Sanvi led him deep into the woods, and turned around. "Anywhere around here," she said. "There are animals nearby..." She intended to leave; he was scaring her.

Sanvi backed against a tree and waited for Garin to return.

Garin managed to run down and devour two wolves. Once he had blood in his stomach, his head was much clearer. He let out a sigh and ran back to Sanvi.

Sanvi was still where he'd left her. She didn't seem to notice he'd come back.

Soon they were back at the house, and Sanvi led Garin back to the sitting room.

"That herb would make me unconscious," Sanvi said. "Nothing more. But I can detect it, and his magic. He's weak compared to Jace. I can help myself if he attacks me; I saved myself from Jace enough."
