no i am really really pissed off about this one
Ever since i made Kusari the whole point of him is that he is not supposed to be afraid of anyone or anything, if someione trys to showboat thier power to intimidate him it is supposed to simply make him angry and dislike them. but because oif the way thi is set up i am, forced to, for the first time ever, actually make him scared ..he is not supposed to be afraid of anything, but face death head on rather than lose face. and so i am probably going to wait on posting till this gets resolved or i can amend his bloodline to include the fact that his anger overrides his fear. because i do not want to shatter his character simply because of some unfortunately plotted out skills.

Okay. The way I read that is that you do a SENSE MOTIVE check to RESIST fear.
And you do a diplomacy check to DISPEL fear on ANOTHER character.
>_> Does anyone else see it that way?
Because it says you can't use diplomacy on yourself, which makes sense.
Edit: Did someone go edit Kenkie's post in the Game System Skills section? Because this is what I found when I went and checked.
Intimidate: (Cha) Use this skill to get someone to do something he doesnt want to do by means of verbal threat, force of will, and imposing body language. This skill can also be used to scare people with your power. People who fail a check will be placed on fear.
Character under fear receive a -4 penalty on all checks including attack, dodge and damage. The penalty increased by + 2 by every 5 points hither in your intimidate score over the opponent sense motive check. A neutral d20 increases the penalty to -10. A neutral 1 in the d20 makes you automatically fail any chances of intimidation. A neutral 1 in the sense motive check by the opponent makes the opponent go shaken or panic. People in panic are un able to move their dodge bonus is decreased to 10 and are un able to hold items. Using Genjutsu to send fear to the opponent heart gives you a +4 bonus on your intimidate check. The counter skill for Intimidation is Sense Motive. However if you fail your teammate can use the Diplomacy skill on you to talk you out of your state of panic. For more information check the Diplomacy skill section.

It's Sense Motive. Sorry, that was a horrible typo... and me forgetting to include the whole sentence about Sense Motive being the counter and Diplomacy being the counter if Sense Motive fails.

Amadeus is going to go talk to Kayome, right? D: He has to before he leaves to go anywhere. D<
*is demanding, but he knows it*
Kayome's currently in the same place as Amadeus is right now.
>> And I think that the way I got there was reasonable. My kitty panicked, I took her out of there.

Alright... now I'm terribly confused... Do we just continue with the way things are? I'm sure everyone would agree with me that if we just changed the numbers game so that it's thier proper stats, the outcome would be completely different. Such as Kaoru and Nakamura both not being scared...
Then again, I think it would completely throw off the situation if we did re-do it from it's current stand-point. Let's just roll with the punches for now...

Unfortunately for me...Kusari woul still be scared... but i realized this before now shich is why i did some checking and realized that somehow a crucial piece of information got left out of my clan when i finally posted it so i have to get it ammended and all i nee is to get that amendment approved.

Overlord, why don't you try the following:
Some characters in many novels seem to lack fear for many reasons, from psychosis to self training, though they all have it one way or the other, but the feeling is just transformed by the character's mind into something else. What I'm trying to say is that this could be the PERFECT opportunity to demonstrate how your character doesn't fear things. Simple roleplay him dealing with the raw fear and rationalizing it as something rather puny, not just bluntly saying he doesn't have that feeling. It sounds like a much more natural and well shaped roleplay if the character deals with the emotion and doesn't show then saying he simply doesn't have it.
This is just a suggestion so the RP keeps it's flow, doesn't have to do this if you don't want.

actually what he has always done is transfered the fear to anger, i understand that principle compleetly ,but when kusari is angry he gains strength not looses it., most of my issue is being expected to have him cower from something or someone who si flaunting thie power.. that is really supposed to make him just stubborn and angry enough to fight them weather he thinks he can win or not,.and weather or not he thinks he can win or might die, doesnt make him a rummier fighter like teh fear efect does.

So, instead of waiting for the bloodline trait to be approved, try to roleplay that without stats, it can be done with everyone's agreement and a good writing skill.

Right on, a good example of this would be turning into a logical explination like I had Nakamura do.
She's still loosing the -4 because of the effects, but she isn't "Scared" she turned it into logical curiosity as to why would someone be doing this sort of thing and instead of being scared, she is turning her fear into sensual identification.
In simple words, it means that instead of being scared and cowering in fear, she is unbecoming of herself in the Seduction area to find out WHY she is scared. ((There's other hidden meanings for those that can manage to find them. razz )) I just put out the simplist way of stating that it's easy to be scared and it's also easy to channel that fear into something more productive that could work to your advantage.
AND NO CHEATING in your rolls. razz IF you failed, you're scared. Period. Untill the Diplomacy check succeeds from another person or untill the source of fear leaves.
Edit- *Holds out the Victory sign and winks* You can't deny the Smexy wink heart *lol*
Edit 2- eek Wow... -14 to all rolls... Karite must hate me right now. It's the initial -4 because he's under Seduction, but I also beat him by 25... and it's an additional -2 for every 5 levels I beat him by... eek
