We do a "Dew Crack". Basically, dew is passed around to all the members (excluding the adults... cuz they are dumb and old... teehee not really... but they don't get one) and the drum major (or senior if there is more than one bus) calls out "detail crack dew!" and everyone cracks their dew together.. it's really neat! and then everyone drinks their dew or gives it to someone who can handle more than one dew.. and then we do dew chug challenges if there are enough dews left... that's kind of self explanitory.... hopefully (for all those wierd and sheltered people who don't know what dew is.... get out from under your rock and discover MOUNTAIN DEW)

In my school we tend to have more band BUS stories than band CAMP stories, we have so many bizarre things happen and I could go on for a long time.
Some of us in band enjoy consuming large quantities of sugar or foods and/or substances containing large amounts of it and/or other hyperactivity inducing things. Our directors try to stop us but it never works! Bwahaha! *cough* There's a big grocery store right across the street from our school and we have the tradition of going over there and buying such things before we go on trips and for after games. (it used to be for before games but our drum major has now forbade us to indulge due to the stupid actions generally commited by a certain few hyperactive band nerds) We used to get full bottles of whip cream and eat them but one of them got away on the bus and rolled to the front, I think that one had already been consumed, and our associate director assumed we were using the propellents to get high. We have other ways. Whenever we stop at a fast food restaurant, particularly when it's McDonalds, we smuggle large quantities of sugar packets out of the place, usually in Big Mac boxes or something.
Anyway, that got a bit off topic. We do a great many things, certain groups of people spend their time doing romantic activities with their respective partners (or promicuous friends for some) and we sing, and make loud noises, and one guy enjoys screaming at cars through the window asking them if they want a cookie or some other strange thing. In the dark, if we're sitting near the right people, we do homoerotic things that are somehow always funny. I could go on but I think I'll go ahead and stop here. Most of my band chooses to act quite immature at times, but it's all fun. Problem is, there are only a couple of school bus drivers in town that will take the job of driving us, we have a bit of a reputation for bus behavior, I think you can gather why that is from my previous comments.

BAND ORGY! We have attempts to fit large amounts of people in the back seat. Last check we had about 14 or 15 but the rest of the bus was being silly so they wouldn't join in.

We just talk on the way to wherever we are going (we're so small, we only have 1 bus), but on the way home we sing stupid songs the entire way. Like baby shark, or little bunny foo foo, or suffocation hyperventilation. Some of the kids also SNIFF pixy sticks (What idiots!)
Hey, any other colorado band geeks out there? PM me.

Lots of fun things happen on the band bus...
On the first game this year, one of the snare drummers broke out into "Beverly Hills" by Weezer and the whole bus got going..but we only know the chorus..and the guitar solo. XD
Once everyone got tired of "Beverly Hills", we decided to sing "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds."
Then basically the percussionists rape eachother in the back of the bus while everyone watches. And we do the wave and dance.
But this is only on the percussion bus because they're the ones who start all of this crap. xDD

I LIKE TO SING. domokun
gonk Half the band either hates the other half's choices, or hates to sing. s**t, the drumline's too good for the horn line, so they hate singing. and smiling. they don't like to smile.
... Bohemian Rhapsody and various Disney songs are our favorite songs, though. heart domokun

we like to bring our portable dvd players and watch phantom, and sing along... sometimes we yell at the crazy percussionists *grr* not really a game though, we used to sing 99 bottles of beer on the wall, but that was only when 3 out of 4 of our buses got pulled over... we also like to argue with the guard

On our way to contest or game or whatever, we just talk and sing random songs, and a lot of the time we'll sing our show. On the way back, if we did a good job, we'll do a lot of our chants. This one's really popular -
Tell 'em where we comin' from! P! C! OOOOOOO!
Tell 'em where we comin' from! P! C! OOOOOOO!
And also -
1! 2! 3! WE! ARE! THE! P! I! R! A! T! E! S! PIRATES!
And we have the entire drumline on one bus (Shool busses we use four, charter busses we need three) and they'll do their part to We Are The P, or whatever we're yelling.
And when we're on charter busses, we'll see how many people we can fit in the seats. Our record was 11, I think. Everybody's always flirting and messing around. Like, on our way back from BOA, we were all talking about who's dating who, and who likes who, and other fun stuff like that, just teasing, and Carlin, the timpanist, was like, "So, does everybody on this bus have a friend with benefits?" And me (clarinet), Nhu (oboe, pit during marching season), and Brooke (guard), who were all sitting in Shawn's (tenor sax) lap, went, "Oh, hell yeah!" and it was really funny.
