After Chahna's sudden departure, Thorne had found herself at something of a loss. But, she had the Mistress's expectations to live up to, and she'd not become the Events Coordinator for lack of inventiveness. Instead, Hitomi was once again stalked, cornered, and queried, with a result of one of the other dancers, not quite as exotic as her first choice, but an actual Oriental, being inked, attired, and put to work. The execs from Arasaki had arrived with a deliberately measured tardiness, almost as though testing the club's willingness to attend to them, and had stood out like a broken, slashed thumb in their primly pressed business suits, but they were customers of the highest order in the club, and were treated as such. Besides, it wasn't as though they'd kept the Mistress herself waiting.
Scurrying from that very matter, Thorne had gotten herself buried in the behind-the-scenes details of attending to the Theatre folk. They were a somewhat rowdy lot, having just finished a performance, but they knew the rules here as well as any other returning guest, and Thorne's work had been mostly fielding people to attend to the group's more specialized requests. Mostly uneventful, but definitely time-consuming... which is why Thorne found herself having missed the opening sequences of the performance of the evening on the dance floor... DJ "White Noise" and their truly stunning demonstrations of musical and mechanical skill.
Such a thing was a bit of a depressant, but Thorne always attended to the needs and wishes of her Mistress first on busy nights like this. She never had any set hours or anything, after all... she just had to make sure things were booked well, situated in their proper place, and running smoothly. Which is why she eventually found herself drifting through the crowd on the dance-floor, and flopping with a decided weariness onto one of the stools in front of Urban's bar, hooking the tall heels of her boots onto the rungs of the stool and placing an order for something really potent...

Strange Little Horror Leila Bellport ----------------The doctor is in Leila found that, like herself, this woman stood out quite a bit. She belonged more in a painting or church, not this place by far. It was almost comforting to know there was someone else who didn’t have to show more skin than clothing.
As the woman spoke, Leila iwas quite interested to find that is seems to be a special piece. Wanting to feel the energies she spoke of, if they were real, Leila leaned in closer, though carefully as the not touch the glass.
While listening to Marie, Leila became even more interested in the artifact, knowing it seemed to be quite special. She was not a believer in the paranormal or any of that gypsy-talk, but it was fun to just pretend. Mixed with her burning desire to just believe, Leila moved her head closer to the glass, but was careful not to touch it. Almost immediately, a faint warmth seemed to emanate from the piece. Shocked, she raised her head and looked at Marie, fully enthralled.
{ - Marie - }
Marie tilts her head at the woman's sudden shock. An understanding smile traces over her pale lips. "The inhabitant is quite strong in this piece," she explains to the woman, "He was not always friendly, mind you. There was a time when he rather persistently attempted to escape the confines of the glass. As punishment, we moved him up here where it is more solitaty. He has calmed down greatly since then."
Raising a hand, Marie lightly trails her fingertips to hover just above the glass casing. "He is one of Nox's most prized possessions. Have you ever been to Nox's shop? It's just downstairs."

e l e c t r a x x x cybernetic illuminator Electra's smile fades at the mention of bikes. No, this was something that the doctor's hadn't taught her of. Shifting through files, she pulled up an image of a bike, just to help. Nope, she had never ridden one before. But she had seen one, at least once. She pulled up a video file of someone riding a bike, and studied the movements for a bit. Stowing her newly gained knowledge away, she snapped back to the real world. "Sorry," she said, smiling ruefully, "I was just thinking. But I haven't ridden a bike before, either. That would make things a bit more difficult, wouldn't it?" Her smile dropped, the corner of her mouth slipping down. Never had she been required to act so humanly before. It took most of her concentration to focus on what the doctors had taught her. Maybe, just maybe, if she stayed here and acted like this more often, it would come more naturally. Or so she hoped.

{ - Kendal - }
Kendal laughs at their responses. "Well yeah, it probably would makes things complicated. Especially for Em here, trying to ride a ten speed while she's drunk," Kendal muses to them playfully, her tone turning into a deep purr as she describes the other love of her life. "But I'm not talking about a regular bike. I'm talking about a Ducati 1098S, longitudinal twin, 2 cylinders, 4-stroke. Add Em here and you've even got your cherry on top."
Kendal nods to the only man in the group. "I've been giving Jack lessons for a week. He could take Electra behind him on the club bike, and Em could ride with me. What do you say?"

e l e c t r a x x x cybernetic illuminator Electra nods. Her smile widened, because she loved to talk about mechanics. Though she had thought that she had been talking about a bicycle. Not a motorcycle. She pulled up a photo of the Ducati she mentioned, and contemplated the whole figure. It was something, and Electra could feel the artifical excitement building in her veins. "Yes, that sounds okay," she said happily, her smile wide. Her mind was forced back to the Circus, and she thought for a moment. Never had she been given the oppertunity to do something exciteing or have anything to do with machines like her, which she loved. The simple idea of a machine brought a giddy feeling to the female. So of course these bikes would do her good. She wanted to stay. At the Muse, and keep away from the Circus. She could only hope Emily was feeling the same, or else she would have to leave.

Jack Finley ___________ Do I know you?
Jack listened once more to the women converse. The lessons he had been receiving lately from Kendal seemed to be going good, and Jack looked forward to riding. It was a strange sense of freedom, an activity that released Jack from the tensions and disappointments of trying to piece together his previous life.
It seemed they would, indeed, all being going for a ride, much to Jack’s elation. He gave a big, boyish grin and smiled at Electra, who would ride with him. “I think you’ll like it. Don’t worry, I’m the safe driver,” he said with a wink. Jack’s “normal” personality was emerging.

(( Time check for those who need it! It's about 2 hours before dawn. Everyone who has been playing on the current day, please begin to adjust your rps accordingly! Also remember that the city of New Berlin is eternally darkened, the daylight only reaching levels similar to dawn or dusk. However, the effect is artifical so any vampiric characters, that are compelled to sleep during the day, will still feel that compulsion.
And a reminder for the circus people, the demonic powers that bind you to the circus will force your characters to retreat back to carnival grounds before sunrise! ))

{ - Kendal - }
Her cheshire grin spanning from ear to ear, Kendal beams at them. "It sounds like we're all on the same page." She reaches out and slides her fingers into Emily's hand, pulling her up from the stool. "Come on Em, you're with me." she teases playfully. Taking up the lead, Kendal keeps Emily's hand as she weaves through the tables and partons. She blows a kiss to the bouncers before scooting passed them, emerging out into the cool early morning air. "We've only got a couple hours before morning," she comments, twitching her nose. She glances at Jack and Electra as they catch up to them. "That means you'll probably have to catch up to Marie later Jack. Thorne will be stealing her off as soon as the Mistress retires for the day." She gives Emily a smile. "But don't worry, we'll be back by then," she adds with assurance, "Now, you guys stay here. I'll go get our ride. Jack, you stick around with them. I'll have someone else help me bring up the other bike."
And with that Kendal flutters off down the alley on her new quest.

 Nathan nodded slowly, and bowed low to the pretty woman, feeling mildly embarrassed at his naivety. This embarrassment showed in a slight tinge of the cheeks, but only so that one would have to look closely to find it. He never could completely curb his tendency to blush. "I thank you for your kind words and understanding, they shan't be forgotten." He graced his words with a true and warm smile, and turned to bow a slight bit less...formally...to the man, giving him a bit of a colder smile, before straightening his back and pushing his glasses back up his nose. He took a few steps back - it was quite rude to turn ones back immediately, but he could very well not walk all the way downstairs backwards - and turned around to retreat to the bar downstairs, as suggested.
((wow so sorry about taking so long. I blame school, zomg!, and myself. Feel free to beat me with something hard.
Edit: I suppose Angie should be getting to bed soon then? I presume we awake at night and sleep during day..? ))

Emily Kane-Living Doll Emil followed beside kendal outside to the alley. Where they now awaited Kendal's return with the bikes. Emily looked over at Electra and smiled. The alcohol was finally wearing off, Em was still buzzed at the least, but not completely wasted anymore. She then looked in the direction of the Circus. She knew they had to go back eventually. Her fantasies about leaving, they would not be awnsered. She was bound, and the worst part about that was, she had found the Circus, rather than the Circus finding her. The place she thought she could call home had now become her prison. Emily shook her head, slightly upset. She tried to not let her emotions show, and since they were not as strong as the average human it was not that hard to cover.

"Thank you," she tells the stranger who came in with the Reverend, "Urban or Thorne will assist you at the bar. I will stop by there for you before I leave for the night."
Once the stranger is gone, Franky turns to her appointment. "Reverend, I appreciate you coming with such promptness," she tells him as she motions for him to sit. Settling down in her old spot on the goddess couch, she addresses the real issue. "I asked you to come this evening to glean some insight on a possible disturbance that has emerged in the city. Tell me, in your various travels, have you ever heard of some sort of wandering carnival, backed by demonic forces?" She offers a faint smile. "I realise it may sound a little strange, but you do specialise in the extraordinary."

Strange Little Horror Leila Bellport ----------------The doctor is in Inhabitant," Leila murmers, presenting it almost as a question. She listened intently to Marie's explanation, who spoke of the thing as if it was, or had been, a person.
"Mmm, no. I haven't been there..." Leila was quite interested in this shop of which Marie spoke, wondering if there would be anything for sale that she could afford.
"This... shop... is open to the public? To me?" Leila would certainly make her way downstairs to find Nox's as soon as her engagement with Marie was done, though she was in no real hurry.

Jack Finley ___________ Do I know you?
[Sorry about the confused, mixed up posts, everyone, especially Miss Minai Chan!! gonk ]
Jack nodded as Kendal and Emily left. He turned his head to look at Electra.
"This may sound like a weird question, but... you... you don't recognize me, do you? I mean, aside from just seeing me around The Muse, if you have," he asked, a bit awkwardly. He gave a weak smile to try and show Electra he wasn't a nutcase, especially since he'd be driving her around on a motorcycle.

e l e c t r a x x x cybernetic illuminator Hearing his question, Electra did not think it was strange it all, if she could've had such opinions. For Electra, there was and then there wasn't, and that was all. "I don't think it's a very strange question," she said truthfully. Briefly scanning through her files, she couldn't come up with any "memory" of Jack. "Your name nor your appearance rings a bell," she told him, then hesitated. "Why do you ask?" she inquired, raising an eye brow.
