Lily shook her head rapidly. At her other jobs before this one, people would feel sorry for her and she would never have that. She hated it when people did that and so she usually kept it a secret.
"No Tarra. I would never take money like that. If I don't earn it then I won't take it. That's the rule I've been living by for a long time now. Don't worry Tarra, I'll be okay but thank you." Lily smiled happily.

Tarra sighed some ."..its jsut..i'm not going to use it on me...so..i'd rather it go to someone who can use it...you see what i mean ? " She said smiling. She looked at her watch. "..i still need to give John,..Alice...and...Joel theirs.." She murmured to herself ."

Lily blushed bright red just hearing Joel's name. She hoped that Wyle didn't do anything or say anythig that might embarrass her.
"I do see what you're talking about...but it's okay." Lily smiled. "I'll let you get back to your work now. Thank you for the paycheck."

Tarra nodded and made her way to the kitchens sure Alice and Joel was there but now laying her hopes as always that John was hungry. She came through the doors chuckling. " Pay checks Joel and John s he called her head down.

"You really think so, do you? Well, you would probably know better than I would. And she is a really nice girl." Joel concedes with a small shrug. He was not exaggerating about not really knowing how to deal with girls. Tarra entered with the checks before Joel could give that much more thought. "No more matchmaking for me today though, alright? I really do think we ran her off." He gives a wry little smile before approaching Tarra to retrieve his check.
"Is everything alright, boss?" Joel asked without thinking, seeing her head down. Much like he tended to call Alice chef, he usually called Tarra boss.

Kira looked at the sketchpad. She picked up a pencil, and opened the book. She put it down on the paper, and she started to move the pencil.

Tarra nearly ran into Joel and chuckled. " Joel..i'm never giving you another paycheck unless you like everyone else call me Tarra or the like "S he said smiling at him. She held the check just within his reach.

Lila begin to serve the few customers that had walked in. She went to the kitchen and said "Heads up, we have a few 'still deciders'" Meaning - they took forever to order. She waited in the kitchen for a while as if to look busy, hopefully hurrying them up. There was a man, a women and one small child around 6. There would have to be a lot of cleaning up Lila thought to herself and sighed. She looked over the room and saw Joel particularly red. She raised an eyebrow at him as if to say Lily hmm?

"Hmn? Yes, of course, boss." Joel grinned and took the bait, reaching for the check held suspiciously just at the edge of his reach. Catching sight of Lila's expression in his peripheral vision, he wasn't sure what it meant and had a sneaking suspicion he didn't want to know.

Lily pocketed her pay check and fixed the bow on the back of her uniform. That always had a habit of coming loose when she was working. She then took her dirty rags to the laundry room and started a load of laundry. While the washer was spinning around, Lily walked back to the kitchen. She had to wait awhlie until the washer was done anyway. Joel was still in the kitchen along with Tarra. She blushed and hesitated before she left to go get a broom. At least it was something to keep her busy.

" Ah-ah ! "S he said swatting his hand smirking. " Tarra or no check..." She said almost darkly but still smiling at the boy. She moved back out of his reach and stuffed it with johns envelope in her arm.

Joel laughed and shook his head. "Well, I have to get back to work, so I lose this time. May I have my check, Tarra?" It still felt awkward to call his boss by name, though. It was something he had never really gotten used to.

Kira looked at her picture. It was looking kinda like a family portrait of Lily, Alice, and John, with Tarra appearing in the back, and Lila looking off to the left. She then went back to the Tarra in the back ,and started to finish her.

Joel tucked the check away in a pocket, then turned to his cousin with a small, polite smile. "Still deciders, huh? That's rough. How many are we looking at? If it's only a few it should not be too much trouble." It would likely still be annoying for Lila who had to stand around and wait, but as per usual Joel's mind was on the kitchen staff. A few slow deciding people was par for the course; a few tables of slow deciding people led to back ups as dozens of orders came in at once instead of a few at a time. He hoped to avoid that nightmare.
