Martel didn't even notice KoTari, but she did notice that she couldn't move from her spot. The spirit came closer and made a point to show itself to all of them. It came closer and touched Martel. "I have been seeking to find someone to help me rest. So far, my search has been unsuccessful. This body is the only one capable of freeing my spirit of the thing that binds me to this realm." A separate and distant voice said speaking through Martel.

Shady's arm shook...A spirit..."What do you require..." He asked somewhat differently...His voice changed slightly...More airy now and a tad eari...

KoTari saw the faint outline of the spirit but kept a firm grasp on Martel's shoulders. He didn't know what to say in a situation such as this, because he had rarely dealt with spirits before.

"I require that this body use its power to free me from my bonds. There is a hidden entrance to an old shrine somewhere around this area. Please find it and help me." The spirit's outline faded and the hazy look in Martel's eyes faded away as well. She shook her head and looked at KoTari. It looked almost as if she had woken from a dream. "What happened?"

KoTari quickly removed his hands from Martel's shoulders, "Ah, this might be a bit..." He blushed and tried to explain why he was behind her with his hands on her shoulders.
"A spirit wants your help to release it from something," Seraphiel spoke up, ignoring her brother for the moment.

Martel moved from KoTari's grasp and turned to look at Seraphiel. "A spirit? You mean the one that was calling me? That's the only thing I can remember."

(He's mature because of his age, but to be honest his mentality is similar to what he looks like. And he was traveling all this time with Seraphiel only. It would be natural to assume that he has no experience with women lol. They both lived a secluded life until recently. And heck, Martel's cute)
"Yeah. It just spoke to us. It said something about looking for a shrine. There should be one nearby from what it said," Seraphiel told Martel.
KoTari made a small bit of distance from Martel and returned to his sister's side, "I'm not sure why it needs you, but that is the case. What will you do?" He asked. The blush slowly started to leave his face.

(( xD... that would be totally cute... Martel was originally in love with Yuan, but since he's not in this world, then well... it's possible she could fall in love with someone else... xD ))
Martel looked at KoTari, but she hardly noticed the blush. In fact, she was oblivious to it. She thought about it. "I think I should try and help it. Sure, it would be better to be cautious, but I didn't sense any threat from this thing when it first contacted me."
Sai jumped off Shady's back and jumped into Martel's arms, climbing up onto her shoulder. She shifted from fox to cat and started purring.

Shady walked a little bit away from them after setting Sai down..."Shady think about it...It was a spirit...Why didn't you absorb it!" Said a rather evil voice..."Go away...Your bugging me..." Shady said glareing at nothing...Everytime the evil voice spoke Shady's hand glowed dark...

"So then I guess we better go look for the shrine it spoke about," KoTari said. He looked over at Shady, who appeared to be deep in thought about something, "Are you coming with us?" He asked.

The voice grew louder and more angry "Shady. Kill the spirit. Or I will personally." Shady winced as some pain shot around his arm and he slowly walked back over "Let's go." He said pain on his voice...

KoTari and Seraphiel looked at Shady with a combination of confusion and worry.
Seraphiel walked closer to Shady, "We're going to look for a shrine!" She sang, trying to cheer him up.
KoTari let out a small sigh and looked over at Martel, "Shall we?" He asked politely. Because they were in the swamp area, KoTari offered his hand to Martel so she doesn't trip.
