[Enter Dr. Doom from an other dimersion]  A brief flash heralds the return of the Monarch of Latveria. Stepping through the aperture, Dr. Doom surveys the damage done to his country and is filled with an angry resolve, "There shall be much suffering for this outrage!" Then Doom's eyes fell upon the remains on the Dr. Doom that this world knew, "Kristoff...." The armored mastermind knelt beside his protege's broken body, "What has brought you to this end? What enemies have arrayed themselves against Doom, whilest I explored the cosmos? I assure you, Kristoff, you shall be avenged. Doom swears it!!" Doom picked up a piece of Kristoff's broken mask and downloaded as much information surviving in his protoge's suit -- which was spotty at best. After the download, the Latverian monarch stood and walked toward the overlook. "Master?" Dr. Doom turned and saw his old companion and assistant, "Boris! You survived, my old friend. Excellent. There is much work to do, and inform my subjects that their master has returned!" Then, Doom turned toward the horizon and crushed the remains of Kristoff's mask in his gauntlet, "There are those responsible for this, and they will pay!"

Dr. Doom surveyed the reconstruction of Castle Doom and was pleased by the progress. Silently, the Latverian monarch watched, as his people worked, "Soon, our beloved country shall be rebuilt -- arisen from the ashes!"
The approach of several people drew Doom's attention. Boris addressed him, "Lord Doom, this man ran here to deliver a message."
As Boris stepped aside, the haggard man nervously held his hat, "My Liege, Serbian troops have crossed our border. They attacked our people, looting everything..."
Doom quickly stepped right up to this man, "WHAT!?!?!" Doom's roar frightened the humble man even more, "My Liege, I'm afraid it's true."
Doom's gaze narrowed, "How is it that you got to Doomstaat?"
The nervous man replied, "I barely managed to grab a motorcycle, after the Serbs destroyed the telephone lines."
Doom nodded, "You have done your duty. Boris!"
Boris answered, "Yes, Lord Doom?"
Doom turned toward his old friend, "Send a message to Symkaria. Inform Silver Sable that she must make good on our alliance. Also, see to this man, and make sure he is properly taken care of."
Doom activated his wrist communicator, "To all Doombots and Doomknights. Proceed to the Serbian border and repell the Serb insurgents. Their presence offends me."
An automated response replied, "Yes, Lord Doom."

Dr. Doom sat in front of numerous computer screens viewing report from various Doombots on their progress against the Serbians. Between Doom's and Silver Sable's forces, the Serbs didn't stand a chance.
Satisfied, the Monarch of Latveria switched to another project. Once seeing the results of Kristoff's defeat, Victor von Doom set to work. After replaying innumerable scenarios in his head, he knew what needed to be done.
At his command, double doors to his lab opened up and displayed on a reinforced table the empty shell of one of the previous incarnations of Ultron. Into the lab, Doom brought a grimoire of his own making. Standing at one side of the table, Dr. Doom traced his hand across the adamantium shell completely devoid of all circuitry of the genocidal android.
Doom open his grimoire to an incantation that would allow him to reshape the invincible alloy as he wished, "This shall become the basis of my new armor. This is my will and my destiny..... And I shall prevail over all who oppose me!"

When Doom completed his task, the shell that was once one of the many versions of Ultron was now Dr. Doom's new armor. The Master of Latveria added all the features that he utilized in his armor into the new suit. After Victor finished all the modifications and was satisfied with his work, Doom donned his new adamantium powered armor.  Dr. Doom runs internal tests while checking on his range of physical motion, "Wonderful. A suit of invincible adamantium under my control and no Fantastic Four to stop me. This world will be mine... as soon as the world is restored as I see fit. What remains is little more than a pocket dimension. However, the genius of Doom will rectify this."The armored monarch walks to the satellite imagery displaying the world that was and the majority that appears to be cloaked in shadow. A smile crept across Victor's face hidden by the faceplate, "Oh yes. I can see it now. I shall start by gradually restoring Europe, expanding my influence as I go. As those peoples are restored from this shadow, they will revere me as their savior and accept my rule. This is as it was meant to be."Doom's throaty laugh echoed in the chamber.

A cat-like, female voice spoke over any and all X-Coms:
"Any available X-Men, this is Kesshou. There are Sentinel type beings attacking Gotham City. Please help."
Then Remy's voice came back over the coms
"Hey Chere! I'm stuck in Metropolis. I'll have to catch the next one alright?"

 Dr. Doom continued his work. Using his sorcery to tap into the power of the natural ley line, Victor controled the dimensional magic to reclaim the land from the realm of shadow. A set of monitors displayed his progress. Boris exclaimed to his lord, "Master, it's working! You have done it!" "Of course, Boris. It is only a matter or time," Doom replied to his closest associate. On the screens, the map displayed a fully restored Latveria and Symkaria, and a partial restoration of Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Hungary. As the land expanded out, Doom felt the strain on his very being from the outpouring of magic. Then, the Master of Latveria ended the casting with a final enchantment to stablize what he just restored. Taking a deep breath and stepping away from his grimoire, Dr. Doom rested a moment. Boris ran over to Doom's side, "Master, do you need assistance?" "No, Boris, I am fine.... I need some time before I cast that enchantment again," Victor von Doom stood back up and walked over to the console, "Dr. Doom to all commands, Move out all designated units out toward the reclaimed land. Restore order where neccessary. Inform all that their land was reclaimed from the shadow by the power of Doom!"

Spider-man suddenly found himself standing in the middle of a dark, rather threatening forest, Jessica still completely comatose in his arms. A moment later, the little light on Deadpool's teleporter flickered and died. OH, this cannot be good. Immediately, he jumped up, landing in the branches of a tall pine. Well... he didn't know where he was. Maybe these threatening woods were actually very nice; one could never tell.
Yeah, right.
Well... the best course of action was probably to wait for Jessica to wake up. Then he could head back to the Sanctum, grab alternate Black Cat and whoever else happened to be around, and just storm the place. ... Always assuming that storming the place wouldn't just give the organization more test subjects... "Ugh," he groaned, leaning back against the trunk of the tree. "I don't have the vocabulary to sufficiently describe how much this sucks." He jostled Jessica slightly in the hope that she would magically wake up despite all the drugs that were still flowing through her system.

"Jessica?" Peter asked hopefully. Then, receiving a sudden burst of inspiration, he continued in his best 'Aunt May' impersonation voice. "Peter Benjamen Parker, wake up this instant and get these dishes taken care of!" After all, as far as the girl's memories were concerned, she HAD BEEN Peter Parker up until... well... things.

Jessica scowled and shifted, responding with an agitated growl. She blinked the sleep from her eyes and tried to look around for who was trying to wake her up. Awake, but not quite seeing just yet.

"Ohthankgod," Peter breathed, relaxing a little against the tree's rough bark. His arms didn't relax their hold on her, though; she didn't really look capable of staying upright on her own, yet. Or... thinking. More in keeping with his usual, snarky manner, he added, "Good morning, Sunshine! How is our little kidnapping victim this morning, hm?"

Jessica finally managed to find find whoever it was that was with her, and blinked the rest of the sleep from her eyes. "....what...?" was all she managed to say. It had registered who she was seeing, but nothing else had caught up quite yet.

"Isn't she great, ladies and gentlemen? Let's give her a hand!" Then, quite suddenly, he realized that the blue cloth covering her... um... torso was slipping, and he quickly averted his eyes, pulling the cloth back into place. "Jesus, this is so many different levels of awkward, I don't even know where to start. Okay, um... This might sort of seem like a strange question, but are you feeling any murderous urges? Psychotic impulses? A sudden desire to dye your costume black?" He wasn't sure what this project was, but there wasn't any such thing as being too careful.
