Noryoku breathed a sigh of relief. The Litany jostled slightly as the lift contacted the ship's hull and brought it into one of the Dauntless's many hangars. Once in the hangar, Noryoku extended the boarding ramp and stepped onto the deck. He glanced up at his ship briefly and winced. Massive holes and deep scars had been gouged into the once gleaming hull. An exposed conduit sparked wildly. Noryoku whistled, and Chronos flew out of the ship to perch on his shoulder.

The click of boots filled the hangar as Sek walked in, his grey and white Chronos colored outfit barely moving in the air.
"You're a fool, you know that? You're one of the few survivors of Chronos, and when you see a Chronos battlecruiser, you don't even send it your registration number. How was I to know you were from my city?"

Noryoku bowed his head in shame. "I am truly sorry. I took your precautionary measures to be hostile in nature. Nonetheless, we are both alive. So, what brings the President of Chronos here, to Eden?" Chronos took off from Noryoku's shoulder and flew over to Sek, inspecting him.

"Eden is in the desert. this is the ocean. while they may stand unopposed, their area is still the barren wasteland. I'm going to fix things and destroy the Blackfire Agency once and for all." Sek replied. looking around, "and this is the last of the great Chronos warships. However, I speak of war, and we're going to awaken our slumbering ally, Atlantis." Sek grinned slightly, "and then the return of the Zephyrstream alliance will bring Morris and his allies to their knees..."

Noryoku's eyes went wide. "Atlantis survived. I thought they were lost forever! If we can awaken them, we'd gain thetechnological advantage, although submarines aren't going to be much help in the desert." He knelt before Sek. "I would be honored to serve you in battle." He grinned sheepishly. "As soon as my ship is patched up a bit, of course."
Deep within Gaia's twisting jungles, a bush ruslted slightly. Aardun strode forward carfully, every sense of hers aware of her surroundings. Suddenly, an arm shot out and caught her shoulder. She whipped around and saw Thoron just behind her. Hey! No fair! You can't phase through things! She thought to him. Thoron chuckled, his armor plates clicking softly. "You should be aware of everything around you, including that which you cannot touch." Aardun sighed silently and gazed up at the sky. The flashes of light had ceased, and now one large glimmer moved slowly across the sky. It's going towards Atlantis. She thought. Who ever would want to go there?

"yes... without our technology, we'd be weaker than the humans with magic..." Sek sighed, "How I miss our floating metropolis... But, as for technology, we should be fine on land. Arc, while it may lie in ruins in the desert, was mainly underground. And, you should remember that Arc held the knowledge of all our technology, while Pandora and Chronos produced it. It will take a while to repair your ship, even with our supplies from the ancient Gaia vaults, so I suggest you find a room in the... luxurious quarters on board... One thing we foolishly wasted resources on was decor and comfort... instead of weaponry and power... Opulence was our city's failing when Pandora stabbed us in the back." Sek continued to speak of the Chronos' fall as he turned and walked back to the bridge. He was a man cursed with immortality and solitude, and he'd probably spent the last hundred years alone in this massive ship, which still shined as it did in Chronos' prime.
In the Gaia Forests, a tree snapped and hissed near the elf, for it was not a tree at all, but a Srik. it creaked over to the elf, the slow ponderous creature looking down at Aardun. Hello little one, greetings spirit.

Noryoku sighed, thinking of his lost home. He whislted for Chronos to come back to him and followed the ship's twisting corridors to one of the rooms Sek had spoken about. He hadn't overexaggerated. The room was huge, and the four poster bed in the middle of the room could have confortably fit 4 full grown adults.
Aardun's face lit up. Nelash! It's so good to see you! Thoron nodded silently back. Aardun ran forwad, and hugged the spiky alien. Any news of the humans who raided our vaults?

Nelash te Srik gave off a slight laugh. The humans were from the Chronos City. what they took from the vaults in the ancient city... was theirs... Gaia was the protectors... If you could listen, the trees tell the tale of this entire forest. I looked towards the massive flying machine, Indeed, this ship has visited Gaia long ago, as has it's human pilot. That ship belongs to Sek, A human older than these forests, and, in fact, older than every elf... That is what the forest says, and it has yet to lie... The tree-like alien looked down, If you wish to find an enemy, seek out Eden, in the desert. Their forests fell away long ago, and the animals driven away... They seek what is not theirs, and take it. The desert to the east is rife with evil.

Aardun gazed out at the stars. Eden takes what is not theirs, regardless of who is hurt in the process, but I alone cannot fight them. Perhaps it is time for me to leave this place, and seek those who also fight against Eden. Thoron glanced at Aardun. "And what does that mean?" He asked, crossing his plated arms. Aardun grinned at him. It means we're going to Atlantis. Thoron sighed. "I thought you were going to say that. Well, we should probably leave soon, if we want to catch up with our friends in the sky." Aardun's eyes twinkled. How about now? Thoron turned around. "Get on. I can fly faster than you can run." Aardun cheered and leapt on the floating spirits back. Thoron sank slightly with the extra weight, but rose into the sky with no problem at all. "Next stop: Atlantis!" He cried as they shot off into the night.

Good luck. Nelash called after them, before strolling back into the dense forest.

Noryoku awoke suddenly. He had lain down on the massive bed, and drifted off without even realizing it. Chronos was curled up next to him. Noryoku carefully extracted himself from the small creature and cleaned himself up. Then he headed down to the hangar to check on his ship. When he got there, his jaw dropped. There, on the hangar floor, was the Litany of Fury, good as new. Noryoku ran a hand along the side of the ship's hull. Slight blemishes marked out areas that had been previously damaged. A slight movement caught his eye, and Noryoku turned to see what appeared to be a silver puddle moving across the hull. "Of course." Noryoku said, remembering, "I left the auto-repair systems on. The nanites must have repaired the hull. But with what? Nanites need material to reconstitute into other material..." A pile of metal scrap in a corner caught his eye. The corner had been previously occupied by several large metal beams. Noryoky grinned. "Computer: Give me a damage assessment." Damage Assessment complete. All Structures at 100%. Noryoku set off for the bridge.
Aardun squealed with delight as spray from the waves soaked her again. Thoron silently flew on. Suddenly he slowed to a halt. Aardun looked dissapointed. Why are we stopping? She asked. "Because we're here." Thoron replied. Aardun looked around. I sense people. A lot of people. But I don't see anything. Thoron rotated slowly on the spot. "Atlantis was a floating city. No doubt it was sunk for safety during the attack. The people are likely in stasis. We may have to wait for our 'friends' to arrive before we can do anything."

As the Survivor moved in, the hum of the machine filled the air. The massive craft stopped in the air and hung there like a brick wouldn't.
On board, Sek punched in a code on his chair. A blueish metal and glass spire extended from the water slowly, rising on a massive pneumatic lift. The tower then jerked to a halt, and a small walkway fell down, joining with the Chronos Flagship. The long hidden entrance to the city was now poking above the water at it's natural height. (Most of the city was in fact towers held above the water. the true city was deep under water, and in fact was the most populous City ever inhabited. However, most people believed the towers were the city, and that the towers themselves floated.)
Sek announced on his ship's speakers (Inside), "Alright. I'm making my way into Atlantis. Anyone wishing to go into a sleeping city with many hostile defense systems that will attack anyone unregistered may join me in the right exit way #4."

Noryoku made a sharp about face that would have put Pandora's soldiers to shame and broke into a run, heading for the exit ramp. Chronos sailed out of a connecting hallway, carrying Noryoku's plasma rifle as he ran. "Thaks buddy." Noryoku said greatfully, taking the rifle. He skidded to a halt a few feet from Sek and snapped to attention. "Reporting for duty, sir."
Thoron spun around, almost throwing Aardun into the water. They both gazed into the sky as the massive warship glided in and hovered a few feet above the water's surface. A spire rose from the depths and joined with the ship. "Hold on." Thoron murmured to Aardun. You don't have to tell me twice. Aardun though back, though she was visible twitching with excitement. Thoron glided to a place where they could watch the newcomers without being seen themselves.

Sek smiled, "thought you'd come. Octavian's men wouldn't survive down there, but we should pass through quite safely... though the security may be damaged... anywho, enough talking, let's do this." Sek opened the doors to the ship and walked into the glass and metal walkway, the spire doors opened as well.

Noryoku followed Sek into the interior of Atlantis, his rifle held at the ready.
Thoron glided after them, phasing through the walls. Aardun dismounted from his shoulders, following the last survivors of Chronos at a safe distance.
