(( Ok, sorry. ))

Adine McLearynn

In the lobby, the guard saw the younger of the two children jumped up and shouted after Adine, and he quickly scolded her.

"You can't talk that way to her, you little tresspasser," he chided coolly. "You two are in a heap of trouble right now, so I think it's in your best interests if you just sit tight and keep your mouths shut until Brigadier General Mustang arrives." He glared coldly into the intense purple eyes of the smaller child. "That woman is Adine. Adine McLearynn, and she is to be treated with the same respect you would show one of the soldiers around here. She may not have stripes on her shoulders, but she's ranked higher in this place than I am, so you'd best speak to her more politely, or things may just end up getting worse for you..."

Grinding her teeh in defeat, she stomped back to her seat in the lobby. She had no power here, and this was the world of adults. Questions spiraled though her thoughts, it was a accident after all why all the fuss? that odd offcial was he connected with the Adine? And who was Brigadier General Mustang? . Riku grew from angry to worried, they caught as tresspassers, who knows what they did to tresspasers. Shaking away the frightening thoughts, Riku turned to Kat. " So any ideas? to get out of this mess?" she whispered covering the side of her mouth so the guard wouldn't notice.

Adine McLearynn
Adine clicked her way back up the hallway, and the guard quickly stopped chiding the little girl and straightened his back as she approached.

"Did you retrieve what you lost, Ma'am?" he asked, and Adine nodded.

"Yes," she said, and glanced around, her eyes flciking to all corners of the room. "Has the junshou arrived yet?"

"Not yet, Ma'am," he replied, and went back to his post.

Adine took a seat beside Kat and studied her fingernails.

Hurry up, Junshou... she thought deviously, a long thin smile creeping across her features. I can't wait until things get into full swing...

Riku flinched at the sight, of Adine returning to the lobby. Moving to as far as possible away, from the Irish woman to the last seat. And procceded to glare outside though the window, clenching and releasing her fists from fury. Riku closed her eyes, in a attempt to calm herself down and forced herself to read to pass the time.

Kat glared at the floor. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the Irish woman's long, slender legs and noisy heels. She frowned in disgust, wondering how many of the male officials she had wrapped around her finger.

The longer she sat there thinking about the woman, the more angry she got. She wanted to get away. A thought came to her mind - the alchemist Riku had mentioned earlier.... the Fullmetal Alchemist. Didn't Riku want to find him. Kat hoped he wasn't involved in whatever plot this was.

As a tendril of purple fell in her face, another idea came to her. She cast a sideways glane at Red-head. She's so thin.... I'm pretty muscular, and highly trained in martial arts.... I could probably kick her butt.

But then, maybe that wasn't such a good idea.... yet. She could wait for the right moment.

Hagane no Winry
Gnawing on her lower lip a moment, Winry took a small step forward, around Al.

"Um...?" She asked, somewhat timidly.

Don't sound like you're frightened of her, you idiot! You just want to know what she was talking about!! If this is her idea of some kind of sick joke, it's not EVEN funny...

By now, she'd gone through some many different expressions in the span of four seconds, she probably would have made herself think she was insane, had she been looking in a mirror. She shook her head quickly.

"Who were you talking about... when you said "Ed"...? Surely, you can't mean Al's brother..." She glanced over her shoulder at the younger Elric, as if asking him to support her statement.

Ed disappeared four years ago... so why... no -- HOW could he be back in Central...? This girl must be out of her mind...!

((Okay, Ash... I'll go along with this... but uhm... how would your character have known Ed was at HQ? I think us Canon characters need a bit of an explination here... v__v; ))

((Ed was seen at HQ before Ash left. She's assuming he's still there, because with the storm, there's really no where to go. It was in an earlier post, at least I believe it was))

It was Ash's turn to give a strange look, "Yeah, Al's brother, I don't think I've known of any other Ed. He was at HQ when I left, I seriously doubt he's gone anywhere in the storm. Besides, he was escorting Reina to the building, I don't think he'd get out without some familiar faces wanting to catch up."

The odd look she had been getting intensified, and Ash was starting to become a bit annoyed, "What? If you don't believe me, come and see for yourself."

And with that she pushed her weight off the building and walked out into the rain, taking slower steps so the duo behind could follow.

((riza says: you, too, ash, sweetie, please try and keep quote vortexes to a minimum. it just starts to look silly and messy after a while. xd thanks!))

Adine sighed and tapped her fingernails on her knee.

Where the hell was Mustang? She didn't have time to play with these children, she had an appointment to keep! She seriously doubted Envy was the patient type. With a gusty sigh and a sidelong glance toward the two youngsters (one of which Adine was certain was sizing her up as a physical opponent), she set her elbow on her crossed knees and rested her chin in her palm.

She couldn't go anywhere until the kids were handled...and the kids were going nowhere until the brigadier general got his fancy a** down to the lobby to question them.

Adine scowled and chewed on her lower lip.

Oh, man...Envy's gonna kill me for making him wait so long... she grumbled to herself. Come on, Mustang... You don't always have to be fashionably late... You're not the only one on a tight schedule around here...

Armony Eiselstein

Name: Armony Eiselstein
Age: 18 [Which I only used because the rpg seems to be taking place post-series.]
Occupation: Alchemist-in-training
Hair: Short and wild, a bright cherry red to match her eyes. [See Avatar]
Height: 5'3"
Personality: Armony is quite spunky, and very energetic. She's always eager to learn, to impress, and to please people. Most of the time she's fairly polite, but beware! Armony has a bit of a mean streak in her! Make sure not to get on her bad side -- she can be quite a brat at times.
Automail?: Nope.
Wears: A white sleeveless t-shirt, covered by a sandy-beige three-quarter sleeved jacket with small buckle-type adornments. The white shirt is tucked into a pair of shorts the color of the jacket, held tight to her waist by a orange-tinged belt. She wears a pair of pointy-toed boots the same shade as the shorts and jacket, also adorned with buckles. To accent it all, she wears a pair of rubbery orange bracelets on both her wrists.
Alchemy: Armony is niether skilled nor experienced in the field of alchemy, but is always willing to learn. For a reason she's not entirely sure of, her main purpose in learning the ancient science is to make a flower grow all of her own devices.

Kat noticed that the Irish woman seemed to be getting impatient. Kat wondered what she was waiting for. It probably wasn't good.

How in the world are we going to get out of this? Kat thought impatiently. Beating her up is pretty risky.... and I'm not that good at alchemy.... And there's no telling what she can do..... Kat ran her gloved figers through her violet hair, sighing.

She thought back on only a little while earlier, when she had (accidentally) created some kind of wind blow around her. Had she unknowingly used alchemy? It was true she hadn't found her strength in the field yet. Could she possibly be good with weather? She sighed again, frusterated.

If martial arts or alchemy alone won't work, what is I used both? Kat thought. What if I used alchemy to create somekind of storm, and while Sleeze-ball is distracted, I kick her butt?

... No, it's too ricky, too risky.... but just to find out if I really can do something like that.....

Turning her back to "Sleeze-ball", Kat concentrated her thoughts onto everything about alchemy she knew, and used the moisture in the air to create a frail orb of ice, delicate as a Christmas ornament.

Grinning, Kat melted it before Sleezy would see.

The uncomfortable lump dropped deep into the pit of Winry's stomach. Yet at the same time, her innards leapt around in elation at the thought.

He couldn't possibly...!

She shot a quick glance at Al, her eyes slightly wild. Was this girl for real? Was Ed -- their Ed -- really in the HeadQuarters of Central City?

Her miffed attitude toward Al having not mentioned he was stopping in Central City having completey evaporated by now, Winry's startled gaze followed Ashtoreth as she walked into the rain. She hesitated another moment, waiting for Al's reaction to what was being said.

Riku looked up from her book, noticing that Kat was using alchemy to create white orbs. Hmm--- interesting, she ripped a piece of paper from her notebook and scrawled a note for Kat. And discreetly tossed it to her, illusion was one of her big points perhaps she could do something to help instead of waiting.

((Sorry for the delay in responding, and this'll be a bit long as I try to bring things up to date. Well, here goes...))

Light_Ashtoreth
Ash seemed to be thinking about something, "I feel as though I forgot to mention something..." She closed her eyes to focus and then snapped them open again, "Of course! Al, if you're looking for Ed, he's at HQ."

Alphonse Elric was now in a state of shock. His suitcase hit the ground with a dull thud. His eyes were as big as dinner plates and his pupils contracted, and with a little imagination your could see his jaw bounce off the cold wet pavement next to where his bag now lay. IOf anyone was watching carefully, they could have seen him sway slightly as the breeze caught the coat-tails of his drenched jacket.

She cannot possibly mean Edward. He can't be back yet, and even if he was, why did he come here? We have no ties to this place, and Izumi-sensei always looked down on any mention of working with these people. But... could it really be him?

But how does Ashtoreth know what he looks like? She was not in training when he was, before we tried to revive mother, so how does she know?

Hagane no Winry
"Who were you talking about... when you said "Ed"...? Surely, you can't mean Al's brother..." She glanced over her shoulder at the younger Elric, as if asking him to support her statement.

Al nodded in agreement with Winry's question. He spoke softly, as though afraid that if he used to much noise the spell would be broken. "Uhh... Ash? Are you sure about that?"

Light_Ashtoreth
It was Ash's turn to give a strange look, "Yeah, Al's brother, I don't think I've known of any other Ed. He was at HQ when I left, I seriously doubt he's gone anywhere in the storm. Besides, he was escorting Reina to the building, I don't think he'd get out without some familiar faces wanting to catch up."

The odd look she had been getting intensified, and Ash was starting to become a bit annoyed, "What? If you don't believe me, come and see for yourself."

"But how do you know what my brother looks like? When I was in training with you, after I awoke and he went missing, he was never around. So how do you know what he looks like, Ash? Has he been back all this time, and staying here?"

There was a twinge of skepticism and sadness to his voice, as though he was hurt that his brother would not have sought him out as soon as he returned. He tried not to show the tears, but he was having to fight them back for a few seconds.

It's can't be like that, can it? He would have come to see Winry or myself first, not just stay here, in this city, where I would never know to look. Besides, my attempts to cross the gate were never really that successful, or at least not that I knew about. I didn't think I ever made it across to get him successfully, but that last time things did feel different somehow.

Hagane no Winry
She shot a quick glance at Al, her eyes slightly wild. Was this girl for real? Was Ed -- their Ed -- really in the HeadQuarters of Central City?

Her miffed attitude toward Al having not mentioned he was stopping in Central City having completey evaporated by now, Winry's startled gaze followed Ashtoreth as she walked into the rain. She hesitated another moment, waiting for Al's reaction to what was being said.

Al had been so concentrated on his own feelings about what was going on that he missed Winry's reaction entirely. He looked over at her as she glanced at him, also searching for some glimmer of hope, yet not daring for it to surface, lest he break down into tears. He struggled with it for a few long seconds, then grabbed his suitcase back off the ground and motioned towards the Military HQ.

With a bit more strength and determination in his voice than he really felt, he turned toward he childhood friend and spoke. "Winry, I think there is only one way to deal with this. I don't know what we'll find there, but we have to check this HQ building and see if Ed really is there or not. I cannot leave this city until I know for sure about this."

Before he walked back into the murky darkness Al wiped his sleeve across his face in an attempt to clear his vision. He was thankful that the rain helped cover the tears streaming down his cheeks. As he walked in the direction of that dark looming building once more, he felt the need to thank some divine presense for his brother's safe return, providing he was indeed here. He was just as ready to curse those same beings for their failure should this all turn out to be a ruse, some cosmic joke where he was the punchline...

Winry nodded in response to Al's comment. She wasn't sure if she was praying for Ed to be there or not. How was she supposed to act?

She resisted the urge to grasp Al's hand as he hoisted his suitcase and followed Ashtoreth. Though the rain masked his tears, she could almost feel them running down her own cheeks. The bond between the Elric brothers was the strongest Winry had ever seen.

To think... to think that Ed had just been hiding out here in Central...

...No! He wouldn't. Winry knew better. Ed cared too much for his little brother to have just abandoned him -- and everyone else, for that matter -- for four years.

He wouldn't... He... He couldn't...!!

She fisted her hand at her side, and shifted her toolbox on her shoulder again, following Al.

((I haven't posted in a long time. Well, here goes. Sorry if I'm using bad grammar or made any mistakes.))

Ayumi had found the guy she was looking for. He was pretty new and some people had said that he needed an official's permission to stay in the millitary barracks. He was a really twitchy guy and he felt really sorry for him so she gave hime permission.

She was now absent-mindedly walking around the halls of HQ. She looked up to see where she was.The hell, how'd I end up in the lobby?! She looked around and saw Adine McLearyn. She reaised and eybrow. Huh, what's the biggest headturner in central doing here? She walked over to see what was going on. As she got nearer and nearer, she noticed a two girls.

"Guard, may I ask what is going on here?"

The Guard jumped up."Lt.Colonel Tsukiyama! W-what are you doing here? I thought you had the night off?"

"Someone had called me back here for some'urgent' business. I already finished that task and I thought I'd stay around a bit more. My subordinates are real slackers when I'm not around, so I needed to too stay and supervise them. Well, hurry up and answer my question."
"Ah, yes. Well Miss Adine caught these two children in Central. They are now waiting for Brigiadier General Mustang" Ayumi nodded her head."I see. Since I am head of Investigations, it is my duty to interrogate this kids right Adine?"

Adine rose up. She seemed furious she was about to speack when Ayumi cut her off and shot a glare at Adine."What part of this don't you understand or did you just not hear correctly Adine. I'm taking these kids to my office to interrogate them and that's final," she replied in fierce tone.

She faced both of the kids."You two, follow me. Now." She started walking away and both of them got up. Ayumi turned around and faced the guard. She pointed to him and said,"You. Tell Brigadier General Mustang that he will not be needed anymore. I'll be taking them. " She turned on her heel and headed toward her office.

"That coat was all that was left of you in this world. I held on to it in hopes you would return one day to claim it. Though you haven't claimed it, I thought I would present it to you. I hope it's still to your liking." With that, he drew Edward into a brotherly embrace, gently resting his hand on the younger man's back. The embrace was almost protective.

Opening his eyes slowly, he jumped a bit at the familiar feeling of the worn fabric against his skin. For a brief moment he felt tears threaten to surface as he attempted to control the flood of memories that suddenly took him over.

Feeling the worn red fabric that was now around his shoulders, he remembered every little thing about the four years he and his younger brother had spent searching for the answer to make things right again -- to make things the way they were before they had tried the unmentionable.

Gently, he leaned against Roy, who was now holding him in a protective brotherly embrace. He closed his eyes as he thought about how good it was to be back with the ones he cherished most.

"Tadaima." His voice was but a soft whisper to the occupants of the room. Opening his eyes, he glanced at the various people who were in the room. Yellow eyes lingering on Havoc, then Riza, and then back to Mustang. He smiled a bit as he looked to them.
