The guards tried to ignore Tristan and kept shooting a couple of guards ran out of the building and started to chase them. 2 Bright Spotlights aimed at them. Another Gunshot was heard... Michael fell to the ground, he was shot in the leg. Michael got up and kept trying to run. Another shot in his right leg. He fell once more.He Paused the Pain Wasn't even painful... he stared at his leg... he was hit by two tranquilizers... Slowly The World started to go dark...

Riley ran to Michael. Tranquilizers. She thought as she took each one out.
"Oh Michael." She sighed. Quickly, she threw Michael over her shoulder and ran to the shed. Riley placed Michael on the floor. Carefully, she bragged a bag and placed it under his head. She looked around. What are we going to do? Riley thought. Any minute the government would find them. And then she saw it. A little handle in the corner of the room on the floor said it all. "There." She pointed and lifted up the door. "Everyone in." Riley said and grabbed Michael. She began to drag Michael down in the floor as lights were getting closer. Before she closed the latch, she took off the handle so the door was hidden and no one else could get in. That way they could escape to freedom.

Riley looked at Elenwyd. "Can you hold the door open? I'm going to see if I can get a light." Cautiously, she listened to make sure the men were gone. The men grumbled and cursed. One even stormed out and slammed the door. Carefully, she lifted up the door. So far she didn't see anyone. Slowly, she climbed out in search of some light.

Shooting, Simon thought wildly. We haven't even gotten fifty feet away and they're shooting at us. Oh God, why does this always happen to me?!! Panting, Simon ran as fast as he could, stumbling over roots in the dark and rain. He cast his gaze wildly from side to side. A way out, there had to be a way out- A sharp pain in his leg. Simon's eyes went even wider. Th-they shot me. They really shot me. His leg started to go numb. An upraised root sent him tumbling down towards the river, which was swollen with water. Simon plunged into the water, resurfaced, gasping and thrashing. His leg got caught between two large rocks- CRACK. "Aaaagh!" Simon screamed in fear and pain. Panicking, he simply let himself go under. It was calmer under the water. Quieter. The current still rushed around him, but there were no people shooting at him. He'd forgotten how he could breathe underwater now. For a moment, he'd reacted as though he was still human. But that doesn't make my leg any less broken, he thought as he carefully extracted it from between the rocks. Each movement was like someone shoving hot pokers into his calf. His vision was starting to go dark at the edges from pain and shock. Finally, it came loose. I've got to- get away- Simon thought numbly, and looked around for a hiding spot. He found one beneath the opposite bank, under a group of boulders. It was impossible to find from above. Simon eased his way in, holding his injured limb gingerly. I don't have to come up for air like the rest do, he thought, resting in the hollow. I can last a long while here. Which is good, because I'm starting to feel... sleepy... With a final thrash of his tail, Simon gave in to the tranquilizers.
((Don't worry about Simon or his broken leg. I've got a plan!))

Nancy rubbed her arms, shivering. "What are we going to do?" she whispered. "Michael's been shot, and we don't know how long this lasts..." She trailed off and hunkered down miserably. She hadn't thought they would get caught this quickly.

Beth took her place at the back of the line right in front of Michael. Riley hadn't told her to help the others, but it was part of Beth's instincts. When they got outside, Beth ran as fas as she could while staying just in front of Michael but behind everyone else. Her eyes flashed and she growled loudly, showing her fangs when the gun fire started.
She had just made it to the safety of the woods and turned around when Michael was overcome by the tranquilizers. 'Oh, gods!' She was about to go back for him, but Riley was already on the way.
Reaching the shed just before Riley, she tried to do a fast head count, but half way through, they were forced down into the underground room. If it hadn't been for her exceptional lion's night vision, she probably wouldn't have been able to continue. As it was, by the time they were able to go back above ground, there was only one person she hadn't seen. Hoping that maybe he had just gotten lost to her in the shuffle, she looked around again when they had gotten back up into the main part of the shed. 'Not here.'
Beth saw how scared Nancy looked, so she walked over to her, crouched down beside her and put her arm around her shoulder. "We're not done yet, Nanc. They're just tranquilizers. They'll wear off in time. Meanwhile we stronger ones can take turns carrying him if need be. It'll slow us down a little bit, but hopefully not too much. And if Riley knows the way well enough, we might be able to outsmart the guards." Beth smiled as reassuringly as she could considering her own nervousness. Looking at the others, she brought up the one thing that had been troubling her for the last few moments. "By the way, has anyone seen the salamander boy, Simon?"

Riley found a flash light and some batteries. She didn't turn on the flash light in case of a scientist or guard saw them. "Now we can see what's really in this tunnel and how far down it goes."
"Has anyone seen the salamader boy, Simon?" Beth asked. She handed Beth the flashlight.
"Whatever you do don't turn it on. I'll get Simon. If it's me, I'll knock twice and when I do lift up the door so that the two of us can get back in." Riley went to the window. There were too many guards and scientists. "I hope they catch pneumonia." She muttered to herself. She couldn't see Simon anywhere. Hopefully, they hadn't taken him yet. "I hope his Salamander skills gift kick in."
(So do you want us to just leave Simon there?)

Tristan had been shot at, but he left with only the scratch on his left arm. The guards had tried to track him to where he know was, in the middle of the forest, but the dogs couldn't get a proper scent because he had been flying. He decided that he would get his friends to help him. He sent some of the crows that had greeted him to find where the other escapees went. They came back and told him that they were at the other end of the river in a shed of some sort. He sighed, he knew he wouldn't be able to get that far without giving their position away. Another crow came and told him that there was something in the trees not too far away from him. He nodded and followed by foot to Elenwyd. He wanted to get his attention from the ground, but decided to fly up to the tree instead. He quickly flapped his wings and saw him, he poked him and awaited what he would do.

Beth took the flashlight. "Alright. Be careful Riley. We need you, ya know."
As she was closing the door behind her, Beth just caught the comment about catching pneumonia and chuckled, figuring Riley meant the guards. 'Yeah, that'd be a big boon for us; half the staff in deep trouble for falling asleep on the job and the other half sick as death. Now, if only we could find our stragglers and make it to this place of Riley's, we'd be doing great.'

"Umm..." Nancy piped up. The others all turned to look at her. She shrank back a little. "I actually saw him fall a ways back. I think he fell into the river." "WHAT?!!" various people shouted. "Why didn't you help him?!" someone yelled. Nancy bristled. "In case you didn't notice, people were shooting at us!" she yelled back. "What good would it have done if more of us got tranquilized? Besides," she said, calming down a little. "Since he fell into the river, and all the guards are still out there, that must mean he hasn't been caught yet. Isn't a river the safest place for someone like him to be?" She looked around, a little unsure. "Right?"
((um... yeah, actually. ^^; Don't worry, he'll come back when it's light.))
