't change. Erik was a little surprised. "What's up with you?" Jon shook his head. "It's a story for another time, but I know what this virus is capable of. Someone f**ked with the virus's code, causing it to corrupt the ones it infected. If no one had touched the virus, it would have been perfectly safe." Karoline whispered to Serrenedy: "it might be a good idea to not say anything right now. Jon there thinks you're the enemy. Don't say anything that'll needle him further." Jon turned to everyone again. "The only reason I'm leaving Lindsey behind is because we need as few people as possible. Serrenedy i want with us because she might be one of the few people who could dismantle the thing, and Erik and karoline are coming as backup. otherwise, I'd go myself.

"Go ahead. Stab me if you like, the spear won't even penetrate my skull. You're trying to fight diamond." Erik turned to Serrenedy. "See, you used to be our enemy, and through a complex series of events that I don't really understand, you lost your memory and started helping us."

Jon looked at Serrenedy. "Don't worry about memories. I tried that and found myself only despair." Jon knew what he had done in his past.

Jon laughed. "If I remember it correctly, on our first meeting you tried to kick me in my happy place." Erik accepted the water. "Hopefully you aren't trying to knock me out." Erik didn't mind, if something happened, Jon and Karoline would have Serrenedy and Lindsey by the throat in a flash.

Jon motioned to Erik and Karoline to come over to him. He pointed to Serrenedy and Lindsey. "You see that? We must do everything in our power to keep that the way it is. Serrenedy has a chance to change her life, repair the damage the Empire did. We should help her. No mention of her past, especially no mention of her old ability."
