{Short post, sorreh}

"Are you sure?...I thought the swamp was this way.." Serena pointed in the opposite direction. Though she hadn't been in the Forest for a while, she knew, or at least, believed that the swams were the other way. "Well...it's getting late. We're going to need to hurry and get to where the crocodiles are or Yuki-sensei might kill us...maybe she'll give us another day.." That would be a good idea..."Hey. Where's Xyn? Didn't find him?" The Raiken questioned Sorri. When did she even last see him?

"Bah with the foolishness of directions, I now exactly where I'm going." Sorri hadn't walked around the forest, anyone under chunin rank was never allowed to, of coarse he climb a tree or to have a thinking session by himself but beyond hat he never escapaded around the wild untamed area. He knew their were far worse things then animals and quicksand, and only took note of it on one occasion. A beastly roar that shook the entire island one day while the class had training in the forest. It obviously wasn't human and was till so beyond the power of an animal and if they were unlucky they would be its discoverers. Sorri hopped for nothing more then to find these crocodiles, take them out and head back to the village to watch the ceremoniesof the other genin.

Hours had pass by now and They seemed to have gotten nowhere at all and Sorri had whelps over his body from trying to slap insects away from him and his delicious blood.

In the shallow waters of the swamp, the crocodiles swam... They never stalked their prey, but awaited for them to come. Sitting silently in the shallow waters, veiled by the darkness, they waited.... and waited. They would not move until they came closer... Until they finally did. And quicker than any shinobi could imagine, they snapped! Their long jaws shot out at the two walking through the forest without warning.

Serena seemed skeptical of Sorri's words. "Riighht...it's getting dark though now...You think we'd still be able to get the crocodiles in this time of day?" She was a bit worried that they wouldn't be able to find their way out of the rather creepy forest. The sounds of the trees swaying back and forth, the snapping twigs of creatures she couldn't see--she hated to hear those sounds unless she had to.

Then, all of a sudden, after a while of walking, the Raiken could feel the ground getting a bit softer and damper. Did they actually make it to the swamp? She couldn't tell for sure. She found herself being very wary of her surroundings now, though she couldn't really see or hear anything splashing around that told them there were crocodiles. "That's weird...this should be the swamp..where are the--" Serena's incomplete question was answered before she knew it. Large jaws quickly snapped out at her and Sorri unexpectedly. "Sorri! Watch out!"

(Oh noes, I is gatoor foodz)

Sorri waved Serena off and scoffed. No way was he going to just give up because the sun went down and the moon had made its way up. He hadn't had a mission delay on record yet, way he was gonna give up on this sear...The small shine of frog skin jumped the opposite way that thy walked Sorri barely even noticed the movements of the insignificant hoppers but,,,they must have been escaping something dangerous...in the water..While He was busy watch frogs, he was about t be made dinner He shout to get her onto her heels and then pushed her back before he tried to jump away, but of no matter how quickly Sorri moved he would be able a beast that had been master of its hunting skills since birth He put up his arm in defense to save his face from being torn off

{Well dang ._.}

"Oh shoot! Hold on!" Serena couldn't help but naturally react to Sorri's situation by rushing to grab a hold of the crocodile's jaws. Unfortunately, instinct and natural responses sometimes causes a person to forget to use common sense. Like the fact that crocodile jaws are really really strong, making it rather tough for one girl to pull apart. "Ugh! How am I supposed to do this?!" The Raiken's sandals and feet were getting all wet on the damp and squishy land, and they slid as she attempted to pull the menacing jaws back.

Nothing. Serena was trying to pull and pry open the mouth, but nothing came of it. She knew she could do it, but something was wrong...she wasn't using her full strenth. There had to be a way. If only she had like a giant wooden club or something. The Raiken stopped for a split second to think. A way, a way, she had to find a way!

"Aaaaagh" As the grips of the croc's massive mouth tighten. The food's eyes teared at the thought of losing his arm he started acing out whatever he could think up to get the croc off his body, banging at it with head butts, a few punches that just end up with a blooded forehead and scratched up knuckles. After swelling up his chakra and forcing it to griped arm to try to loosen up if he got a change to pull back and grabbed at his to slash across the beast's bloodthirsty eyes. "Help my slice this thing apartbefore another one pops up and we really get in deep s**t"

Serena looked at Sorri with a blank stare. "Ok, wait, wait..." The girl wasn't just going to stab the crocodile recklessly. If she tried to attack it, it might just end of gripping Sorri's arm harder. What if she went for the middle of the back? The croc may let go if it noticed her messing with it's back. Maybe the impact would force it to release her friend.

"Here goes." The Raiken jumped and aimed to stomp down on the middle of the large creature's back. She was hoping that this wouldn't actually cause the crocodile to bite down on her teammate's arm and rip it off but...well, there wasn't that much time to think about it any longer, and it seemed quite reasonable. Sorri might be having to put his arms in bandages after this...He was getting rather scraped up. She may too, if she screws up and another gator comes and bites her somewhere, too.

[THIS SHALL BE A LEARNING EXPERIECNE!]
[Serena could've given +her Detect skill to Sorri to do some passive teamwork in detecting the croc hiding in the water.]
[Sun, add your totals to your rolls in your post.]
[Dang, don't be so ancy. Just because its an NPC doesn't mean you can ignore normal game rules. I do my attack, you roll your reply and then an attacking post. Since Sorri is captured, all he can do is roll escapes. He can't attack cause he's been grapple. @_@ ]

The croc did not allow Sorri to break from his teeth which dug deep into his dark skin causing him to bleed. The Croc could barely feel Serena's attempt to wrestle him and free Sorri, so he didn't even move! However, the croc's black eyes did spot the other meat sack approaching with a strike and felt its grip on the dark meat to loosen. The croc retreated back into the waters, trying to hide itself once again.

[Forgot my rolls.]

As the croc swam away and tried to dive deep in the waters, he sunk to the bottom trying to hide from the two meat sacks that were fighting back. He would lie in wait at the bottom. The water was his territory and if they dared swim downwards, they better work together wisely in order to beat him in his own territory. His skin blended in nicely with the darkness of the bottom of the pond and the green moss that darkened the waters.

[sorry Baylu, I've been slipping. my bad.]

Sorri got aggravated when his kunia did nothing but bounce off that thick scales of the dinosaur descendant. It forced its way out of his hand and onto the wet ground next to his feet. Why did everything they fight always make sure to grip him up anyway? When it let go and rushed back into the water he began glaring at the thick moss ridden liquid before looking back at his bit up arm with relief that it was still there. "Thanks for that Serena." The urge for got and bag the water demon by himself was flashing across his mind, but going into the water with no plan was bad,let alone not even knowing where the beast might be. It would already know exactly where to find you. They need to come up with something to either bait to gator up on land or distract while they were in the water."Any Ideas?" He questioned his teammate while watching the water for a hint of the crocogator..what was the different from the two anyway? Was there a difference of teeth ir skin, did they just have different names in different areas. The was a shiny stone..no, not a stone, there were slits on both sies, that was an idea. It seem to close when it saw it had been noticed. "...there"

{If Sorri sees the croc, does that necessarily mean that Serena sees it too?}

Serena couldn't believe that it actually worked. She somehow managed to get the crocodile off of Sorri, but they still had to capture it. Off the spot, Sorri noticed where the creature had slid into the water. "Where?" She went through different ways of capturing the thing, but couldn't find one the worked. The crocodiles thick skin would be too protective against something as small as a shuriken. Stabbing it with a kunai--she really doubted that would do much but make the situation worse..."Uhh...you're good at roping things aren't you?" It was all she could think of at the moment... "Knock it out and then drag it? um. That's all I got at the moment.."

The crocodile would be sure to strike any minute. The Raiken knew Sorri was eyeing it carefully, though. He knew just where it was. "What do you think...hurry." She looked into the depths of the water, searching for what Sorri saw.

He began pointing without moving his arms away from his side, he didn't want the crocodile to notice that it had been discovered. Sarena wanted to know was he good at roping things up, sure he had been alright at it, it could be a more effective trick or rather said, jutsu with time but at the moment he could tie a knot well enough."I guess, but knocking it out might be a bit harder while in the water with it, its like going into its own trap. but maybe if we can tale it out before that is even needed we can move on to the next one." Opening up the holster at the left side of his hip and fingering three shuriken before walking to the dirt road's edge and bending over to clean the wound..he was gonna go in anyway. "Serena whether I gain the control over the situation with the croc or not, back me up with some kunia yeah? I'll find them all later when the mission is over with"

{Sorri, I think you need to attack in your last post--the one with the attack roll. Then I can attack afterwards}

Serena looked further into the waters past the fog, as Sorri had said. She spied something in the water, but was still unsure whether or not it was the same thing her teammate saw. "Oh, okay..I'll back you up. I only have one Kunai on me though, so if this doesn't work, I'm going close range." Really, the girl didn't know if throwing sharp things at it would actually do anything to the crocodile, but since Sorri was already getting closer and closer, she pulled out her kunai to help. Who knows? Maybe the crocodile would thrash so much it would tire itself out.
