Well, in band last year one of my friend's friends threw a little paper ball at him. He decided to pick it up using the end of his flute...which resulted in the ball of paper getting stuck inside his flute. o_o; I don't know, not very interesting things happen in the band I was in. xD

the best tuba player at my school. she's MAD good. she used duct tape to write something like, 'Tuba Queen' or 'Death Star' on her tuba while in marching band. Sometimes while we weren't playing anything for the pep band, we'd put a Skittle on a snare drum, hit the snare drum as hard as we could, then catch the Skittle in our mouths XD XD We got really good at it, too

piccolo_pixie one time a guy in band stood up in the middle of a lecture and started truing to french kiss his trumpet. disturbing but funny. xD; Our band director told us that a few years ago he convinced a trumpet player to switch to tuba, which he did. And in consequence, he fell in LOVE with the tuba. In fact, he loved it so much, he even wrote a poem about it. ^^; Must've seriously been in love.

Word of advice: don't give trumpet players skittles. Our lead trumpet took a skittle and launched it out of his trumpet at our BD.

Takuya Kanbara Word of advice: don't give trumpet players skittles. Our lead trumpet took a skittle and launched it out of his trumpet at our BD. xd I need to learn how to do that. I orchestrated a new way of keeping the beat and marching on time in Marching Band. When your marching to the street beat, move your bell to the left, then center, then right like a pendulum. We got the whole band to do it, and it looked hilarious. Another thing I toyed with was our former Quad player's finishing tap. (You know, the tap tap tap thing when your finishing a parade.) We got her to make it latin style, and we were playing it through Sherburne last year. So hilarious. xd

Another time, I was playing flute in the band room for a free period I had and I spent the whole time trying to move a pencil with the air coming from the flute. xd

Our drum captain will intentionally tap offbeats, so our entire band is off.
