"Aaric, can't you see you're making her uncomfortable?" Rylan asked pointedly. Coralie looked stiff and her speech was halting and erratic. "We wouldn't mind going right now," he said, speaking for his brother, "I'm hungry anyway." Perhaps they'd also meet some other people. He slid across the room to open the door, making sure not to accidentally brush Coralie on the way. She seemed sensitive to that sort of thing if Aaric's gesture was any indication.

"That's all?" Lord Taite asked with a mischeivous grin. "Is that how you remain so willow thin?" However, their conversation was interrupted by the arrival of his cousin. "I can't really say no to you, you're family." He turned to Lady Maybelline, his face expressionless. "Would you mind if she sat here?" A part of him was unwilling to let their newly aquired closeness slip away in a group, but another realized that Lady Taite was kind of nosy and would question him later anyway.

Grace shielded her eyes with an outstretched hand. "Wow, it's bright," she complained. Scanning the blankets she saw a group of teachers already seated, and a few others roaming about the garden area. "It seems like nearly everyone's here," she noted. The young noble skipped over to a blanket that was spread out. It was cloudy blue and not brand new, so that the fabric was comfortable, and thick enough that the grass wouldn't poke into their legs. It was fairly large too, allowing room for about four or five people. A servant came by and she helped herself to cantaloupe slices, fruit juice, and two finger sandwiches. "This isn't that much different from my breakfast," she said with a smile as she realized it. However, Grace was the type to stick to what she liked, so she didn't mind much.

Lady Florizel moved a blanket into the shade of the castle and gracefully folded her skirts beneath her to sit. She daintily stirred her bitter tea with a gloved hand, watching the students and teachers congregate. It hardly felt like an academy today. Tomorrow would be a tiring day. The first day always was. She just hoped the students weren't planning an midnight excursions. Money and troublemaking always seemed to come hand and hand. She remembered getting into mischief too before she was married.

Aaric jerked his arm off of Coralie quickly at his twin's words, again without thinking. He hadn't realized that it had bothered her, and Rylan had put it so bluntly... "Sorry," he mumbled, sounding almost shy or ashamed, something he normally wasn't. Aaric groaned inwardly as he realized color coming to his face, also something new. He wasn't sure why, but he felt incredibly horrible for making Coralie uncomfortable. How could he have been such an idiot? Quickly, he rose and followed Rylan out of the door, pausing outside for Coralie.

Lord Lawley nodded, happy with the idea. He would have been happy with it whichever way it went, considering her hand set onto his arm. "Of course," he said gladly. "May I escort you to lunch, then?" he asked, extending his own arm towards her. The garden wasn't far from the stables, but it would still be a nice walk. Lawley smiled at her almost shyly, hoping that she would agree. For some reason, he was incredibly nervous as to what her answer would be, and if she would accept his arm.

Amira rushed to sit gracefully down on the soft blanket, taking a finger sandwich and a couple of bright green grapes for herself as the servant passed by. "Not really," Amira agreed, popping a grape into her mouth and chewing it. When she had finished, she looked up at Grace again. "I wonder if dinner will be the same too," she said, sounding slightly disappointed. While it was good to get used to the food, she always liked a variety.

Coralie's shoulders relaxed slightly as Aaric pulled his arm away, though the blush in her cheeks intensified. "It's okay," she said quickly, glancing up to meet his gaze for a split second before looking back down at the floor. She took in a deeper breath once the two brothers had stood away and rose delicately.

Glancing down at her bags, she wondered briefly what to do with them. She picked up her clothes bag and followed after the two boys. "I just want to drop this off at my dorm - the books don't matter as much," she said before either of them could go to pick up her heavier bag again. A smile crossed her face as the flush faded. She pushed the discomfort of the previous situation into the back of her mind and started off toward the staircase, half eager to meet the other students and half dreading socialization.

Lady Maybelline only smiled at his comment. Her smile brightened as Lady Taite approached. But as she glanced over at Lord Taite, her eyes clouded over with concern, if only for a moment. The playfulness that she had seen only moments ago had vanished. She looked away, shaking off the mix of emotions swelling in her head, and patted the spot next to her. "Of course not Lady Taite."

"Canis, I think we should probably head to lunch." When Lord Canis took her hand, Lady Josephine wrapped her hand around his, although lightly. She pulled him after her as she made her way to where the picnic was.

Lukas heard more voices coming from the picnic area. He glanced over from a bush nearby and saw that most of the teachers and a couple of students were already treating themselves with the food. "They already started..." he said as he observed the people there. Before he knew it, he saw Toby striding over towards the picnic area. "Toby!" he exclaimed in a loud whisper and scrambled out of the bush. He jogged up to catch up to the labrador retriever but instead the dog went up to two princesses who were sitting there. "Oh jeez..." he muttered as he walked slowly over.

Toby was looking up at Amira who was eating green grapes and over to Grace who had the finger sandwiches. He gave both of them his puppy eyes, hoping that they'll share him some food.

"Toby..." Lukas scowled at him slightly when he caught up to the dog before glancing over at the two princesses. "Sorry about that..." he muttered quietly to them and then turned his attention to the dog again, hoping to grab the dog's attention before the teachers would notice him. "Toby!"

"Food!" Aurora exclaimed at the sight of platters of food coming out towards the picnic area. "Let's go!" Aurora grinned as she jumped from the tree branch and landed perfectly onto the ground with her two feet. She was quite a cat-like child ever since she was young. Climbing trees was one of her best sports although she had to hide it from her mother, the queen. Webster took his time down the tree and walked beside Aurora as she happily skipped towards the area.

"Psst..." Aurora said quietly to Webster as she stood behind a group of bushes that was only a couple feet away from the picnic. "I'll go get the food while you stay here. I don't think those princesses don't want to see a spider around the food. Plus, I don't want to get into the risk of losing you again," she whispered to Webster, "Okay?" The spider gave a slight nod as Aurora smiled at him before going through the bushes and towards the blanket. "Sandwiches and fruits?" a servant had asked her before she reached to where everyone was sitting and eating. "Why, thank you..." Aurora said with a huge grin and grabbed the whole platter from the servant. "I'll go eat over here..." she said, "Thanks again! You're great!" The servant looked at her with shock as Aurora returned back through the bushes. "Lookie here...a platter of variety..." Aurora smiled at Webster as she set the platter down.

She ate a few grapes before her mouth spoke from her thoughts. "I wonder if it was okay to take this whole platter?" she asked to herself, knowing Webster was listening in as well. "I mean, they got plenty of food and plus, I dont' think they would like to sit around someone like me who has a pet spider. And also I didn't have any breakfast this morning...so..." Aurora gave a slight shrug as she ate a sandwich and Webster eating his piece of grape.

It was a good picnic.

A blushed settled on her cheeks as he agreed so easily with her and asked to escort her, though she knew it was something that a lady in her position should have been used to. After all, her friends back home were always speaking of how they had all kinds of men escorting them places. So then, maybe it wasn't a big deal? But...did she want it to matter? Or was she over-analyzing again? Anita had been known to do that often.

Coming to a decision before she could change her mind, Anita took Lord Lawley's arm. "I...I would like that."

He followed behind her slowly, still trying to get rid of the blush that converged on his cheeks. If the other Lords saw him blushing like a school girl he would never hear the end of it. But then again, it was worth it if he was able to be around Lady Josephine. "You're quite right. Perhaps this dining experience will be as interesting as the one this morning?"

Grace's attention was captured by a large dog that had bounded quite happily over to them. A handsome prince with violet hair apologized for the animal, and called him Toby. "Hello Toby!" Grace said, launching herself onto the dog. The dog didn't fight the hug, but licked her face. "Blegh!" she said, turning her face out of the danger zone and laughing. "He seems friendly," she commented to the prince. "Do you want to sit with us? I'm Grace, and this is my friend Amira." She thought she'd be polite. Besides, she had really taken a liking to Toby, who was now sniffing a sandwich. She was surprised that he wasn't drooling yet.

Bella groaned as she began to regain consciousness, but she felt a poking sensation that also awoken her as well. The dream, no, nightmare had caused such a major problem to her, but when her eyes fluttered open, she gasped in surprise to see two people, a guy and her roommate. She immediately got up and bowed to show politeness.

"I...I am sorry...I'll leave now..." Bella stuttered softly, her face flushed, but when was ran a few step, she trip again, face to the ground. Apologizing again for some reason, she got up and ran into the school's building. She ran up the stairs of the west wing, getting near to her dormitory floor, but she stop midway. Tears somehow flowed and her face was still flushed, her gown with some dirt on it, her long golden blond hair a bit messy, she was having a bad day. Sitting on the steps of the stairs, she leaned against the wall. Her face in her hand, she cried her tears out, bringing her knees up to cover as well.

'Why am I like this...I...I am not suppose to act like this...I'm worthless as my step mother says...'
Bella thought as she whimpered and cried there, sitting on the stairs alone.

"Books do matter," Aaric said, starting to get back to his normal self. "At least, I know they do for Rylan. I'm sure they do for you, too." He turned back into his room and grabbed Coralie's bag full of books before closing the door behind him and following her down the stairs. He made a point to keep at least two feet between them, now very sensitive not to touch he. Aaric turned to look behind him, where his twin was already following them down the stairs as well. He was ready for lunch, too. It was getting late, and he was hungry. Besides, there would be more people there, and that would be exciting too.

"Thank-you," Lady Taite said sweetly, surveying the looks on both of their faces. Her cousin looked annoyed, something she had expected from him. Lady Maybelline looked happy, though she also seemed confused. Perhaps she wasn't used to the less carefree version of Lord Taite. A servant rushed over as soon as she sat down, and she took some of the available food. "This picnic idea was very nice," Lady Taite commented. "Eating out here is much more pleasant."

Amira smiled as the dog jumped up onto Grace. She let a laugh escape her lips before looking up at the young prince who came to fetch him. "He's adorable," she added, feeding some of her own sandwich to Toby and rumpling his ears gently. "We'd love to have lunch with you." Amira hoped that having the dog here wouldn't be against the school rules. Toby really was incredible cute.

Lord Lawley smiled gently as Anita timidly took his arm. Slowly, he led her outside of the stables and began to make his way towards the area where the picnic was to take place. He could see the culmination of teachers and students already sitting down on the fancy blankets. Lawley wanted to say something to Lady Anita, but for some reason was incredibly nervous that he would be boring her.

As Maxwell entered the school again, he heard the faint sound of crying. The prince had retrieved his book, and had decided to return it to his dorm before the picnic. He walked quietly toward the sound before peering around the corner. It's the girl from earlier, he thought. He stepped around the corner, but stayed where he was, book tucked under his arm. "Are you ok Princess?"

"Oh I hope so. That was quite the experience," smiled Lady Josephine. She glanced at Lord Canis out of the corner of her eyes, a smile playing onto her lips again as she noticed his blush. But she chose not to say anything as she spotted the picnic. "Where shall we sit?"

"I agree. It's much too nice out to sit inside. And I have to say the fresh air makes eating a bit more enjoyable." Lady Maybelline took a delicate bite of her apple. Arabella had come back, the white dove's feathers glimmering white. Maybelline managed to pull off a small peice of the apple, and held it up to Arabelle. The dove took it gratefully.

Bella was still crying just a bit, though her tears lessen the more she cried. She then heard someone call to her as she dare not to lift her head to see. She did not want anyone to see such a horrible crying face. She just shook her head in the process. Bells tried to wipe away her tears and sniffed, trying to stop crying.

She knew that her eyes were swollen and reddish, her cheeks stained with the salty tears, and so was her gown. She was an absolute mess with her hair a bit frizzy and she was slightly covered in dirt.

"I...I'm..." She stop, wanting to say she was not alright. "I'm fine...just ignore of my existence for now..." She said, her voice muffled in her knees, her voice was a bit stuttering as well.

"I may seem stupid princess, but I can see perfectly well that you're not alright." Maxwell's voice was cold, only gentle. He sat down beside Belle, his brown eyes expectant. He put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I'm not asking you to tell my what's wrong. But I think we best go to lunch before we're missed," he added softly.

Bella was silent for a while, until she lift her head and just sniff a bit as her tears dried and no more was falling. She used the railing to help her stand up as she fixed herself a bit. "But...I can't go...I have to change first...they will dislike the fact that I am muddy and messy right now..." She said in a soft voice.

"Thank you for your comfort...but I shall be going to freshen up...then I will head to lunch..." She said with a curtsy before leaving up the stairs. Bella continued up until she reached her dormitory of the Tulip dorm. 'Bella...you have to act proper...and posed...act like a lady like, graceful, and gentle princess...be refreshed and fun...' She told herself as she walked.

When she entered, she went straight away to pick out a simple gown before going to the bathing area. In there, it was a very elegant bathtub as she filled it with warm to hot water. Undressing, she gently went in with a sigh as if all her troubles were gone. Bella washed herself cleanly before getting out and drying herself off. Soon, she was wearing a simple lavender gown, styled as a empire dress with a square cut bodice and slightly puff short sleeves. It was really simple, with matching slippers. Bella went to her side of the room, to her vanity desk to brush her hair. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw that she was clean of any mess and she felt more refreshed as well. She then tied her golden long waist length hair into a high pony tail with a long lavender ribbon into a bow.

"There...I feel much better..." She told herself before heading out of her room and down the stairs again.

Lukas looked at the two princesses and thought about their invitation. He wasn't the type to be invited or socialize among the people, yet he felt obligated to bother the two princesses. "No, that'll be..." Lukas wanted to decline the invitation but then paused when Toby turned back and looked at him. It was clearly that the dog was hungry. Toby turned around to face Lukas, looking like if Lukas wanted to leave, he would follow. Lukas gave a sigh and returned his glance at the two princesses. "Well, I thank you for your invitation," he said as he gave them a slight bow. Lukas seated himself down behind the two princesses as Toby, who was in between the two, came over to lick Lukas in the face. "Ah, you slime..." Lukas chuckled softly and petted the dog. "Go on and eat...you player," he said to the dog before patting him to return to the two princesses. He sat back and watched the three of them, mostly at Toby. "That darn dog..." he muttered before a small smile appeared on his face. He was somewhat glad that the two princesses didn't shoo the poor dog away.

Toby flipped over and Grace rubbed his stomach. While she was doing that, she looked over at Lukas, admiring the way the light caught his violet hair. She wished hers was that pretty. "You never mentioned your name," she prodded. She didn't want to be annoying, because this boy obviously wasn't very sociable, but she at least wanted to know what she should call him.

Lord Taite nodded. "So, I haven't seen you since breakfast," he said, directing it at his cousin, "What have you been up to? Preparing for our extra classes?" He sipped at his tea, careful as always not to slurp. It was obvious from the way he carried himself and his manners that he was raised by parents who had insisted that he have impeccable etiquette. Now it came naturally.

Rylan felt that Aaric was overshooting, trying to keep Coralie comfortable. However, it showed that Aaric was concerned for her, which was good for him. As nobility, neither of them were used to being told they were wrong. The three of them headed to Coralie's room, and he took a minute to register the flood of pink before they dropped off her books and went out to the gardens. The air was refreshing, he had to admit, even though he wasn't usually an out of doors person. It seemed nearly everyone was outside, enjoying drinks, fruit, and finger sandwiches on tastefully laid out blankets. He did find the crystal weights a bit gaudy though.
